¹This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things which must happen soon, which he sent and made known by his angel or, messenger (here and wherever angel is mentioned) to his servant, John,

¹ این مكاشفه‌ای است كه خدا به عیسی مسیح داده است تا آنچه را كه باید بزودی رخ دهد، به بندگانش نشان دهد. او فرشتهٔ خود را به نزد بندهٔ خویش یوحنا فرستاد،

²who testified to God’s word, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, about everything that he saw.

² تا این چیزها را به او نشان دهد. یوحنا با بیان آنچه شنیده و دیده است به حقانیّت كلام خدا و شهادت عیسی مسیح گواهی می‌دهد.

³Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it, for the time is at hand.

³ و خوشا به حال کسی‌که این را می‌خواند و کسانی‌که به كلمات این نبوّت گوش می‌دهند و طبق آنچه در آن نوشته شده است، عمل می‌كنند. زیرا بزودی همهٔ این چیزها به وقوع خواهد پیوست.

⁴John, to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from God, who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;

⁴ از طرف یوحنا تقدیم به هفت كلیسای استان آسیا: فیض و سلامتی از جانب خدا، او ‌که هست، بود و خواهد آمد و از جانب هفت روح كه در پیشگاه تخت پادشاهی او هستند.

⁵and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood;

⁵ و از جانب عیسی مسیح، آن شاهد امین، آن نخستزاده از مردگان و فرمانده پادشاهان زمین به شما فیض و آرامش باد. او ما را دوست دارد و با خون خود ما را از گناهانمان آزاد گردانید.

⁶and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests Exodus 19:6; Isaiah 61:6 to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁶ و ما را به سلطنت رسانید تا به عنوان كاهنان، خدا یعنی پدر او را خدمت كنیم. او را تا به ابد جلال و قدرت باد، آمین.

⁷Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.

⁷ ببین او با ابرها می‌آید! همه و از جمله آن کسانی‌که به او نیزه زدند، او را خواهند دید و همهٔ اقوام جهان به‌خاطر او سوگواری خواهند كرد. آری، چنین خواهد شد! آمین.

⁸ “I am the Alpha and the Omega, TR adds “the Beginning and the End” ” says the Lord God, TR omits “God” “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

⁸ خداوند خدا می‌گوید: «من الف و یاء هستم، خداوند متعال كه بود و هست و خواهد آمد.»

⁹I John, your brother and partner with you in oppression, Kingdom, and perseverance in Christ Jesus, was on the isle that is called Patmos because of God’s Word and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

⁹ من یوحنا، برادر شما، كه در اتّحاد با عیسی در رنج و در پادشاهی و در بردباری شریک شما هستم، به‌خاطر موعظهٔ كلام خدا و شهادت به عیسی در جزیره‌ای به نام پاتموس مقیم بودم.

¹⁰I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, like a trumpet

¹⁰ آن روز، روز خداوند بود و روح‌القدس مرا فراگرفت، در آن‌ حال، از پشت سر خود صدای بلندی مثل صدای شیپور شنیدم

¹¹saying, “ TR adds “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.” What you see, write in a book and send to the seven assemblies TR adds “which are in Asia” : to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

¹¹ كه به من گفت: «آنچه را كه می‌بینی در كتابی بنویس و به این هفت كلیسا، یعنی كلیساهای: افسس، اسمیرنا، پرغامس، طیاتیرا، سارد، فیلادلفیا، و لائودیکیه بفرست.»

¹²I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. Having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands.

¹² برگشتم تا ببینم كیست كه با من سخن می‌گوید و وقتی برگشتم، هفت چراغپایهٔ زرّین دیدم.

¹³And among the lampstands was one like a son of man, Daniel 7:13 clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.

¹³ در میان چراغپایه‌ها كسی شبیه انسان بود كه ردای بلندی بر تن داشت و زِرِه زرّینی به دور سینه‌اش بود.

¹⁴His head and his hair were white as white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.

¹⁴ موهای او مثل پشم یا برف سفید بود و چشمانش مثل آتش می‌درخشید.

¹⁵His feet were like burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace. His voice was like the voice of many waters.

¹⁵ پاهایش مثل برنزی كه در كوره گداخته و سپس شفّاف شده باشد، درخشان بود و صدایش مانند صدای آبشار.

¹⁶He had seven stars in his right hand. Out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.

¹⁶ او در دست راست خود، هفت ستاره داشت و از دهانش شمشیری تیز و دو دَم بیرون می‌آمد و چهره‌اش مانند خورشید نیمروز می‌درخشید.

¹⁷When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying, “Don’t be afraid. I am the first and the last,

¹⁷ وقتی او را دیدم مثل مرده پیش پای او افتادم، امّا او دست راست خود را بر من گذاشت و گفت: «نترس، من اول و آخر هستم.

¹⁸ and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades or, Hell .

¹⁸ من زنده بودم و مردم و اكنون تا به ابد زنده هستم و كلیدهای مرگ و جهان مردگان را در دست دارم.

¹⁹ Write therefore the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will happen hereafter;

¹⁹ آنچه را می‌بینی بنویس، آنچه كه اكنون هست و بعد از این اتّفاق می‌افتد. مفهوم و مقصود آن هفت ستاره‌ای كه در دست راست من دیدی و آن هفت چراغپایه زرّین این است. آن هفت ستاره فرشتگان هفت كلیسا و آن هفت چراغپایه، هفت كلیسا می‌باشند.

²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels or, messengers (here and wherever angels are mentioned) of the seven assemblies. The seven lampstands are seven assemblies.

²⁰ مفهوم و مقصود آن هفت ستاره‌ای كه در دست راست من دیدی و آن هفت چراغپایه زرّین این است. آن هفت ستاره فرشتگان هفت كلیسا و آن هفت چراغپایه، هفت كلیسا می‌باشند.
