¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹И сказал Господь Моисею, говоря:

²“Speak to the children of Israel, and take of them rods, one for each fathers’ house, of all their princes according to their fathers’ houses, twelve rods: write every man’s name on his rod.

²скажи сынам Израилевым и возьми у них по жезлу от колена, от всех начальников их по коленам, двенадцать жезлов, и каждого имя напиши на жезле его;

³You shall write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers’ houses.

³имя Аарона напиши на жезле Левиином, ибо один жезл от начальника колена их должны они дать ;

⁴You shall lay them up in the Tent of Meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.

⁴и положи их в скинии собрания, пред ковчегом откровения, где являюсь Я вам;

⁵It shall happen, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.”

⁵и кого Я изберу, того жезл расцветет; и так Я успокою ропот сынов Израилевых, которым они ропщут на вас.

⁶Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

⁶И сказал Моисей сынам Израилевым, и дали ему все начальники их, откаждого начальника по жезлу, по коленам их двенадцать жезлов, и жезлАаронов был среди жезлов их.

⁷Moses laid up the rods before Yahweh in the tent of the testimony.

⁷И положил Моисей жезлы пред лицем Господа в скинии откровения.

⁸It happened on the next day, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

⁸На другой день вошел Моисей в скинию откровения, ивот, жезл Ааронов, от дома Левиина, расцвел, пустил почки, дал цвет и принес миндали.

⁹Moses brought out all the rods from before Yahweh to all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

⁹И вынес Моисей все жезлы от лица Господня ко всем сынам Израилевым. И увидели они это и взяли каждый свой жезл.

¹⁰Yahweh said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their murmurings against me, that they not die.”

¹⁰И сказал Господь Моисею: положи опять жезл Ааронов пред ковчегом откровения на сохранение, в знамение для непокорных,чтобы прекратился ропот их на Меня, и они не умирали.

¹¹Moses did so. As Yahweh commanded him, so he did.

¹¹Моисей сделал это; как повелел ему Господь, так он и сделал.

¹²The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!

¹²И сказали сыны Израилевы Моисею: вот, мы умираем, погибаем, все погибаем!

¹³Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of Yahweh, dies! Will we all perish?”

¹³всякий, приближающийся к скинии Господней, умирает: не придется ли всем нам умереть?
