1Yahweh said to Moses,
1In GOSPOD je govoril Mojzesu, rekoč:
2“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am Yahweh your God.
2Govóri sinovom Izraelovim in jim reci: Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.
3You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; neither shall you walk in their statutes.
3Ne delajte, kar delajo v deželi Egiptovski, ki ste v njej prebivali, niti ne počenjajte, kar uganjajo v deželi Kanaanski, v katero vas vodim, in po njih postavah nikar ne živite.
4You shall do my ordinances, and you shall keep my statutes, and walk in them: I am Yahweh your God.
4Moje sodbe izpolnjujte in moje postave spoštujte, da po njih živite. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.
5You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live in them: I am Yahweh.
5Pazite torej na moje postave in moje sodbe, po katerih bo človek, izpolnjujoč jih, živel. Jaz sem GOSPOD.
6“‘None of you shall approach anyone who are his close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am Yahweh.
6Noben človek naj se ne približa komurkoli iz sorodništva svojega, da bi odgrnil sramoto. Jaz sem GOSPOD.
7“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
7Sramote očeta svojega in sramote matere svoje ne odgrni; mati tvoja je, sramote njene ne smeš odkriti.
8“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife: it is your father’s nakedness.
8Sramote žene očeta svojega ne odgrni, sramota je očeta tvojega.
9“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad.
9Sramote sestre svoje, hčere očeta svojega ali hčere matere svoje, bodisi doma ali zunaj rojena, sramote njene ne odgrni.
10“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness.
10Sramote hčerke sina svojega ali hčerke hčere svoje, sramote njene ne odgrni; kajti tvoja sramota je.
11“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.
11Sramota hčere od žene očeta tvojega, rojene od očeta tvojega, – sestra tvoja je, njene sramote ne odgrni.
12“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister: she is your father’s near kinswoman.
12Sramote sestre očeta svojega ne odgrni, sorodnica je očeta tvojega.
13“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister: for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
13Sramote sestre matere svoje ne odgrni, ker sorodnica je matere tvoje.
14“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, you shall not approach his wife: she is your aunt.
14Sramote brata očeta svojega ne odgrni, ženi njegovi se ne približaj, žena je strica tvojega.
15“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
15Sramote snahe svoje ne odgrni: žena je sinu tvojega, njene sramote ne odkrij.
16“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife: it is your brother’s nakedness.
16Sramote žene brata svojega ne odgrni, sramota je brata tvojega.
17“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
17Sramote žene in hčere njene ne odkrij, hčerke sinú njenega in hčerke njene hčere si ne vzemi, da bi odkrival njiju sramoto: sorodnici sta; krvosramstvo je.
18“‘You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive.
18Sestre žene svoje si ne vzemi, da bi v njej zbujal ljubosumnost, odkrivaje nje sramoto zraven te, dokler živi.
19“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
19In ne približaj se ženi, da odgrneš sramoto njeno, dokler je ločena zaradi nesnage svoje.
20“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.
20Z ženo bližnjega svojega ne lezi v združenje, da bi se ž njo oskrunil.
21“‘You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech; neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am Yahweh.
21In iz zaroda svojega ne daj, da bi kdo šel čez ogenj Molohu [Moloh je bil malik Amoncev, ki so mu darovali otroke.], in imena GOSPODA, Boga svojega, ne onečasti. Jaz sem GOSPOD.
22“‘You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable.
22Z moškim se ne druži, kakor se je družiti z ženo: grdoba je.
23“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
23Z nobeno živino se ne pečaj, da bi se ž njo oskrunil; tudi ženska naj ne stopi pred nobeno živino, da bi se pečala ž njo: grda oskrumba je.
24“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.
24Ne oskrunite se z nobeno teh reči, zakaj s temi vsemi so se oskrunjali pogani, ki jih preženem pred vami;
25The land was defiled: therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
25tudi dežela se je oskrunila, zato hočem kaznovati njene krivice na njej, in dežela izbljuje prebivalce svoje.
26You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;
26Vi torej izpolnjujte postave moje in sodbe moje in ne delajte nobene teh grdob, ne domačin, ne tujec, ki biva med vami;
27(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land became defiled);
27(zakaj vse te grdobe je uganjalo ljudstvo te dežele, ki je bilo pred vami, in dežela je bila oskrunjena;)
28that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
28da bi tudi vas dežela ne izbljuvala, ker ste jo oskrunili, kakor je izbljuvala narod, ki je bil pred vami.
29“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
29Zakaj kdorkoli stori katero teh grdobij, vse duše, ki to delajo, bodo iztrebljene izmed svojega ljudstva.Na straži torej bodite, da izpolnjujete povelja moja ter ne počenjate nobene tistih grdih navad, ki so jim stregli pred vami, in da se s tem ne oskrunite. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.
30Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them: I am Yahweh your God.’”
30Na straži torej bodite, da izpolnjujete povelja moja ter ne počenjate nobene tistih grdih navad, ki so jim stregli pred vami, in da se s tem ne oskrunite. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.
