Lamentations

1

1How the city sits solitary, that was full of people! She has become as a widow, who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become tributary!
1Khopi mitea dim sek, bangchidana lungjuanga tu maimah ahia: bangchidana meithai banga hongom maimah ahia! namte laka thupi seka, bialte laka lalnu sek, bangchidana a mengsawm honghi ahia!
2She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her: All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they are become her enemies.
2Janin nakpi takin a kapa, a khituite a biangah a om: a itte tengteng lakah amah nem ding kuamah a neikeia: a lawmte tengteng a tungah lepchiahtakin a gamta ua, a melmate a honghi uhi.
3Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude; she dwells among the nations, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her within the straits.
3Gimthuakna jiak leh, saltanna thupi jiakin. Juda saltannaah a paita hi; khovelmite lakah a tenga, tawldamna a mu kei: munkochik ahte amah sawite tengtengin a pha uh.
4The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn assembly; all her gates are desolate, her priests do sigh: her virgins are afflicted, and she herself is in bitterness.
4Kikhopna thupia kuamah a hongpai louh jiak un. Zion lampiten a sun ua; a kongpite tengteng loihin a oma, a siampute a thum huthut uh: a nungak siangthoute gimthuakin a om ua, amah mah haksa thuakin a om hi.
5Her adversaries are become the head, her enemies prosper; for Yahweh has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her young children are gone into captivity before the adversary.
5A melmate lupen a hong hi a galte a lohching uh; a tatlekna tam luat jiakin Toupan lah amah gim a thuak sak ngala: gal maah a ta tuailaite saitanna ah a pai uh.
6From the daughter of Zion all her majesty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, they are gone without strength before the pursuer.
6Huan Zion tate akipanin a letna tengteng a pai mangta; a lalte loupa hing mu lou zuktalte bang ahi ua, a delhmi maah hatna neilouin a pai uh.
7Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old: when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and no one helped her, The adversaries saw her, they mocked at her desolations.
7A gimthuak ni leh a haksatniin Jerusalemin ni dang laia kipana om khinsa a thil nuamte tengteng a theigige: gal khuta a mite a puk lai un, amah kuamahin a panpih kei, galten amah a mu ua, a siatnaah a nuihsan uhi.
8Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she has become as an unclean thing; all who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yes, she sighs, and turns backward.
8Nakpitakin Jerusalemin thil a hihkhiala; huaijiakin thil nin bangin a hongom hi: a vuaktanna a muh jiak un, amah zahtak sakten a musit ta uhi: ahi, a nak huthuta, nunglamah a kiheita hi.
9Her filthiness was in her skirts; she didn’t remember her latter end; therefore is she come down wonderfully; she has no comforter: see, Yahweh, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself.
9A nitna a nik ah a oma; a beina na nung a theigige kei; huaijiakin lamdangtakin a hong kuma; lungmuang mi a neikei hi: ngaiin, Aw TOUPA, ka gimthuakna; melmapa lah kiliansak ngala.
10The adversary has spread out his hand on all her pleasant things: for she has seen that the nations are entered into her sanctuary, concerning whom you commanded that they should not enter into your assembly.
10Galin amahnu thil nuamte tengteng tungah a khut a jaka: a munsiangthou sungah khovelmi a honglut chih a mu ngala, huai tungtunga na kikhopna uah amau a honglut louh ding uh ahi chia thu na piak.
11All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for food to refresh the soul: look, Yahweh, and see; for I am become abject.
11A mite tengteng a nak huthut ua, tanghou a zong ua; kha hihhalh dingin a thil nuamte uh sa khenna dingin a pia ua: Thei inla, Aw TOUPA, enin ka hong buah jiakin.
12Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look, and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which is brought on me, With which Yahweh has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
12Nou dinga bangmah lou hi maw, nou honpai suaksante teng teng? Ngai unla, en un, ka tunga hiha om ka lungkhamna bang lungkhamna himhim a om hiam? a heh mahmah laia TOUPAN a honhihgimna bang.
13From on high has he sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them; He has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back: He has made me desolate and faint all the day.
13Tung sanga kipanin ka guhte ah mei a honsawla, amaute a zou a: ka khe adingin len a jaka, a honkinung lehheisan; segawp leh ni tuma bahin a honbawl ta hi.
14The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand; They are knit together, they have come up on my neck; he has made my strength to fail: The Lord has delivered me into their hands, against whom I am not able to stand.
14Ka tatleknate hakkol a khuta khihin a om a; phial khawmin a om ua, ka ngawng jangah a hongtung ua; ka hatna a vuaksuak sak: amau ka dou zoh louhte, a khut uah TOUPAN kei a honpia a.
15The Lord has set at nothing all my mighty men in the midst of me; He has called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men: The Lord has trodden as in a winepress the virgin daughter of Judah.
15Ka laka ka mi hatte TOUPAN bangmahlouin a om sak; ka tangvalte mekgawpna dingin ka siatna dingin aman kikhoppi poimoh a sama: uain sukna bangin TOUPAN Juda tanu siangthou a sikdenta hi.
16For these things I weep; my eye, my eye runs down with water; Because the comforter who should refresh my soul is far from me: My children are desolate, because the enemy has prevailed.
16Hiai thilte jiakin ka kapa; ka mit, tuiin a tumaa; lungmuanding ka kha hihhalh ding lah keia kipan a gam la ngala; melma a vualzoh jiakin, ka tate lah amau kiaa nutsiatin a om uhi.
17Zion spreads forth her hands; there is none to comfort her; Yahweh has commanded concerning Jacob, that those who are around him should be his adversaries: Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.
17Zionin a khutte a jak khiaa; amah lungmuan ding kuamah a om kei uh; TOUPAN Jakob tungthu ah thu a piaa, huchia a kim vela omte a galte a honghihna ding un: Jerusalem a lak uah thil nin bangin a om hi.
18Yahweh is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: Please hear all you peoples, and see my sorrow: My virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.
18Toupa a diktata: a thupiak lah ka helsan ngala; Ja un, ka hon ngen hi, nou mite tengteng, ka lungkhamna en un: ka nungaksiangthoute leh ka Tangvalte saltanna ah a pai uhi.
19I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: My priests and my elders gave up the spirit in the city, While they sought them food to refresh their souls.
19Ka itte ka sama, himahleh a honkhem uh: ka siampute leh ka upaten khopi sungah kha a khah uh, amau khate hihhalh dinga sa amau kizon ngalin.
20See, Yahweh; for I am in distress; my heart is troubled; My heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: Abroad the sword bereaves, at home there is as death.
20Aw TOUPA, ngaiin; ka dah ngala; ka lungsim a mangbanga; ka sungah ka lungtang a kilumleta; nakpitakin lah ka helta ngala: polamah namsauin a thata, in ah sihna bang a om.
21They have heard that I sigh; there is none to comfort me; All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it: You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they shall be like me.
21Ka thum aja ua: kuamah hongkhamuan ding a om kei uh; ka mangbatna ka melmate tengtengin aja ua, ahihjiakin a kipak uh: na phuan khiaksa ni na tun dinga, kei bang ahi ding uh.A gitlouhna tengtenguh na maah hongtung hen: ka tatlekna tengteng jiaka ka tung na hih bangin amau tungah leng hihin: ka thumna lah a tama, ka lungtang lah a bah ngala.
22Let all their wickedness come before you; Do to them, as you have done to me for all my transgressions: For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
22A gitlouhna tengtenguh na maah hongtung hen: ka tatlekna tengteng jiaka ka tung na hih bangin amau tungah leng hihin: ka thumna lah a tama, ka lungtang lah a bah ngala.
