1Thus says Yahweh, “Where is the bill of your mother’s divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.
1Takto hovorí Hospodin: Kdeže je rozvodný list vašej matky, ktorým by som ju bol prepustil? Alebo kde kto je z mojich veriteľov, ktorému by som vás bol predal? Hľa, svojimi neprávosťami ste sa predali, a pre vaše prestúpenia prepustená je vaša mater.
2Why, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can’t redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
2Prečo, keď prichádzam, nie je nikoho, keď volám, nikto sa neohlasuje? Či je azda prikrátka moja ruka, takže by nemohla vyslobodiť? Alebo či nie je vo mne sily na to, aby som vytrhol? Hľa, svojím káraním vysušujem more, obraciam rieky na púšť; ich ryby sa zosmradzujú, pretože neni vody, a mrú od smädu.
3I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.”
3Obliekam nebesia v čierno smútku a vrece im dávam za odev.
4The Lord Yahweh has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
4Pán Hospodin mi dal jazyk učených, aby som vedel občerstviť ustalého slovom. Budí každého rána, budí mi ucho, aby som počúval ako učení.
5The Lord Yahweh has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
5Pán Hospodin mi otvára ucho, a ja sa neprotivím, neuhybujem zpät.
6I gave my back to the strikers, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair; I didn’t hide my face from shame and spitting.
6Nadstavujem svoj chrbát tým, ktorí ma bijú, a svoje líca tým, ktorí ma rujú, neskrývam svojej tvári pred všelijakou potupou a pred opľuvaním.
7For the Lord Yahweh will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
7Ale Pán Hospodin mi pomôže, a preto sa nebudem stydieť, preto urobím svoju tvár ako kremeň, a viem že sa nebudem hanbiť.
8He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
8Blízko je ten, ktorý ma ospravedlňuje, kto sa tedy bude pravotiť so mnou? Nože sa postavme spolu! Kto je mojím protivníkom v súde? Nech pristúpi ku mne!
9Behold, the Lord Yahweh will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Behold, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.
9Hľa, Pán Hospodin mi pomôže, ktože je to tedy, kto by ma odsúdil? Hľa, tí všetci zvetšejú ako rúcho, moľ ich požerie.
10Who is among you who fears Yahweh, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of Yahweh, and rely on his God.
10Kto je medzi vami taký, ktorý sa bojí Hospodina a počúva na hlas jeho služobníka? Kto taký, ktorý chodí vo tmách a nemá jasu svetla? Nech sa nadeje na meno Hospodina a nech sa spoľahne na svojho Boha!
11Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with torches around yourselves; walk in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that you have kindled. You shall have this of my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.
11Hľa, vy všetci, ktorí zapaľujete oheň a opasujete sa iskrami, choďte vo svetle svojho ohňa a v iskrách, ktoré ste zanietili! Od mojej ruky sa vám to stane, že budete ležať v bolesti.
