¹He who is wounded in the stones, or has his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

¹V zbor GOSPODOV naj ne pride nihče, ki ima stolčena moda ali odrezano sramoto.

²A bastard shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

²Nezakonski otrok naj ne pride v zbor GOSPODOV, tudi iz desetega pokolenja ne pridi nihče od njega v GOSPODOV zbor.

³An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of Yahweh forever:

³Noben Amonec, ne Moabec naj ne pride v zbor GOSPODOV, tudi njih deseto pokolenje naj ne pride v zbor GOSPODOV vekomaj,

⁴because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

⁴zato ker vam niso prišli naproti s kruhom in z vodo na poti, ko ste šli iz Egipta, in ker so najeli zoper tebe Balaama, sina Beorjevega iz Petorja v Mezopotamiji, da bi te proklel.

⁵Nevertheless Yahweh your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam; but Yahweh your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because Yahweh your God loved you.

⁵Toda GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, ni hotel uslišati Balaama, in GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, ti je preobrnil tisto prokletstvo v blagoslov, ker te je ljubil GOSPOD, tvoj Bog.

⁶You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

⁶Ne prizadevaj si za mir ž njimi, ne za njih blaginjo vse svoje žive dni, vekomaj.

⁷You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

⁷Ne studi Edomca, ker je tvoj brat; ne mrzi Egipčana, ker si bil tujec v njegovi deželi.

⁸The children of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

⁸Otroci tretjega pokolenja, ki se jim bodo rodili, smejo stopiti v zbor GOSPODOV.

⁹When you go forth in camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

⁹Ko pojdeš v tabor na boj zoper svoje sovražnike, varuj se vsaktere hude reči.

¹⁰If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp:

¹⁰Če je kdo med vami, ki se po noči v sanjah oskruni, naj gre ven iz taborišča in ne pride v tabor;

¹¹but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

¹¹ko pa se zvečeri, naj se izkoplje v vodi in po solnčnem zahodu se sme vrniti v tabor.

¹²You shall have a place also outside of the camp, where you shall go forth abroad:

¹²Imej tudi kraj zunaj taborišča, kamor boš hodil k svoji potrebi;

¹³and you shall have a paddle among your weapons; and it shall be, when you sit down abroad, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn back and cover that which comes from you:

¹³in lopatico imej med svojim orodjem, in kadar zunaj počeneš, koplji ž njo okrog, in obrni se in zagrebi, kar je šlo iz tebe.

¹⁴for Yahweh your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

¹⁴Zakaj GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, hodi po tvojem taborišču, da bi te reševal in sovražnike tvoje ti izročal: zato naj bode tvoje taborišče sveto, da ne vidi nič mrzkega na tebi in se ne odvrne od tebe.

¹⁵You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:

¹⁵Ne daj njegovemu gospodarju nazaj hlapca, ki je k tebi pribežal od njega.

¹⁶he shall dwell with you, in the midst of you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best: you shall not oppress him.

¹⁶Pri tebi naj ostane, sredi tvojega ljudstva, na kraju, ki si ga izvoli v enem tvojih mest, kjer mu je všeč; ne delaj mu sile.

¹⁷There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

¹⁷Nobene nečistosti prodane ženske naj ne bode med Izraelovimi hčerami in nobenega nečistosti posvečenega moškega med Izraelovimi sinovi.

¹⁸You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of Yahweh your God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination to Yahweh your God.

¹⁸Ne prinašaj kurbjega plačila, ne pasjega denarja v hišo GOSPODA, svojega Boga, za kakršnokoli obljubo; zakaj oboje je gnusoba GOSPODU, Bogu tvojemu.

¹⁹You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest:

¹⁹Ne jemlji obresti od brata svojega ne za denar, ne za hrano, ne za karkoli, kar se posoja na obresti.

²⁰to a foreigner you may lend on interest; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

²⁰Tujcu pač moreš posoditi na obresti, a svojemu bratu ne posojaj na obresti, da te bo blagoslovil GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, v vsem, česarkoli se loti tvoja roka, v deželi, v katero greš, da jo posedeš.

²¹When you shall vow a vow to Yahweh your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for Yahweh your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

²¹Ko storiš obljubo GOSPODU, svojemu Bogu, je ne odlašaj izpolniti, zakaj GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, te bo za to terjal, in bode ti v greh.

²²But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.

²²Ako pa ničesar ne obljubiš, ne boš imel greha.

²³That which is gone out of your lips you shall observe and do; according as you have vowed to Yahweh your God, a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth.

²³Ali kar je prišlo iz tvojih ust, ohrani in izpolni, prav kakor si prostovoljno obljubil GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu, kar si govoril s svojimi usti.

²⁴When you come into your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel.

²⁴Ko prideš v vinograd bližnjega svojega, smeš zobati grozdje dositega, kolikor se ti poljubi, ali v posodo svojo ga ne devaj.Ko prideš k zorečemu žitu svojega bližnjega, smeš klasje trgati z roko, ali s srpom ne zamahni v žito svojega bližnjega.

²⁵When you come into your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.

²⁵Ko prideš k zorečemu žitu svojega bližnjega, smeš klasje trgati z roko, ali s srpom ne zamahni v žito svojega bližnjega.
