¹The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),

¹Judate kumpipa, Jehoiakim, Josia tapa kum linaa Juda mite tengteng tungtanga Jeremia kianga thu hongtung: Huai hun bel Babulon kumpipa Nebukadnezzar kum khatna ahia,

²which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:

²Huai thu jawlnei Jeremiain Juda mi tengteng leh Jerusalema om tengtengte kianga a gen ahi.

³From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the word of Yahweh has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.

³Kum sawmnih leh kum thum sung tak, Judate kumpipa Josia, Amon tapa kum sawm leh kum thumna akipana tu tanin, TOUPA thu a hongtung seka, jing pipia thouin na kiang uah ka gengena, himahleh na ngaikhe kei uh.

⁴Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear)

⁴Huan, TOUPAN na kiang uah a nasemmi jawlneite tengteng a sawla, jing pipia thouin a sawla, himahleh na ngaikhe kei ua, thei dingin na bil uh na doh sam kei uh;

⁵saying, Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forevermore;

⁵Huai, jawlneiten, mi chih noumau lampi gilou akipan hongkik unla, TOUPAN na kiang ua leh na pate uh kianga nidanglai akipan khantawna dinga nou a honpiak gamah teng un:

⁶and don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no harm.

⁶Pathian dangte kiangah a na uh sem ding leh amau be ding leh na khut nasep ua ka lung kimlou sak dingin hoh kei un; huchiin, ka honhihna kei ding hi, a chi sek uh.

⁷Yet you have not listened to me, says Yahweh; that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.

⁷Himahleh nou dinga hoih lou dinga na khut nasep ua honhehsak dingin na honngaikhe kei ua, TOUPAN a chi.

⁸Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies: Because you have not heard my words,

⁸Huaijiakin sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Ka thu na ngaihkhiak louh jiak un, ngaihdih ua,

⁹behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Yahweh, and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

⁹Mal lam nam tengteng ka thukhak dinga, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi. Ka nasempa Babulon kumpipa Nebukadnezzer leng ka thukhak dinga, amaute hiai gam leh a sunga omte leh hiai kima nam om tengteng sual dingin ka honpi dinga; ka hihmang sipsip dinga, lamdangsak ding leh tek khum ding leh segawp nilouh dingin ka bawl ding.

¹⁰Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

¹⁰Huan a kiang ua kipan naumsakna husa leh kipahna husate, mouneipa aw leh mou aw te, buh gawi husa ging leh khawnvak vak te ka la mang ding.

¹¹This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

¹¹Hiai avekin a se dinga, lamdangsak ahi ding; huan hiai namte Babulon kumpipa na kum sawmsagih a sem ding uh.

¹²It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says Yahweh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever.

¹²Huan, kum sawmsagih a man hun chiangin Babulon kumpipa leh huai nam, kaldaite gam, a gitlouhna uh jiakin ka gawt dinga; khantawnin ka segawp sak ding, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi hi.

¹³I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.

¹³Huai gam tungah ka thu a tung ua ka gen tengteng, Jeremiain nam tengteng tunga a gen, hiai laibu a gelhsa tengteng ka tungsak ding hi.

¹⁴For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.

¹⁴Nam tuamtuam leh kumpipa thupi takten amautein na a kisep un, amau mahmahin leng amau na a hon sepsak sin ngal ua.

¹⁵For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, to me: take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.

¹⁵TOUPA Israelte Pathianin ka kiangah hichiin a chi: Ka khuta hiai hehna uain nou la inla, ka honsawlna ding nam teng dawnsakin.

¹⁶They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

¹⁶A dawn ding ua, a hoi dongdong ding ua, a hai ding ua, a kiang ua ka sawl ding namsau jiakin chiin.

¹⁷Then took I the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:

¹⁷Huan, TOUPA khuta nou ka laa, TOUPAN honsawlna nam teng ka dawnsaka:

¹⁸Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

¹⁸Huai bel hiaite ahi uhi: Jerusalem leh Juda khopite, huai kumpipate leh heutute, siatgawpna te, lamdangsak te, tek khum ding te, hamsiat te tang dingin, tua a omdan bang uh:

¹⁹Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

¹⁹Aigupta kumpipa Pharo leh a sikhate, a heutute leh a mi tengtengte;

²⁰and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of the Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;

²⁰Milak-hel tengteng; Uz gama kumpipa teng; Philistia gama kumpipa tengteng, Askelon leh Gaza leh Ekron leh Ashdoda om sunte kumpipate;

²¹Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;

²¹Edom leh Moab leh Amon suante;

²²and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;

²²Tura kumpipa tengteng leh Sidon kumpipa tengteng leh tuipi gei kumpipate;

²³Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;

²³Dedan leh Tema leh Buz leh a bak sam uh mette tengteng;

²⁴and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;

²⁴Arabia kumpipa tengteng, Gamdaia teng nam kihelte kumpipate tengteng;

²⁵and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;

²⁵Zimri kumpipa tengteng; Elam kumpipa tengteng; Media kumpipa tengteng;

²⁶and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

²⁶Mal lam kumpipa tengteng, a gamla leh a naia mi a kizom jelin; kumpipan a dawn ding hi.

²⁷You shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

²⁷Huan, a kiang uah sepaihte TOUPA, Israelte Pathianin hichiin a chi: Dawn unla, kham unla, lau unla, kipuk unla kipuk unla thou nawn kei un, namsau na lak ua ka sawl ding jaikin, chiin.

²⁸It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies: You shall surely drink.

²⁸Huan, na khuta nou pen dawn dinga a lak nop kei uleh hichiin na chi ding: sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Na dawn ngeingei ding uh; hiai,

²⁹For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.

²⁹Ka min tam khopi ah thil hoihlou ka hih pana, noute gawt louh hialin na om ding umaw? gawt louhin na om kei ding ua; leia teng tengteng tungah namsau ka kan sin ngala, chih sepaihte TOUPA thu pawt ahi.

³⁰Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

³⁰Huaijiakin a tungah hiaite gen inla, a kiang uah hichiin chiin: TOUPA mun sang akipanin a thum ding, a tenna siangthou akipanin a aw a suah ding, a huang tungah nakpi petmahin a thum ding; grep sukmite bangin a kikou ding, lei luahte tengteng tungah.

³¹A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, says Yahweh.

³¹Lei tawp phain husa a thang kik dinga, TOUPAN namte a langa, sa tengteng tungah vai a hawm sin, mi thugina lou jaw namsau kiangah a pe ding, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi.

³²Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.

³²Sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Ngai in, thil hoihlouin nam chih a honnuai sin hi, huihpi hat mahmah lei mun tawp akipanin a hongkuan sin hi.

³³The slain of Yahweh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground.

³³Huai ni chia TOUPA thatten lei tawp akipanin lei tawp phain a khak ding ua; sun louh leh khop louh leh vui louhin a om ding ua; leitunga eklei lel ahi ding uh.

³⁴Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in dust, you principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and you shall fall like a goodly vessel.

³⁴Belamchingmite aw kikou tuaituai unla, kap un, nou belam hon laka makaite aw, kitung buatbuat un, thaha na om ni u leh na dalhjak nite uh a hongtung petmahta hi. Bel deihhuai bangin na puk ding uh.

³⁵The shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

³⁵Belamchingmiten taimangna lampi a neikei ding ua, belam hon laka makaitenleng pelhna lampi a neikei ding uh.

³⁶A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Yahweh lays waste their pasture.

³⁶Belamchingmite kah husa, belam hon laka makaite mau ging toh, TOUPAN a tatna mun uh a suksiat lel jiakin.

³⁷The peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.

³⁷Huang muanhuaite daihsak sipsipin a omta ua, TOUPA hehna mahmah jiakin.A bukna a pawtsanta, humpinelkai bangin, a gam uh lah a sekhinta ngala, nuaisiahna namsau lauhuai jiak leh, heh mahmahna jiakin.

³⁸He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.

³⁸A bukna a pawtsanta, humpinelkai bangin, a gam uh lah a sekhinta ngala, nuaisiahna namsau lauhuai jiak leh, heh mahmahna jiakin.
