¹Lembra-te, Senhor, a bem de Davi, de todas as suas aflições;

²how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

²como jurou ao Senhor, e fez voto ao Poderoso de Jacó, dizendo:

³“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

³Não entrarei na casa em que habito, nem subirei ao leito em que durmo;

⁴I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

⁴não darei sono aos meus olhos, nem adormecimento �s minhas pálpebras,

⁵until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

⁵até que eu ache um lugar para o Senhor uma morada para o Poderoso de Jacó.

⁶Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

⁶Eis que ouvimos falar dela em Efrata, e a achamos no campo de Jaar.

⁷“We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

⁷Entremos nos seus tabernáculos; prostremo-nos ante o escabelo de seus pés.

⁸Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place; you, and the ark of your strength.

⁸Levanta-te, Senhor, entra no lugar do teu repouso, tu e a arca da tua força.

⁹Let your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

⁹Vistam-se os teus sacerdotes de justiça, e exultem de júbilo os teus santos.

¹⁰For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

¹⁰Por amor de Davi, teu servo, não rejeites a face do teu ungido.

¹¹Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

¹¹O Senhor jurou a Davi com verdade, e não se desviará dela: Do fruto das tuas entranhas porei sobre o teu trono.

¹²If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forevermore.”

¹²Se os teus filhos guardarem o meu pacto, e os meus testemunhos, que eu lhes hei de ensinar, também os seus filhos se assentarão perpetuamente no teu trono.

¹³For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

¹³Porque o Senhor escolheu a Sião; desejou-a para sua habitação, dizendo:

¹⁴“This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

¹⁴Este é o lugar do meu repouso para sempre; aqui habitarei, pois o tenho desejado.

¹⁵I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

¹⁵Abençoarei abundantemente o seu mantimento; fartarei de pão os seus necessitados.

¹⁶Her priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

¹⁶Vestirei de salvação os seus sacerdotes; e de júbilo os seus santos exultarão

¹⁷There I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

¹⁷Ali farei brotar a força de Davi; preparei uma lâmpada para o meu ungido.

¹⁸I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent.”

¹⁸Vestirei de confusão os seus inimigos; mas sobre ele resplandecerá a sua coroa.
