⁵and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;

⁶and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.

⁷Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household: each man had to make provision for a month in the year.

⁷A Šalamún mal dvanástich úradníkov nad celým Izraelom, ktorí zaopatrovali kráľa i jeho dom. Mesiac do roka bol na jedného zaopatrovať.

²⁰Júdu a Izraela bolo vtedy mnoho, jako piesku, ktorý je pri mori, čo do množstva; jedli a pili a veselili sa.

²¹Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

²¹A Šalamún panoval nad všetkými kráľovstvami od rieky až po zem Filištínov a až po hranicu Egypta. Donášali dary a slúžili Šalamúnovi po všetky dni jeho života.

²²Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,

²⁴For he had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides around him.

²⁴Lebo on vládol všade z tejto strany rieky, od Tifsachu až po Gazu, nad všetkými kráľmi, ktorí boli z tejto strany rieky, a mal pokoj zo všetkých strán dookola.

²⁵Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

²⁵A Júda a Izrael bývali bezpečne, každý pod svojím viničom a pod svojím fíkom od Dána až po Béršebu po všetky dni Šalamúnove.

²⁶Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

²⁶A Šalamún mal štyridsať tisíc jasieľ pre kone ku svojim vozom a dvanásť tisíc jazdcov.

²⁷Those officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon’s table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking.

²⁷A tamtí úradníci zaopatrovali potravou kráľa Šalamúna i každého, kto sa blížil stolu kráľa Šalamúna, každý svoj mesiac; nepripustili, aby sa niečo nedostávalo.

²⁸Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds brought they to the place where the officers were, every man according to his duty.

²⁸I jačmeň i slamu pre kone i pre jazdné kone rýchle dopravovali na miesto, kde ktorý bol, každý tak, ako mu bolo naložené.

²⁹God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and very great understanding, even as the sand that is on the seashore.

²⁹A Bôh dal Šalamúnovi múdrosť a rozumu veľmi mnoho a širokosť srdca čo do vedomostí jako piesku na brehu mora.

³⁰Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

³⁰Múdrosť Šalamúnova bola väčšia ako múdrosť všetkých synov východu a než všetka múdrosť Egypťanov.

³¹For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations all around.

³¹Áno, bol múdrejší nad všetkých ľudí, nad Étana Ezrachitského, nad Hémana, nad Kalkola a nad Dardu, synov Macholových, a jeho meno sa roznieslo po všetkých národoch dookola.

³²He spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were one thousand five.

³²Hovoril tri tisíce prísloví, a jeho piesní bolo tisíc a päť.

³³He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fish.

³³Hovoril o stromoch, od cedry, ktorá je na Libanone, až po yzop, ktorý rastie na múre, a hovoril o hovädách, o vtákoch a plazoch aj o rybách.

³⁴There came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

³⁴A prichádzali zo všetkých národov, aby počuli múdrosť Šalamúnovu, od všetkých kráľov zeme, ktorí počuli o jeho múdrosti.
