5A kaďte z kvaseného obeť chvály a prevolajte dobrovoľné obeti, rozhláste! Lebo vy to tak radi, synovia Izraelovi, hovorí Pán Hospodin.
6“I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in every town; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh.
6A preto som i ja vám dal čistotu zubov vo všetkých vašich mestách a nedostatok chleba na všetkých vašich miestach, avšak nenavrátili ste sa ku mne, hovorí Hospodin.
7“I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One place was rained on, and the piece where it didn’t rain withered.
7A preto som i ja zadržal od vás dážď, keď bolo ešte tri mesiace do žatvy, a dal som, aby pršalo na jedno mesto, a na druhé mesto som nedal pršať; jedna čiastka poľa bola zvlažená dažďom, a druhá čiastka, na ktorú nepršalo, uschla.

10“I sent plagues among you like I did Egypt. I have slain your young men with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camp, yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh.

11Podvrátil som niektorých medzi vami tak, ako čo Bôh podvrátil Sodomu a Gomoru, a boli ste jako hlaveň, vytrhnutá z ohňa, a nenavrátili ste sa ku mne, hovorí Hospodin.
12“Therefore thus will I do to you, Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, Israel.
12Preto ti tak učiním, Izraelu, a preto, že ti to učiním, priprav sa vústrety svojmu Bohu, Izraelu!
13For, behold, he who forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought; who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the high places of the earth: Yahweh, the God of Armies, is his name.”
13Lebo hľa, ten, ktorý utvoril vrchy a stvoril vietor a ktorý oznamuje človekovi, čo myslí; ktorý činí rannú zoru mrákavou a kráča po výšinách zeme, Hospodin, Bôh Zástupov, je jeho meno!
