¹For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

¹ گروه دربانان عبارت بودند از خانوادهٔ قورح، مشلمیا پسر قوری، از پسران آساف.

²Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

² پسران مشلمیا: نخستزاده‌اش زکریا، دوم یعدیعیئیل، سوم زبدیا، چهارم یتنئیل، پنجم عیلام، ششم یهوحانان، و هفتم الیهو عینای بود.

³Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

³ پسران عوبید اَدوم: نخستزاده‌اش شمعیا، دوم یهوزاباد، سوم یوآخ، چهارم ساکار، پنجم نتنئیل، ششم عمیئیل، هفتم یساکار و هشتم فعلتای بود. خدا او را با عطای فرزندان زیاد برکت داد.

⁴Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

⁴ پسران شمعیا: آنها رؤسای خانواده‌های خود و همگی مردانی توانا و عبارت بودند از: عتنی، رفائیل، عوبید، الزاباد، الیهو و سمکیا. الیهو و سمکیا توانایی زیادتری داشتند.

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

⁵ همهٔ ایشان پسران عوبید اَدوم بودند. ایشان و پسران و برادران، همهٔ اشخاص کاردان و لایق بودند و تعدادشان به شصت و دو نفر می‌رسید.

⁶Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

⁶ مشلمیا هجده نفر مردان توانا از نسل پسران و برادران خود داشت.

⁷The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brothers were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

⁷ حوسه از خاندان مراری پسرانی داشت او شمری را با وجودی که نخستزاده نبود، به رهبری خانواده برگزیده بود.

⁸All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service; sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

⁸ دوم حلقیا، سوم طبلیا، چهارم زکریا پسران و برادران حوسه سیزده نفر بودند.

⁹Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

⁹ نگهبانان معبد بزرگ برحسب خانواده‌هایشان گروه‌بندی شده بودند و مانند بقیّهٔ لاویان وظایفی به ایشان محول شده بود.

¹⁰Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

¹⁰ ایشان برحسب خانواده‌ها چه بزرگ و چه کوچک برای نگهبانی دروازه‌ها قرعه‌کشی کردند.

¹¹Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

¹¹ قرعهٔ دروازهٔ شرقی به شلمیا افتاد. ایشان همچنین برای پسر او زکریا که مشاوری تیز هوش بود قرعه کشیدند و دروازهٔ شمالی به نام او افتاد.

¹²Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of Yahweh.

¹² عوبید اَدوم برای نگهبانی دروازهٔ جنوبی و پسرهایش را مسئول نگهبانی از انبارها کردند.

¹³They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.

¹³ قرعهٔ دروازهٔ غربی و دروازهٔ شَلَکَتْ، در جاده‌ای که به طرف بالا می‌رفت به نام شفیم و حوسه درآمد. وظیفهٔ دروازه‌بانان به نوبت تعیین می‌شد.

¹⁴The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

¹⁴ هر روز شش نفر از لاویان در شرق و چهار نفر به طرف شمال، و چهار نفر به طرف جنوب و دو گروه دو نفره در انبارها نگهبانی می‌دادند.

¹⁵To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.

¹⁵ در حیاط غربی چهار نفر در جاده و دو نفر در حیاط نگهبانی می‌کردند.

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watch against watch.

¹⁶ ایشان گروههای نگهبانان بودند که از نسلهای قورح و مراری برگزیده شده بودند.

¹⁷Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the storehouse two and two.

¹⁷ اخیا از خانوادهٔ لاوی، مسئول خزانهٔ معبد بزرگ و همچنین خزانهٔ هدایای وقفی بود.

¹⁸For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.

¹⁸ لادان، یکی از پسران جرشون، جدّ چندین خانواده، از جمله یحیئیل بود.

¹⁹These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.

¹⁹ دو پسر دیگر یحیئیل: زیتام و برادرش، یوئیل که مسئول خزانه و انبار معبد بزرگ بودند.

²⁰Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of God’s house, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

²⁰ همچنین وظایفی به عهده خاندان عمرام، یصهار، حبرون و عُزیئیل گذاشته شده بود. شبوئیل پسر جرشوم پسر موسی مسئول ارشد خزانه بود.

²¹The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

²¹ شبوئیل بوسیلهٔ الیعزر، برادر جرشوم با شلومیت فامیل بود. الیعزر پدر رحبیا بود، رحبیا پدر یشیا بود، یشیا پدر یورام بود، یورام پدر زکری بود و زکری پدر شلومیت بود.

²²The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Yahweh.

²² شلومیت و برادرانش مسئول هدایای اهدایی به خداوند از طرف داوود پادشاه، رهبران خانواداه‌ها و خاندانها و افسران ارتش بودند.

²³Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

²³ ایشان مقداری از غنایم جنگی را برای نگهداری از معبد بزرگ هدیه دادند.

²⁴and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

²⁴ شلومیت و خانوادهٔ او مسئول تمام هدایایی که برای استفاده در معبد بزرگ تقدیم شده بود، بودند. از جمله از هدایایی که سموئیل رائی و شائول پسر قیس، ابنیر پسر نیر و یوآب پسر صرویه اهدا کرده بودند، مراقبت می‌کردند.

²⁵His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

²⁵ از خانوادهٔ یصهار، کننیا و پسرانش مسئول اجرا و دادرسی برای مردم اسرائیل بودند.

²⁶This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

²⁶ از خاندان حبرون حشبیا و برادرانش و هزار و هفتصد نفر مرد توانا از قسمت غربی رود اردن در اسرائیل را زیر نظر داشتند و کارهای خداوند و خدمات به پادشاه را بجا می‌آوردند. یریا رهبر خاندان حبرون بود در سال چهلم سلطنت داوود شجره‌نامهٔ خاندان حبرون مورد بررسی قرار گرفت و سربازان بارزی از این خاندان که در یعزیر جلعاد زندگی می‌کردند، یافت شدند. داوود پادشاه دو هزار و هفتصد نفر از مردان برجسته و رهبران خانوادهٔ یریا را برگزید و مسئول امور اداری، مذهبی و مسائل اجتماعی در اسرائیل در شرق رود اردن و سر زمین رئوبینیان و جادیان و نصف طایفهٔ منسی کرد.

²⁷They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of Yahweh.

²⁷ یریا رهبر خاندان حبرون بود در سال چهلم سلطنت داوود شجره‌نامهٔ خاندان حبرون مورد بررسی قرار گرفت و سربازان بارزی از این خاندان که در یعزیر جلعاد زندگی می‌کردند، یافت شدند. داوود پادشاه دو هزار و هفتصد نفر از مردان برجسته و رهبران خانوادهٔ یریا را برگزید و مسئول امور اداری، مذهبی و مسائل اجتماعی در اسرائیل در شرق رود اردن و سر زمین رئوبینیان و جادیان و نصف طایفهٔ منسی کرد.

²⁸All that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth, and of his brothers.

²⁹Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

³⁰Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, men of valor, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of Yahweh, and for the service of the king.

³¹Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

³²His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
