¹Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, and broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

¹Keď sa to všetko dokončilo, vyšli všetci synovia Izraelovi, ktorí sa tam nachádzali, do miest Júdových a rozlámali modlárske sochy a posekali háje a rozborili výšiny aj oltáre a odpratali to z celého Judska, Benjaminska, Efraimska a zo zeme Manassesovej až i všetko dokončili. Potom sa navrátili všetci synovia Izraelovi, každý do svojho državia, do svojich miest.

²Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites after their divisions, every man according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of Yahweh.

²A tedy Ezechiáš zase postavil oddelenia kňazov a Levitov po ich oddeleniach, každého podľa jeho služby, z kňazov a Levitov k zápalným a pokojným obetiam, aby svätoslúžili, oslavovali a chválili v bránach vojsk Hospodinových.

³He appointed also the king’s portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of Yahweh.

³A čiastka kráľova z jeho majetku venovaná bola na zápalné obeti, na zápalné obeti ranné a večerné, i na zápalné obeti, predpísané na soboty, na novmesiace a na výročné slávnosti, jako je napísané v zákone Hospodinovom.

⁴Moreover he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might give themselves to the law of Yahweh.

⁴A rozkázal ľudu, obyvateľom Jeruzalema, dávať čiastku, ustanovenú pre kňazov a Levitov, aby sa vzmužili v zákone Hospodinovom.

⁵As soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

⁵A hneď, ako vyšiel rozkaz, nasnášali synovia Izraelovi mnoho prvotín obilia, vína, oleja, medu a všetkých úrod poľných i desiatku zo všetkého nadonášali hojne.

⁶The children of Israel and Judah, who lived in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated to Yahweh their God, and laid them by heaps.

⁶Aj synovia Izraelovi a Júdovi, ktorí bývali v mestách Júdových, tí tiež donášali desiatok z volov a z drobného dobytka jako aj desiatok svätých vecí, ktoré boly zasvätené Hospodinovi, ich Bohu, a skladali to po hromadách.

⁷In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

⁷V treťom mesiaci začali zakladať tie hromady a v siedmom mesiaci dokončili.

⁸When Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed Yahweh, and his people Israel.

⁸A keď prišli Ezechiáš a kniežatá a videli hromady, dobrorečili Hospodinovi i jeho ľudu Izraelovi.

⁹Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

⁹A Ezechiáš sa pýtal kňazov a Levitov o tých hromadách.

¹⁰Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since people began to bring the offerings into the house of Yahweh, we have eaten and had enough, and have left plenty: for Yahweh has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.”

¹⁰A Azariáš, najvyšší kňaz z domu Cádokovho, mu odpovedal a riekol: Odkedy začali donášať obeť pozdvihnutia do domu Hospodinovho, vše sme jedli a nasýtili sme sa, a ešte zostáva hojne, lebo Hospodin požehnal svoj ľud, a čo zbudlo, je táto hromada.

¹¹Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in the house of Yahweh; and they prepared them.

¹¹Vtedy rozkázal Ezechiáš pripraviť komory v dome Hospodinovom, a pripravili

¹²They brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: and over them Conaniah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was second.

¹²a ta potom vnášali obeť pozdvihnutia i desiatok i posvätené veci, a verne. A bol nad nimi za správcu Konaniáš, Levita, a Šimei, jeho brat bol druhý.

¹³Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of God’s house.

¹³A Jechiel, Azaziáš, Nachat, Asahel, Jerimót, Jozabad, Eliel, Izmachiáš, Machat a Benaiáš boli úradníkmi pod správou Konaniáša a Šimeiho, jeho brata, z nariadenia kráľa Ezechiáša a Azariáša, vojvodu domu Božieho.

¹⁴Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter at the east gate, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the offerings of Yahweh, and the most holy things.

¹⁴A Kóre syn Jimnu, Levita, vrátny brány na východ, bol nad tým, čo dobrovoľne obetovali Bohu, aby rozdeľoval obeť pozdvihnutia Hospodinovu a sväté svätých.

¹⁵Under him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their office of trust, to give to their brothers by divisions, as well to the great as to the small:

¹⁶besides those who were reckoned by genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even everyone who entered into the house of Yahweh, as the duty of every day required, for their service in their offices according to their divisions;

¹⁶krome zapísaných v ich rodokmeni, ktorí boli mužského pohlavia, vo veku od troch rokov a vyše, všetkým tým, ktorí prichádzali do domu Hospodinovho pre to, čo im pripádalo na ktorý ten deň, podľa ich služby v ich úlohách a podľa toho, jaké boly ich oddelenia,

¹⁷and those who were reckoned by genealogy of the priests by their fathers’ houses, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their offices by their divisions;

¹⁷(A čo do rodokmeňa kňazov, podľa domu ich otcov, a Levitov, popísaní boli vo veku od dvadsiatich rokov a vyše podľa toho, čo bola ktorého úloha a ktoré ktorého oddelenie.)

¹⁸and those who were reckoned by genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their office of trust they sanctified themselves in holiness.

¹⁸a aby dávali popísaným podľa rodu spolu so všetkými ich drobnými deťmi, s ich ženami, s ich synmi a s ich dcérami, celému shromaždeniu, lebo vo svojej vernosti sa posvätili, aby boli svätí.

¹⁹Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, who were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every city, there were men who were mentioned by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all who were reckoned by genealogy among the Levites.

¹⁹Aj pre synov Áronových, kňazov, ktorí boli na vidieku obvodu svojich miest, vo všetkých jednotlivých mestách boli ustanovení mužovia, ktorí boli označení podľa mena, aby dávali čiastky všetkým mužského pohlavia medzi kňazmi jako i všetkým zapísaným podľa rodu medzi Levitami.

²⁰Hezekiah did so throughout all Judah; and he worked that which was good and right and faithful before Yahweh his God.

²⁰A tak urobil Ezechiáš po celom Judsku a urobil to, čo je dobré a spravedlivé, pravdivé a verné pred Hospodinom, svojím Bohom.

²¹In every work that he began in the service of God’s house, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

²¹V každom diele, ktoré začal v službe domu Božieho a v zákone a v prikázaní hľadajúc svojho Boha, to všetko robil celým svojím srdcom a dobre sa mu vodilo.
