1Then Yahweh said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
1A Hospodin mi riekol: Ani keby sa postavil Mojžiš alebo Samuel predo mnou, nenaklonila by sa moja duša k tomuto ľudu. Zažeň ich zpred mojej tvári, nech idú ta preč!
2It shall happen, when they tell you, Where shall we go forth? Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.
2A stane sa, keď ti povedia: Kam máme ísť? že im povieš: Takto hovorí Hospodin: Kto na smrť, na smrť; kto pod meč, pod meč; kto do hladu, do hladu, a kto v zajatie, v zajatie.
3I will appoint over them four kinds, says Yahweh: the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
3A ustanovím nad nimi štyri čeľade trestu, hovorí Hospodin, a to meč zabiť, psov rozvláčiť, nebeské vtáctvo a zemskú zver požrať a zkaziť.
4I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
4A vydám ich za postrk všetkým kráľovstvám zeme pre Manassesa, syna Ezechiášovho, judského kráľa, za to, čo popáchal v Jeruzaleme.
5For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? or who will bemoan you? or who will turn aside to ask of your welfare?
5Lebo ktože sa zľutuje nad tebou, Jeruzaleme? Alebo kto ťa poľutuje? Alebo kto zahne k tebe, aby sa opýtal, ako sa máš?
6You have rejected me, says Yahweh, you have gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against you, and destroyed you; I am weary with repenting.
6Ty si zavrhol mňa, hovorí Hospodin, odišiel si zpät. Preto vystriem svoju ruku na teba a zkazím ťa. Ustal som a zunoval ľutovať.
7I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them of children, I have destroyed my people; they didn’t return from their ways.
7Prevejem ich vejačkou cez brány zeme, osirotím a zahubím svoj ľud; nenavrátili sa so svojich ciest.
8Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas; I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
8Viacej mi bude jeho vdôv ako piesku morí. Dovediem im, na matku mládenca, zhubcu na poludnie; spôsobím to, aby náhle dopadly na ňu úzkosť a zdesenie.
9She who has borne seven languishes; she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she has been disappointed and confounded: and their residue will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says Yahweh.
9Zomdleje tá, ktorá porodila sedem, vydýchne svoju dušu, jej slnce zajde, kým ešte bude deň, bude sa hanbiť a rumenieť od studu, a to, čo im pozostane, vydám meču pred ich nepriateľmi, hovorí Hospodin.
10Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet everyone of them curses me.
10Oj, beda mne, moja matko, že si ma porodila, muža pravoty a muža sváru, s ktorým sa každý pravotí a vadí v celej zemi! Nepožičal som na úžeru, ani nepožičali mne, a jednako mi všetci zlorečia.
11Yahweh said, Most certainly I will strengthen you for good; most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
11Hospodin riekol: Istotne ťa posilním na dobré. Istotne spôsobím to, že ťa bude prosiť nepriateľ v čase zla a v čase súženia.
12Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass?
12Či azda poláme železo železo od severa a oceľ?
13Your substance and your treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
13Tvoje imanie a tvoje poklady dám na lúpež, nie za plat, a to pre všetky tvoje hriechy, a síce po všetkých tvojich končinách.
14I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which shall burn on you.
14A spôsobím to, aby prešly s tvojimi nepriateľmi do zeme, ktorej neznáš, pretože sa oheň zanietil v mojom hneve, ktorý bude horieť nad vami.-
15Yahweh, you know; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; don’t take me away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
15Ty vieš, ó Hospodine! - Rozpomeň sa na mňa a navštív ma na tých, ktorí ma prenasledujú! Neber ma, podľa svojho zhovievania, preč so sveta! Vedz, že pre teba nesiem pohanu!
16Your words were found, and I ate them; and your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
16Kde a kedykoľvek sa našly tvoje slová, zjedol som ich, a tvoje slová mi boly obveselením, a radosťou môjho srdca, pretože je tvoje meno vzývané nado mnou, Hospodine, Bože Zástupov!
17I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand; for you have filled me with indignation.
17Nesedávam v shromaždení smejúcich sa veselých ani neplesám; pre tvoju ruku sedávam samotný, lebo si ma naplnil zúrivosťou.
18Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail?
18Prečo je moja bolesť večná a moja rana od úderu smrteľná, ktorá sa nechce zahojiť? Či mi budeš ako klamlivý potok, ako nie verné vody? -
19Therefore thus says Yahweh, If you return, then will I bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take forth the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: they shall return to you, but you shall not return to them.
19Preto takto hovorí Hospodin: Ak sa navrátiš, i ja ťa navrátim, a budeš stáť pred mojou tvárou, a keď oddelíš drahú vec od ničomnej, budeš ako moje ústa. Nech sa oni navrátia k tebe, ale ty sa nenavrátiš k nim.
20I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says Yahweh.
20A dám ťa tomuto ľudu za medený múr ohradný, a budú bojovať proti tebe, ale ťa nepremôžu, lebo ja som s tebou, aby som ťa zachránil a aby som ťa vytrhnul, hovorí Hospodin.
21I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.
21A vytrhnem ťa z ruky zlostníkov a vyslobodím ťa z hrsti násilníkov.
