2 Kings

24

1In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
1Za jeho dní prišiel hore Nabuchodonozor, babylonský kráľ, a Jehojakim sa mu stal služobníkom tri roky. Potom sa odvrátil a sprotivil sa mu.
2Yahweh sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
2Ale Hospodin poslal na neho lúpežné čaty Chaldejov a čaty Sýrov a čaty Moábov a čaty synov Ammonových a poslal ich na Júdu, aby ho hubili podľa slova Hospodinovho, ktoré hovoril skrze svojich služobníkov prorokov.
3Surely at the commandment of Yahweh came this on Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
3Len na rozkaz Hospodinov dialo sa to proti Júdovi, aby ho odstránil zpred svojej tvári pre hriechy Manassesove, podľa všetkého toho, čo robil,
4and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and Yahweh would not pardon.
4i pre nevinnú krv, ktorú vylial, a naplnil Jeruzalem nevinnou krvou a Hospodin už nechcel odpustiť.
5Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
5A ostatné deje Jehojakimove a všetko, čo robil, či nie je to napísané v knihe letopisov kráľov Júdových?
6So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.
6A tak ľahol Jehojakim a ležal so svojimi otcami, a kraľoval Jehojachin, jeho syn, miesto neho.
7The king of Egypt didn’t come again out of his land any more; for the king of Babylon had taken, from the brook of Egypt to the river Euphrates, all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
7A egyptský kráľ už viacej nevyšiel zo svojej zeme, lebo babylonský kráľ pobral všetko, hen od Egyptského potoka až po rieku Eufrates, všetko, čo mal egyptský kráľ.
8Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned in Jerusalem three months: and his mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
8Jehojachin mal osemnásť rokov, keď začal kraľovať, a kraľoval tri mesiace v Jeruzaleme. A meno jeho matky bolo Nechušta, dcéra Elnatánová, z Jeruzalema.
9He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that his father had done.
9A robil to, čo je zlé v očiach Hospodinových, všetko tak, ako robil jeho otec.
10At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
10V tom čase prišli hore služobníci Nabuchodonozora, babylonského kráľa, do Jeruzalema, a mesto bolo obľahnuté.
11Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to the city, while his servants were besieging it;
11A prišiel aj Nabuchodonozor, babylonský kráľ, proti mestu, kým ho obliehali jeho služobníci.
12and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
12Vtedy vyšiel Jehojachin, judský kráľ, k babylonskému kráľovi, on i jeho matka i jeho služobníci i jeho kniežatá i jeho komorníci, a babylonský kráľ ho vzal v ôsmom roku svojho kraľovania.
13He carried out there all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in Yahweh’s temple, as Yahweh had said.
13A vyniesol odtiaľ všetky poklady domu Hospodinovho a poklady domu kráľovho a otĺkol všetko náradie zo zlata, ktorého bol narobil Šalamún, izraelský kráľ, v chráme Hospodinovom, tak ako hovoril Hospodin.
14He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, except the poorest sort of the people of the land.
14A prestehoval celý Jeruzalem i všetky kniežatá i všetkých udatných mužov, desať tisíc zajatých, i všetkých tesárov a zámočníkov; nezostalo nič krome chudobného ľudu zeme.
15He carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon; and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the chief men of the land, carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
15A odviedol Jehojachina do Babylona i matku kráľovu i ženy kráľove i jeho komorníkov, i veľmožov zeme, tých všetkých odviedol do zajatia z Jeruzalema do Babylona
16All the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths one thousand, all of them strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
16i všetkých udatných mužov, sedem tisíc, i tesárov a zámočníkov tisíc. to všetko boli udatní bojovníci, a babylonský kráľ ich doviedol v zajatie do Babylona.
17The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s father’s brother, king is his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
17A babylonský kráľ urobil kráľom Mattaniáša, jeho strýca, miesto neho a premenil jeho meno na Cedekiáša.
18Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
18Cedekiáš mal dvadsaťjeden rokov, keď začal kraľovať, a kraľoval jedenásť rokov v Jeruzaleme. A meno jeho matky bolo Chamutaľ, dcéra Jeremiášova, z Libny.
19He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
19A robil to, čo je zlé v očiach Hospodinových, všetko tak, ako robil Jehojakim,
20For through the anger of Yahweh, it happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
20lebo pre hnev Hospodinov sa to dialo proti Jeruzalemu a proti Júdovi, dokiaľ ich len neodvrhol zpred svojej tvári. A Cedekiáš sa sprotivil babylonskému kráľovi.
