¹The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.

¹ سهم فرزندان یوسف از اردن، در شرق چشمه اریحا شروع شده تا به بیابان و کوهستان بیت‌ئیل می‌رسید

²It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

² و از بیت‌ئیل تا لوز و عطاروت که سرحد ارکیان است ادامه داشت.

³and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, even to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

³ از آن نقطه به یفلطیان که به طرف غرب است تا بیت حورون پایین و تا جازُر و ساحل دریای مدیترانه می‌رسید.

⁴The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

⁴ پس فرزندان یوسف، یعنی طایفهٔ منسی و افرایم سهم زمین خود را گرفتند.

⁵This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.

⁵ سهم خاندانهای طایفهٔ افرایم که سرحد شرقی آن از عطاروت ادار شروع می‌‌شد و تا قسمت بیت‌حورون بالا

⁶The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.

⁶ و از آنجا به دریای مدیترانه می‌‌رسید. سرحد شمالی آن از دریای مدیترانه به‌ طرف شرق، یعنی مکمیه و از آنجا گذشته تا تانه شیلوه و یانوحه ادامه داشت.

⁷It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

⁷ از یانوحه به طرف جنوب تا عطاروت و نعره و از آنجا به رود اردن ختم می‌‌شد.

⁸From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

⁸ شروع سرحد غربی آن از تفوح تا وادی قانه و پایان آن در دریای مدیترانه بود.

⁹together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

⁹ به خاندانهای طایفهٔ افرایم بعضی از شهرهای نیمی از طایفهٔ منسی هم داده شد. ایشان کنعانیانِ ساکنِ جازر را بیرون نراندند و آنها تا به امروز در بین طایفهٔ افرایم به سر می‌‌برند ولی آنها را به کار اجباری وادار کردند.

¹⁰They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.

¹⁰ ایشان کنعانیانِ ساکنِ جازر را بیرون نراندند و آنها تا به امروز در بین طایفهٔ افرایم به سر می‌‌برند ولی آنها را به کار اجباری وادار کردند.
