1Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah.
1И взял Авраам еще жену, именем Хеттуру.
2She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.
2Она родила ему Зимрана, Иокшана, Медана, Мадиана, Ишбака и Шуаха.
3Jokshan became the father of Sheba, and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim.
3Иокшан родил Шеву и Дедана. Сыны Дедана были: Ашурим, Летушим и Леюмим.
4The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
4Сыны Мадиана: Ефа, Ефер, Ханох, Авида и Елдага. Все сии сыны Хеттуры.
5Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac,
5И отдал Авраам все, что было у него, Исааку,
6but to the sons of Abraham’s concubines, Abraham gave gifts. He sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, to the east country.
6а сынам наложниц, которые были у Авраама, дал Авраам подарки и отослал их от Исаака, сына своего, еще при жизни своей, на восток, в землю восточную.
7These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.
7Дней жизни Авраамовой, которые он прожил, было сто семьдесят пять лет;
8Abraham gave up the spirit, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.
8и скончался Авраам, и умер в старости доброй, престарелый и насыщенный жизнью , и приложился к народу своему.
9Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre,
9И погребли его Исаак и Измаил, сыновья его, в пещере Махпеле, на поле Ефрона, сына Цохара, Хеттеянина, которое против Мамре,
10the field which Abraham purchased of the children of Heth. Abraham was buried there with Sarah, his wife.
10на поле, которые Авраам приобрел от сынов Хетовых. Там погребеныАвраам и Сарра, жена его.
11It happened after the death of Abraham that God blessed Isaac, his son. Isaac lived by Beer Lahai Roi.
11По смерти Авраама Бог благословил Исаака, сына его. Исаак жил при Беэр-лахай-рои.
12Now this is the history of the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bore to Abraham.
12Вот родословие Измаила, сына Авраамова, которого родила Аврааму Агарь Египтянка, служанка Саррина;
13These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to the order of their birth: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
13и вот имена сынов Измаиловых, имена их по родословию их: первенец Измаилов Наваиоф, за ним Кедар, Адбеел, Мивсам,
14Mishma, Dumah, Massa,
14Мишма, Дума, Масса,
15Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
15Хадад, Фема, Иетур, Нафиш и Кедма.
16These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their villages, and by their encampments: twelve princes, according to their nations.
16Сии суть сыны Измаиловы, и сии имена их, в селениях их, в кочевьях их. Это двенадцать князей племен их.
17These are the years of the life of Ishmael: one hundred thirty-seven years. He gave up the spirit and died, and was gathered to his people.
17Лет же жизни Измаиловой было сто тридцать семь лет; и скончался он, и умер, и приложился к народу своему.
18They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.
18Они жили от Хавилы до Сура, что пред Египтом, как идешь к Ассирии. Они поселились пред лицем всех братьев своих.
19This is the history of the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son. Abraham became the father of Isaac.
19Вот родословие Исаака, сына Авраамова. Авраам родил Исаака.
20Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Paddan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian, to be his wife.
20Исаак был сорока лет, когда он взял себе в жену Ревекку, дочь Вафуила Арамеянина из Месопотамии, сестру Лавана Арамеянина.
21Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
21И молился Исаак Господу о жене своей, потому что она была неплодна; и Господь услышал его, и зачала Ревекка, жена его.
22The children struggled together within her. She said, “If it be so, why do I live?” She went to inquire of Yahweh.
22Сыновья в утробе ее стали биться, и она сказала: если так будет, то для чего мне это? И пошла вопросить Господа.
23Yahweh said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”
23Господь сказал ей: два племени во чреве твоем, и два различных народа произойдут из утробы твоей; один народ сделается сильнеедругого, и больший будет служить меньшему.
24When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
24И настало время родить ей: и вот близнецы в утробе ее.
25The first came out red all over, like a hairy garment. They named him Esau.
25Первый вышел красный, весь, как кожа, косматый; и нарекли ему имя Исав.
26After that, his brother came out, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel. He was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.
26Потом вышел брат его, держась рукою своею за пяту Исава; и наречено ему имя Иаков. Исаак же был шестидесяти лет, когда они родились.
27The boys grew. Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field. Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.
27Дети выросли, и стал Исав человеком искусным в звероловстве, человеком полей; а Иаков человеком кротким, живущим в шатрах.
28Now Isaac loved Esau, because he ate his venison. Rebekah loved Jacob.
28Исаак любил Исава, потому что дичь его была по вкусу его, а Ревекка любила Иакова.
29Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.
29И сварил Иаков кушанье; а Исав пришел с поля усталый.
30Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.
30И сказал Исав Иакову: дай мне поесть красного, красного этого, ибо я устал. От сего дано ему прозвание: Едом.
31Jacob said, “First, sell me your birthright.”
31Но Иаков сказал: продай мне теперь же свое первородство.
32Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”
32Исав сказал: вот, я умираю, что мне в этом первородстве?
33Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.
33Иаков сказал: поклянись мне теперь же. Он поклялся ему, и продал первородство свое Иакову.
34Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils. He ate and drank, rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.
34И дал Иаков Исаву хлеба и кушанья из чечевицы; и он ел и пил, и встал и пошел; и пренебрег Исав первородство.
