¹As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”

¹ وقتی عیسی از معبد بزرگ خارج می‌شد یکی از شاگردان به او گفت: «ای استاد، به این سنگها و ساختمانهای بزرگ نگاه كن.»

²Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”

² عیسی به او فرمود: «این ساختمانهای بزرگ را می‌بینی؟ هیچ‌یک از سنگهای آن روی سنگ دیگر باقی نخواهد ماند، بلكه همه زیر و رو خواهد شد.»

³As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

³ وقتی عیسی در كوه زیتون، روبه‌روی معبد بزرگ نشسته بود، پطرس و یعقوب و یوحنا و اندریاس به طور خصوصی به او گفتند:

⁴“Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”

⁴ «به ما بگو این در چه وقت اتّفاق خواهد افتاد؟ علامت نزدیک بودن وقوع این امور چه خواهد بود؟»

⁵Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

⁵ عیسی در جواب آنها فرمود: «مواظب باشید كه كسی شما را گمراه نكند.

⁶ For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he! or, “I AM!” ’ and will lead many astray.

⁶ بسیاری به نام من آمده خواهند گفت: 'من او هستم' و افراد بسیاری را گمراه خواهند ساخت.

⁷ “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁷ وقتی صدای جنگ را از نزدیک بشنوید و یا اخبار جنگ در جاهای دور به گوشتان برسد، هراسان نشوید. این چیزها باید اتّفاق بیفتد. امّا هنوز آخر كار نیست.

⁸ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

⁸ ملّتی با ملّتی دیگر و مملكتی با مملكتی دیگر جنگ خواهند كرد و در جاهای بسیار، زمین‌لرزه‌ها روی می‌دهد و خشکسالی خواهد شد. این چیزها علایم شروع دردی مانند درد زایمان است.

⁹ But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

⁹ امّا مواظب خودتان باشید، شما را برای محاكمه به شوراها خواهند كشانید و در کنیسه‌ها شلاّق خواهند زد. به‌خاطر من، شما را به حضور حكمرانان و پادشاهان خواهند برد تا در مقابل آنها شهادت دهید.

¹⁰ The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

¹⁰ اول باید انجیل به تمام ملّتها برسد.

¹¹ When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹¹ پس وقتی شما را دستگیر می‌کنند و تسلیم می‌نمایند، ناراحت نشوید كه چه بگویید بلكه آنچه در آن ساعت به وسیلهٔ روح‌القدس به شما گفته می‌شود، همان را بگویید. چون اوست كه سخن می‌گوید، نه شما.

¹² “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹² برادر، برادر را تسلیم مرگ خواهد كرد و پدر، فرزند را. فرزندان علیه والدین خود طغیان خواهند كرد و آنان را به كشتن خواهند داد.

¹³ You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

¹³ همهٔ مردم به‌خاطر اینکه نام من بر شماست، از شما روی‌گردان خواهند شد. امّا هرکه تا به آخر پایدار بماند، نجات خواهد یافت.

¹⁴ But when you see the abomination of desolation, Daniel 9:17; 11:31; 12:11 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

¹⁴ «امّا هرگاه آن مكروه ویرانی را در جایی‌که نباید باشد، مستقر ببینید (خواننده بداند مقصود چیست.) کسانی‌که در یهودیه هستند، به کوهها فرار كنند.

¹⁵ and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

¹⁵ اگر كسی در پشت بام خانه است، نباید برای بردن چیزی پایین بیاید و وارد خانه شود.

¹⁶ Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁶ و اگر در مزرعه است، نباید برای برداشتن لباس برگردد.

¹⁷ But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

¹⁷ آن روزها برای زنهای آبستن و یا شیرده چقدر وحشتناک خواهد بود!

¹⁸ Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.

¹⁸ دعا كنید كه این چیزها در زمستان پیش نیاید.

¹⁹ For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

¹⁹ زیرا در آن روزها چنان مصیبتی روی خواهد نمود، كه از زمانی‌که خدا دنیا را آفرید تا به حال، مثل آن دیده نشده و دیگر هم دیده نخواهد شد.

²⁰ Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

²⁰ اگر خداوند آن روزها را كوتاه نمی‌کرد، هیچ جانداری، جان سالم بدر نمی‌برد. امّا به‌خاطر برگزیدگان خود آن روزها را كوتاه كرده است.

²¹ Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.

²¹ پس اگر كسی به شما بگوید: 'نگاه كن مسیح اینجا و یا آنجاست!' باور نكنید.

²² For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

²² مسیح‌ها و انبیای دروغین ظهور خواهند كرد و چنان نشانه‌ها و معجزاتی خواهند نمود كه اگر ممكن باشد برگزیدگان خدا را گمراه كنند.

²³ But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

²³ مواظب خودتان باشید من شما را از همهٔ این چیزها قبلاً باخبر کرده‌ام.

²⁴ But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,

²⁴ «امّا در آن روزها بعد از آن مصیبت‌ها، آفتاب تاریک خواهد شد و ماه دیگر نخواهد درخشید.

²⁵ the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. Isaiah 13:10; 34:4

²⁵ ستاره‌ها از آسمان فرو خواهند ریخت و نیروهای آسمان متزلزل خواهند شد.

²⁶ Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

²⁶ آن وقت پسر انسان را خواهند دید كه با قدرت عظیم و جاه و جلال، بر ابرها می‌آید.

²⁷ Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

²⁷ او فرشتگان را خواهد فرستاد و برگزیدگان خود را از چهار گوشهٔ عالم از دورترین نقاط زمین تا دورترین حدود آسمان جمع خواهد كرد.

²⁸ “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

²⁸ «از درخت انجیر درس بگیرید: وقتی شاخه‌هایش سبز و شاداب می‌شوند و برگ می‌آورند، می‌دانید كه تابستان نزدیک است.

²⁹ even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

²⁹ به همان طریق وقتی وقوع این چیزها را ببینید، مطمئن باشید كه نزدیک بلكه در آستانهٔ در است.

³⁰ Most certainly I say to you, this generation The word translated “generation” (genea) could also be translated “race,” “family,” or “people.” will not pass away until all these things happen.

³⁰ یقین بدانید قبل از اینکه زندگی این نسل به سر آید، همهٔ این امور اتّفاق خواهد افتاد.

³¹ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

³¹ آسمان و زمین از بین خواهد رفت، امّا سخنان من هرگز از بین نخواهد رفت.

³² But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

³² «امّا از آن روز و ساعت هیچ‌کس خبر ندارد؛ نه فرشتگان آسمان و نه پسر، فقط پدر از آن آگاه است.

³³ Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

³³ هوشیار و آگاه باشید، شما نمی‌دانید آن زمان چه وقتی می‌آید.

³⁴ “It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

³⁴ آمدن آن روز، مانند شخصی است كه به سفر رفته و خانهٔ خود را به خادمان سپرده است تا هرکس كار خود را انجام دهد و به دربان سپرده است كه گوش به زنگ باشد.

³⁵ Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

³⁵ پس بیدار باشید چون نمی‌دانید كه صاحب خانه كی می‌آید. شب یا نصف شب، وقت سحر یا سپیده‌دَم.

³⁶ lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.

³⁶ مبادا او ناگهان بیاید و شما را در خواب ببیند. آنچه را به شما می‌گویم، به همه می‌گویم: بیدار باشید.»

³⁷ What I tell you, I tell all: Watch.”

³⁷ آنچه را به شما می‌گویم، به همه می‌گویم: بیدار باشید.»
