¹Who has believed our message? To whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed?

¹Kto uveril našej zvesti? A komu bolo zjavené rameno Hospodinovo?

²For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

²Lebo vyrástol pred ním ako nežný prútok a jako koreň z vypráhlej zeme; nemal podoby ani krásy; videli sme ho, ale nebolo na ňom vidieť toho, pre čo by sme ho boli bývali žiadostiví.

³He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.

³Opovrhnutý bol a opustený od ľudí, muž bolestí, a oboznámený s nemocou, a jako ten, pred ktorým skrývajú tvár, opovrhnutý, a preto sme si ho nevážili,

⁴Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.

⁴kým on vzal na seba naše nemoci a niesol naše bolesti, a my sme sa domnievali o ňom, že je ranený a zbitý od Boha a strápený.

⁵But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

⁵A on bol smrteľne ranený pre naše prestúpenia, zdrtený pre naše neprávosti; kázeň nášho pokoja bola vzložená na neho, a jeho sinavicou sme uzdravení.

⁶All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

⁶My všetci sme zblúdili jako ovce; každý z nás sme sa obrátili na svoju vlastnú cestu, a Hospodin uvalil na neho neprávosť všetkých nás.

⁷He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is mute, so he didn’t open his mouth.

⁷Mučili ho, a on ponižujúc sa znášal dobrovoľne a neotvoril svojich úst; vedený bol ako baránok na zabitie a zanemel ako ovca, ktorá zanemie pred tými, ktorí ju strihajú, a neotvoril svojich úst.

⁸He was taken away by oppression and judgment; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?

⁸Vzatý bol z väzby a zo súdu. A čo do jeho pokolenia, ktože ho vyrozpráva? Pretože bol vyťatý zo zeme živých, pre prestúpenie môjho ľudu bola mu zadaná rana.

⁹They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

⁹A dali mu s bezbožnými jeho hrob i s bohatým, keď zomrel ukrutnou smrťou, preto, že nespáchal nijakej neprávosti, ani ľsti nebolo nikdy v jeho ústach.

¹⁰Yet it pleased Yahweh to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed. He shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yahweh shall prosper in his hand.

¹⁰Ale Hospodinovi sa ľúbilo ho tak zdrtiť a strápiť nemocou, aby, ak jeho duša položí obeť za hriech, videl svoje semeno, bol dlhoveký, a to, čo sa ľúbi Hospodinovi, zdarilo sa v jeho ruke.
