1Praise Yah! Psalm 112 is an acrostic poem, with each verse after the initial “Praise Yah!” starting with a letter of the alphabet (ordered from Alef to Tav). Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.
1Aleluja! Blagor mu, kdor se boji GOSPODA, v zapovedih njegovih se veseli močno!
2His seed will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.
2Mogočno bode na zemlji seme njegovo, pravičnih rod se blagoslavlja.
3Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever.
3Obilost in bogastvo je v hiši njegovi, in pravičnost njegova ostane vekomaj.
4Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous.
4V temi vzhaja luč poštenim; milosten je, usmiljen in pravičen.
5It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.
5Dobro človeku, ki je radodaren in posoja: obdržal bo svoje reči na sodbi.
6For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.
6Kajti vekomaj ne omahne, v večnem spominu bode pravičnik.
7He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.
7Hudega glasu se ne zboji, utrjeno je srce njegovo, upajoč v GOSPODA.
8His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.
8V svojem srcu podprt, se ne boji, dokler ne vidi na zatiralcih svojih, kar mu je všeč.
9He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.
9Razsiplje, daje potrebnim, pravičnost njegova ostane vekomaj, rog njegov se dviguje v časti.Brezbožnik, videč to, se bo jezil, z zobmi svojimi škripal in pešal; brezbožnih želja pogine.
10The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
