¹Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

¹ چرا ملّتها شورش می‌کنند؟ چرا مردم بی‌جهت دسیسه می‌چینند؟

²The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, The word “Anointed” is the same as the word for “Messiah” or “Christ” saying,

² پادشاهان زمین قیام می‌کنند، و حاکمان علیه خداوند و برگزیدهٔ او توطئه می‌نمایند.

³“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”

³ آنها می‌گویند: «بیایید زنجیر بندگیِ خداوند را پاره کنیم و خود را از قید و بند او آزاد سازیم.»

⁴He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” will have them in derision.

⁴ خداوند که در آسمان بر تخت خود نشسته است، به نقشه‌های ایشان می‌خندد.

⁵Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:

⁵ آنگاه از روی خشم آنها را سرزنش می‌نماید و با غضب خود آنها را به وحشت انداخته، می‌فرماید:

⁶ «من پادشاهِ برگزیدهٔ خود را در صهیون، کوه مقدّس خود، بر تخت نشانده‌ام.»

⁷I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.

⁷ پادشاه می‌گوید: «من فرمان خداوند را اعلام می‌کنم، او به من گفته است: 'از امروز من پدر تو شده‌ام، و تو پسر من هستی.

⁸Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

⁸ تو از من بخواه، و من تمام ملّتها را میراث تو می‌سازم؛ و تمام زمین از آن تو خواهد بود.

⁹You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

⁹ تو با عصای آهنین بر آنان حکمرانی خواهی کرد و مانند کوزهٔ کوزه‌گران آنان را درهم خواهی شکست.'»

¹⁰Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

¹⁰ اکنون ای پادشاهان، توجّه کنید و ای حکمرانان روی زمین، آگاه باشید.

¹¹Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

¹¹ خداوند را با ترس و لرز خدمت کنید. در برابر او تعظیم کنید، مبادا خشم او برافروخته شده شما را هلاک سازد. خوشا به حال کسانی‌که به او پناه می‌برند.

¹²Give sincere homage to the Son or, Kiss the son , lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

¹² در برابر او تعظیم کنید، مبادا خشم او برافروخته شده شما را هلاک سازد. خوشا به حال کسانی‌که به او پناه می‌برند.
