¹He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

¹ عیسی سوار قایق شد و از دریا گذشته به شهر خود آمد.

²Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

² در این وقت چند نفر یک مفلوج را كه در بستر خوابیده بود پیش او آوردند. عیسی ایمان آنان را دیده به آن مرد گفت: «پسرم، دل قوی‌دار، گناهانت آمرزیده شد.»

³Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”

³ فوراً بعضی از علما پیش خود گفتند «این مرد سخنان كفرآمیز می‌گوید.»

⁴Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

⁴ عیسی به افكار آنان پی برده گفت: «چرا این افكار پلید را در دل خود می‌پرورانید؟

⁵ For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’

⁵ آیا گفتن 'گناهانت آمرزیده شد' آسانتر است یا گفتن 'برخیز و راه برو'؟

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house.”

⁶ امّا حالا ثابت خواهم كرد كه پسر انسان بر روی زمین حق آمرزیدن گناهان را دارد.» سپس به آن مفلوج گفت: «برخیز، بستر خود را بردار و به خانه‌ات برو.»

⁷He arose and departed to his house.

⁷ آن مرد برخاست و به خانهٔ خود رفت.

⁸But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

⁸ مردم از دیدن این واقعه بسیار تعجّب كردند و خدا را به‌خاطر عطای چنین قدرتی به انسان شكر نمودند.

⁹As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.

⁹ عیسی از آنجا گذشت و در بین راه مردی را به نام متّی دید كه در محل دریافت عوارض نشسته بود. عیسی به او گفت: «به دنبال من بیا.» متّی برخاسته به دنبال او رفت.

¹⁰It happened as he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

¹⁰ هنگامی‌که عیسی در خانهٔ او بر سر سفره نشسته بود بسیاری از خطاكاران و باجگیران و اشخاص دیگر آمدند و با عیسی و شاگردانش سر یک سفره نشستند.

¹¹When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

¹¹ فریسیان این را دیده به شاگردان عیسی گفتند: «چرا استاد شما با باجگیران و خطاكاران غذا می‌خورد؟»

¹²When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.

¹² عیسی سخن آنان را شنیده گفت: «بیماران به طبیب احتیاج دارند، نه تندرستان.

¹³ But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ Hosea 6:6 for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. NU omits “to repentance”. ”

¹³ بروید و معنی این كلام را بفهمید: 'من رحمت می‌خواهم نه قربانی' زیرا من نیامدم تا پرهیزكاران را دعوت كنم بلكه گناهكاران را.»

¹⁴Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”

¹⁴ شاگردان یحیی نزد عیسی آمده پرسیدند: «چرا ما و فریسیان روزه می‌گیریم ولی شاگردان تو روزه نمی‌گیرند؟»

¹⁵Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

¹⁵ عیسی در جواب گفت: «آیا انتظار دارید دوستان داماد درحالی‌که داماد با ایشان است عزاداری كنند؟ زمانی می‌آید كه داماد از ایشان گرفته می‌شود، در آن روزها روزه خواهند گرفت.

¹⁶ No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.

¹⁶ «هیچ‌کس لباس كهنه را با پارچهٔ نو و آب‌نرفته وصله نمی‌کند، زیرا در این صورت آن وصله از لباس جدا می‌گردد و پارگی بدتری ایجاد می‌کند.

¹⁷ Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

¹⁷ شراب تازه را نیز در مشک كهنه نمی‌ریزند. اگر بریزند مشکها پاره می‌شود، شراب بیرون می‌ریزد و مَشکها از بین می‌رود. شراب تازه را در مشکهای نو می‌ریزند تا هم شراب و هم مشک سالم بماند.»

¹⁸While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

¹⁸ عیسی هنوز سخن می‌گفت كه سرپرست یکی از کنیسه‌ها به نزد او آمد و تعظیم كرده گفت: «دختر من همین الآن مُرد، ولی می‌دانم که اگر تو بیایی و بر او دست بگذاری او زنده خواهد شد.»

¹⁹Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.

¹⁹ عیسی برخاسته و با او رفت و شاگردانش نیز به دنبال او حركت كردند.

²⁰Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his garment;

²⁰ در این وقت زنی كه مدّت دوازده سال به خونریزی مبتلا بود از پشت سر عیسی آمد و دامن ردای او را لمس كرد،

²¹for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”

²¹ زیرا پیش خود می‌گفت: «اگر فقط بتوانم ردایش را لمس كنم شفا خواهم یافت.»

²²But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

²² عیسی برگشت و او را دیده فرمود: «دخترم، دل قوی‌دار. ایمان تو، تو را شفا داده است» و از همان لحظه او شفا یافت.

²³When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,

²³ وقتی عیسی به خانهٔ سرپرست كنیسه رسید و نوحه سرایان و مردم وحشت‌زده را دید

²⁴he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.

²⁴ فرمود: «همه بیرون بروید، این دختر نمرده بلكه در خواب است.» امّا آنها فقط به او می‌خندیدند.

²⁵But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

²⁵ وقتی عیسی همه را بیرون كرد به داخل اتاق رفت و دست دختر را گرفت و او برخاست.

²⁶The report of this went out into all that land.

²⁶ خبر این واقعه در تمام آن نواحی انتشار یافت.

²⁷As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”

²⁷ درحالی‌که عیسی از آنجا می‌گذشت، دو كور به دنبال او رفتند و فریاد می‌کردند «ای پسر داوود، به ما رحم کن»

²⁸When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”

²⁸ و وقتی او به خانه رسید آن دو نفر پیش او آمدند. عیسی از آنها پرسید: «آیا ایمان دارید كه من قادر هستم این كار را انجام دهم؟» آنها گفتند: «بلی، ای آقا»

²⁹Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”

²⁹ پس عیسی چشمان آنها را لمس كرد و فرمود: «بر طبق ایمان شما برایتان انجام بشود»

³⁰Their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”

³⁰ و چشمان آنها باز شد. عیسی با اصرار از آنها خواست كه دربارهٔ این موضوع چیزی به کسی نگویند.

³¹But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

³¹ امّا همین‌که از خانه بیرون رفتند، این اخبار را دربارهٔ عیسی در تمام آن نواحی منتشر كردند.

³²As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.

³² درحالی‌که آن دو نفر بیرون می‌رفتند، شخصی را پیش عیسی آوردند كه لال بود زیرا دیو داشت.

³³When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

³³ عیسی دیو را از او بیرون كرد و زبان او باز شد. مردم از این موضوع بسیار تعجّب كرده گفتند: «چیزی مانند این هرگز در میان قوم اسرائیل دیده نشده است.»

³⁴But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”

³⁴ امّا فریسیان گفتند: «او به كمک رئیس شیاطین، دیوها را بیرون می‌کند.»

³⁵Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

³⁵ عیسی در تمام شهرها و روستاها می‌گشت و در کنیسه‌ها تعلیم می‌داد و مژدهٔ پادشاهی خدا را اعلام می‌کرد و هر نوع ناخوشی و بیماری را شفا می‌داد.

³⁶But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed TR reads “weary” instead of “harassed” and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

³⁶ وقتی او جمعیّت زیادی را دید، دلش به حال آنها سوخت زیرا آنان مانند گوسفندان بدون شبان پریشان حال و درمانده بودند.

³⁷Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

³⁷ پس به شاگردان خود گفت: «در حقیقت محصول فراوان است ولی كارگر كم. بنابراین شما باید از صاحب محصول درخواست نمایید تا كارگرانی برای جمع‌آوری محصول خود بفرستد.»

³⁸ Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”

³⁸ بنابراین شما باید از صاحب محصول درخواست نمایید تا كارگرانی برای جمع‌آوری محصول خود بفرستد.»
