23

1Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says Yahweh.
1I Gam tatna muna belam hihmangthanga dalhjaksak belamchingmite a tung uh a gik hi, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
2Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh.
2Huaijiakin TOUPA Israelte Pathianin ka mite chingpa belamchingmite tungtang thu ah hichiin a chi: Ka gan honte na dalhsak ua, na delh mang ua, na veh kei uh, ngai un, na thilhih uh gilou jiakin nou ka hongveh sin ahi, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
3I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.
3Huan, ka gan hon om sunte ka delhjakna gam tengtenga kipan ka pi khawm nawn dinga, a huangsung uah ka hawl khawm dinga, gah nuam mahmah ahi ding ua, a pung ding uh.
4I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, says Yahweh.
4Amau limsak ding amaua dingin belamchingmi ka koih dinga, a lau nawnta kei ding ua, a kuamahmah mang a om nawn sam kei ding uh, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
5Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
5Ngaidih ua, David adin Hiang diktat ka suahsak hun ding a hong tung sina, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi; amah kumpipa in a tu dinga, pil takin a gamta dinga, gam pumpi ah dikna leh diktatna a tangtungsak ding.
6In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.
6A hun sungin Juda hotdam ahi dinga, Israel bit takin a om ding. Huai a min dinga a sak ding uh hiai ahi, TOUPA i diktatna uh ahi, chih.
7Therefore behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that they shall no more say, As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
7Huchiin, ngaidih ua, a hun a tung sin ta, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi. Israel mite Aigupta gama kipana pikhepa TOUPA a hina a hin sung, chi nawn louin.
8but, As Yahweh lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries where I had driven them. They shall dwell in their own land.
8Mal lam gam leh a delhjakna gam tengteng akipan Israel inkote suante pikhiaa, pi kik nawnpa TOUPA a hina a hin sung, a chi zota ding uh. Huan, amau gam ngei ah a teng ding uh.
9Concerning the prophets. My heart within me is broken, all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of Yahweh, and because of his holy words.
9Jawlneite tungtang thu pen, ka sungah ka lungtang a puakkham hi, ka guh tengteng a linga, zu kham bang mai ka hi, juin a zelh zoh mi bang maiin, TOUPA jiak leh a thu siangthou jiakin.
10For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourns; the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. Their course is evil, and their might is not right;
10Gam angkawm honin a dima, hamsia jiakin gamin a sun-a, gamdai lou hing munte a keu khinta; a lampi uh a giloua, a hatna uh a dik kei hi.
11for both prophet and priest are profane; yes, in my house have I found their wickedness, says Yahweh.
11Jawlneite leh siamputen Pathian khawk a sa kei ua, ka in sung mahmah ah leng a khelhna uh ka mu.
12Therefore their way shall be to them as slippery places in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their visitation, says Yahweh.
12Huaijiakin amau adingin a paina lampi uh, jan khomial lampi nal bang ahi dinga, huailaiah delhin a om ding ua a tolhpuk ding ua, a tunguah thilhoih lah ka tungsaksin ngala, amaute gawtna hun, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi.
13I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.
13Samari jawlneite tungah kihhuai ka mu, Baal louin thu a gen ua, Israelte a pi mang ua.
14In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that none does return from his wickedness: they are all of them become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah.
14Jerusalem jawlneihon tungah leng thil mulkimhuai kamu, ang a kawm ua, juauin a gamta ua, thilgilou hihte khut a hatsak ua, kuamahin a gitlouh uh kisik a tup louh loh uhi; kei dingin Sodom khuaa mite bang a honghi vek ua, a kho sunga mite tengteng leng Gomorrah khua a mite bang hial.
15Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall; for from the prophets of Jerusalem is ungodliness gone forth into all the land.
15Huaijiakin jawlneihon tungtang thu ah sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Ngaidih ua, gamsaiin ka vak dinga, thil kha ka dawnsak dinga; Jerusalem a jawlneite kiang akipanin gam pumpi ah Pathian poisaklouhna lah a pawt ta ngala.
16Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you: they teach you vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Yahweh.
16Sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Jawlnei nakiang ua thugente thu ngaikhe kei un; bangmahlou a honsinsak ua. TOUPA kama kipan hilou amau lungsim geltawmte a gen sek uh.
17They say continually to those who despise me, Yahweh has said, You shall have peace; and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come on you.
17TOUPA thu musitmite kiangah, Nang dingin a hoih ding, a chi vial ua; huan, amau deihlam engtata hih teiteimite kiangah, Thil hoihlou bangmah na tungah a hongtung kei ding, a chi uh.
18For who has stood in the council of Yahweh, that he should perceive and hear his word? who has marked my word, and heard it?
18TOUPA thugelna ah kua apang ngeia, a thu sanga thei ding kua a oma? ahihleh a thu pen kuan ahia limsaka ngaikhia om?
19Behold, the storm of Yahweh, his wrath, has gone forth. Yes, a whirling storm. It shall burst on the head of the wicked.
19Ngaidih ua, TOUPA huihpi, hehna a pawtta, ahi, pingpei huihpi; mi giloute lutang a nuai ding.
20The anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly.
20TOUPA hehna a mawk kik kei ding, a lungsima a tup chinten a tangtungsaka, a hih khit phot masiah; ni nanung lamahte non theichian ding uh.
21I sent not these prophets, yet they ran: I didn’t speak to them, yet they prophesied.
21Jawlneite bel ka sawl louhpiin a tai ua, a kiang ua thu ka gen louhin leng thu a gen uh.
22But if they had stood in my council, then had they caused my people to hear my words, and had turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
22Ka thugelnaa om tei hi le ujaw, ka thu ka mite kianga phuang ding hi ve un, a thilhih diklou ua kipan lehngatsak ding hi ve un.
23Am I a God at hand, says Yahweh, and not a God afar off?
23Gamla pia om Pathian hi louin, Pathian nai gige ka hi hia? chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
24Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Yahweh. Don’t I fill heaven and earth? says Yahweh.
24Mun kiselah ka muh theihlouh dia bu theimi a om sin ua hia? chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi. Lei leh vanah ka dim ahi kei maw? chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
25I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
25Mang ka nei, mang ka nei, chia ka mina juau gen jawlneite thugen ka zata hi.
26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart?
26Jawlnei juau gen sek, amau lungtang kikhem tawma thu sekmite lungtang ah hiai bangtan ahia a om sin?
27who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.
27Amau bel a invengte uh kiangah a mang uh a hilh ua ka mite ka min mangngilh sak a tum ua, a pate un Baal jiaka ka min a mangngilh khit bang un,
28The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? says Yahweh.
28Jawlnei mang neiin a mang gen hen, ka thu neimiin ka thu tak dik takin gen hin. Buhpawl leh buhtangin kibatna bang a nei ua? chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
29Isn’t my word like fire? says Yahweh; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
29A thu bel mei bang, sek suang seknenna bang ahi ka hia? chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
30Therefore behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who steal my words everyone from his neighbor.
30Huaijiakin, ngaiun, jawlnei hon, ka thu kiguksak tuah sekte ka dou ahi, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
31Behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who use their tongues, and say, He says.
31Ngaidih ua, Jawlnei amah dangnal saka, TOUPAN a chi, chi sekte ka dou ahi, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
32Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Yahweh, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I didn’t send them, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, says Yahweh.
32Ngaidih ua, mang juau leltak gena, hilha, a juau thute uh leh a kiotsakna thu ginaloute uh jiaka ka mite pimang jawlneite ka dou ahi, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi; ka sawl ngal keia, thu lah ka pe keia, hiai mipite a lohtak sak himhim kei ding uh, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
33When this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of Yahweh? Then you shall tell them, What burden! I will cast you off, says Yahweh.
33Hiai mipite laka mi kuain hiam, jawlnei kua hiamin, siampu kuahiamin, TOUPA puakgik bang ahia? chia a hondot leh hichiin na dawng ding hi, Noumau mah puakgik pen na hi uh, ka honpai mang sin; chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
34As for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, who shall say, The burden of Yahweh, I will even punish that man and his house.
34Jawlnei hiam, siampu hiam, mi kua hiam, TOUPA puakgik, chi a om uleh, huai mi leh a inkote ka gawt ding.
35You shall say everyone to his neighbor, and everyone to his brother, What has Yahweh answered? and, What has Yahweh spoken?
35Huchiin mi kuapeuhin a insakinkhangpa kiangah leh kuapeuhin a unaupa kiangah, TOUPAN bangchiin a dawnga. TOUPAN bang a gena? chiin na kidong ding uh.
36You shall mention the burden of Yahweh no more: for every man’s own word shall be his burden; for you have perverted the words of the living God, of Yahweh of Armies our God.
36TOUPA puakgik na loukha nawn kei ding ua, mi kuapeuh amah mah thu gen lah puakgik ahi din ngala. Pathian hing, sepaihte TOUPA, i Pathian thu u lah na lehbulh khinta ngal ua.
37You shall say to the prophet, What has Yahweh answered you? and, What has Yahweh spoken?
37Jawlnei kiangah, TOUPAN bangchiin nang a hondawnga? TOUPAN bang ahia a gen? na chi ding.
38But if you say, The burden of Yahweh; therefore thus says Yahweh: Because you say this word, The burden of Yahweh, and I have sent to you, saying, You shall not say, The burden of Yahweh;
38Huan, TOUPA puakgik, na chih peuhmah uleh, TOUPAN hichiin a chi: TOUPA puakgik na chi ding uh ahi kei, chia ka honsawla, TOUPA puakgik chia thu na gen jiakin;
39therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence:
39Huchiin, ngaiun, ka honmangngilh keuhkeuh dinga, ka honpai mang dinga, noute leh hiai khopi na kiang uleh na pate uh kianga ka na piaksa toh.Huan, khantawn demsiatna leh zahlak nilouhna mangngilh vuallouh na tunguah ka hontun ding.
40and I will bring an everlasting reproach on you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
40Huan, khantawn demsiatna leh zahlak nilouhna mangngilh vuallouh na tunguah ka hontun ding.
