¹Then again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

¹ بار دیگر به بالا نگاه کردم و طوماری را دیدم که در حال پرواز بود.

²He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its breadth ten cubits.”

² فرشته از من پرسید: «چه می‌بینی؟» جواب دادم: «طومار پرنده‌ای را می‌بینم که ده متر طول و پنج متر عرض دارد.»

³Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land; for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

³ گفت: «در آن طومار لعنتهایی نوشته شده‌اند و آنها را به سراسر جهان می‌برد. در یک طرف طومار نوشته شده است که اگر کسی دزدی کند نابود می‌شود و نوشتهٔ سمت دیگر آن می‌گوید که هرگاه کسی قسم دروغ بخورد از روی زمین نابود می‌گردد.

⁴I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the midst of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

⁴ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: این لعنتها را به خانهٔ کسانی‌که دزدی کنند و آنهایی که به نام من قسم دروغ بخورند می‌فرستم تا به خانهٔ آنها داخل شوند و آن را با سنگ و چوب آن از بین ببرند.»

⁵Then the angel who talked with me came forward, and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes, and see what is this that is appearing.”

⁵ بعد فرشته‌ای که با من صحبت می‌کرد پیش آمد و به من گفت: «به بالا نگاه کن و بگو که چه می‌بینی.»

⁶I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah An ephah is a measure of volume of about 22 litres, 5.8 U. S. gallons, or about 2/3 of a bushel. basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land

⁶ پرسیدم: «آن چیست؟» فرشته جواب داد: «آن سبدی است که پُر از گناهان تمام این سرزمین می‌باشد.»

⁷(and behold, a talent A talent is a weight of about 34 kilograms or 75 pounds. of lead was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah basket.”

⁷ آن سبد سرپوشی از سُرب داشت. وقتی سرپوش برداشته شد، زنی را دیدم که در میان سبد نشسته بود.

⁸He said, “This is Wickedness”; and he threw her down into the midst of the ephah basket; and he threw the weight of lead on its mouth.

⁸ فرشته گفت: «آن زن نمایندهٔ فساد است.» بعد فرشته زن را به داخل سبد هُل داد و سرپوش سربی را دوباره روی آن گذاشت.

⁹Then lifted I up my eyes, and saw, and behold, there were two women, and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

⁹ باز به بالا نگاه کردم و دو زن دیگر را دیدم که بالهایی مانند بالهای لک‌لک داشتند. آنها به سوی سبد پرواز کردند و آن را برداشته با خود بردند.

¹⁰Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”

¹⁰ از فرشته پرسیدم: «سبد را کجا می‌برند؟» پاسخ داد: «آن را به بابل می‌برند. در آنجا پرستشگاهی برای آن می‌سازند و بعد از آن که ساخته شد، سبد را در آن می‌گذارند.»

¹¹He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”

¹¹ پاسخ داد: «آن را به بابل می‌برند. در آنجا پرستشگاهی برای آن می‌سازند و بعد از آن که ساخته شد، سبد را در آن می‌گذارند.»
