1Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
1Tedaj je govoril GOSPOD Mojzesu: Idi k Faraonu in mu govóri: Tako pravi GOSPOD, Bog Hebrejcev: Izpusti ljudstvo moje, da mi služijo.
2For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,
2Zakaj če se boš branil jih odpustiti in jih še dalje zadrževal,
3behold, the hand of Yahweh is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.
3glej, roka GOSPODA bode nad tvojo živino, ki je na polju: nad konji, nad osli, nad velblodi, nad govedi in nad drobnico v jako hudi kugi.
4Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”
4In GOSPOD napravi razloček med živino Izraelcev in med živino Egipčanov, in od vsega blaga, kar je sinov Izraelovih, ne pogine nič.
5Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land.”
5In GOSPOD je določil rok, rekoč: Jutri napravi GOSPOD to v deželi.
6Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.
6In storil je GOSPOD to drugi dan: in vsa živina Egipčanov je poginila, a izmed živine sinov Izraelovih še ena glava ne.
7Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.
7Pošlje pa Faraon, in glej, niti ena glava ni poginila sinovom Izraelovim. In zakrknilo se je srce Faraonovo, in ljudstva ni izpustil.
8Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.
8Tedaj reče GOSPOD Mojzesu in Aronu: Vzemita si iz peči polne pesti pepela, in Mojzes naj ga iztrese proti nebu pred očmi Faraonovimi.
9It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”
9In bodi v prah nad vso deželo Egiptovsko, in ljudje in živali dobodo ugnide, ki se izrinejo z osepnicami, po vsej deželi Egiptovski.
10They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal.
10Vzela sta torej pepela in se postavila pred Faraona, in Mojzes ga raztrese proti nebu; in nastalo je ugnidje, ki se je v osepnicah izrinilo po ljudeh in govedi.
11The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Egyptians.
11In pismouki niso mogli stati pred Mojzesom zaradi ugnidja, kajti pismouki so je imeli kakor vsi Egipčani.
12Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.
12GOSPOD pa je otrdil srce Faraonovo in ni ju slušal, kakor je bil govoril GOSPOD Mojzesu.
13Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
13In GOSPOD reče Mojzesu: Vstani zjutraj zgodaj in stopi pred Faraona ter mu reci: Tako pravi GOSPOD, Bog Hebrejcev: Izpusti ljudstvo moje, da mi služi!
14For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
14Kajti to pot pošljem vse šibe svoje nad tvoje srce in nad služabnike tvoje in nad ljudstvo tvoje, zato da spoznaš, da nikogar ni meni enakega na vsej zemlji.
15For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;
15Kajti zdaj sem že iztegnil roko svojo, in ko bi bil s kugo udaril tebe in ljudstvo tvoje, bi bil iztrebljen z zemlje.
16but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;
16Ali zaradi tega sem te ohranil, da ti pokažem svojo moč ter da se razglasi ime moje po vsej zemlji.
17as you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
17Ako se še vzpenjaš zoper moje ljudstvo, ne hoteč ga izpustiti:
18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
18glej, jutri obsore storim, da bo padala debela toča, kakršne še ni bilo v Egiptu od dne, ko je bil postavljen, do sedaj.
19Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. Every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die.”’”
19Zdaj pa pošlji in spravi v zavetje živino svojo in karkoli imaš na polju; zakaj vsak človek in vsaka žival, ki bode na polju in se ne shrani v hiši, pogine, ko se usuje toča.
20Those who feared the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.
20Kdorkoli izmed služabnikov Faraonovih se je bal besede GOSPODOVE, je spravil svoje hlapce in živino svojo na varno v hiše.
21Whoever didn’t respect the word of Yahweh left his servants and his livestock in the field.
21Kdor si pa ni vzel besede GOSPODOVE k srcu, je pustil svoje hlapce in živino na polju.
22Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”
22In GOSPOD reče Mojzesu: Iztegni roko proti nebu, da pride toča nad vso deželo Egiptovsko, nad ljudi in nad živali in nad vso poljsko zelenjavo v deželi Egiptovski.
23Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder, hail, and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.
23In Mojzes je iztegnil palico svojo proti nebu, in GOSPOD je dal grom in točo, in ogenj je švigal na zemljo, in GOSPOD je dežil točo na deželo Egiptovsko.
24So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
24In padala je toča in ogenj je neprestano švigal med točo, jako hudo, kakršne ni bilo v vsej deželi Egiptovski, odkar je last naroda.
25The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
25In potolkla je toča po vsej deželi Egiptovski, karkoli je bilo na polju, od človeka do živine, in vso zelenjavo na polju je potolkla toča in polomila sleherno drevo na polju.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
26Samo v deželi Gosenski, kjer so bili sinovi Izraelovi, ni bilo toče.
27Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
27In pošlje Faraon ter pokliče Mojzesa in Arona in jima reče: Pregrešil sem se ta krat. GOSPOD je pravičen, jaz pa in ljudstvo moje smo krivičniki.
28Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
28Prosite GOSPODA, in dovolj bodi groma Božjega in toče, in izpustim vas, in ne ostanete več tukaj.
29Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s.
29In odgovori mu Mojzes: Ko pridem iz mesta, razprostrem roke svoje proti GOSPODU: grmenje poneha in toče ne bode več, zato da spoznaš, da je zemlja GOSPODOVA.
30But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear Yahweh God.”
30Vem pa, da se ti in služabniki tvoji še ne bojite GOSPODA Boga. –
31The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
31In lan in ječmen sta bila pokončana: kajti ječmen je bil že v klasju in lan je poganjal glavice.
32But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.
32Pšenica pa in pira nista bili pokončani, ker sta pozni. –
33Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
33In ko pride Mojzes od Faraona ven iz mesta, razprostre roke proti GOSPODU, in nehalo je grmeti, tudi dež ni več lil na zemljo.
34When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
34Ko je pa Faraon videl, da je konec dežju, toči in grmenju, je grešil nadalje, in zakrknil je srce svoje on in služabniki njegovi.In otrdilo se je srce Faraonovo, in ni izpustil sinov Izraelovih, kakor je bil govoril GOSPOD po Mojzesu.
35The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go, just as Yahweh had spoken through Moses.
35In otrdilo se je srce Faraonovo, in ni izpustil sinov Izraelovih, kakor je bil govoril GOSPOD po Mojzesu.
