1Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus;
1Naizvozvo hama tsvene, vagovani vekudamwa kwekudenga, rangarirai muapositori nomupristi mukuru wokupupura kwedu, iye Jesu Kristu,
2who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.
2wakange akatendeka kuna iye wakamugadza, saMozisiwo muimba yake yose.
3For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who built the house has more honor than the house.
3Nekuti uyu wakanzi wakafanira rukudzo rwunopfuura rwaMozisi, muvaki weimba sezvaanokudzwa kupfuura imba;
4For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
4Nekuti imba imwe neimwe inovakwa neumwe, asi unovaka zvose ndiMwari.
5Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,
5Zvino Mozisi zvirokwazvo wakanga akatendeka muimba yake yose semuranda, kuti ave chapupu chezvinhu izvo zvaifanira kuzotaurwa,
6but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.
6asi Kristu seMwanakomana pamusoro peimba yake; iye isu tiri imba yake kana tikabatisisa kusatya netariro yatinozvirumbidza pamusoro payo kusvika pakuguma.
7Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
7Naizvozvo sezvinotaura Mweya Mutsvene, achiti: Nhasi kana muchinzwa inzwi rake,
8don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
8musawomesa moyo yenyu sepakutsamwisa, nezuva rekuidzwa murenje.
9where your fathers tested me by proving me, and saw my works for forty years.
9Apo madzibaba enyu akandiidza, vachindinzvera, vakaona mabasa angu makore makumi mana.
10Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways;’
10Naizvozvo ndakatsamwiswa nezera iro, ndikati: Vanogara vachitsauka pamoyo wavo; uye havana kuziva nzira dzangu;
11as I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’” Psalm 95:7-11
11Naizvozvo ndakapika pakutsamwa kwangu, ndikati: Havangapindi pazororo rangu.
12Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
12Chenjererai hama, kuti kusava neumwe wenyu ane nemoyo wakashata wekusatenda, pakutsauka kubva kuna Mwari mupenyu,
13but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
13asi kurudziranai zuva nezuva, kana kuchanzi: Nhasi; kuti kurege kuva neumwe wenyu unowomeswa kubudikidza nekunyengera kwechivi.
14For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end:
14Nekuti tava vagovani vaKristu, kana tichibatisisa kuvamba kwechivimbo chedu kusvikira pakuguma;
15while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” Psalm 95:7-8
15kana zvichanzi: Nhasi kana muchinzwa inzwi rake, musawomesa moyo yenyu, sepakutsamwisa.
16For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, didn’t all those who came out of Egypt by Moses?
16Nekuti vamwe vakati vanzwa, vakamutsamwisa, asi havazi ivo vose vakabva Egipita naMozisi.
17With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
17Asi wakatsamwiswa nani makore makumi mana? Havazi ivo vakatadza vane mitumbu yakawira murenje here?
18To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
18Uye ndivanaani vaakapikira kuti havangapindi pazororo rake, kunze kwaivo vasina kutenda?
19We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
19Zvino tinovona kuti vakanga vasingagoni kupinda nekuda kwekusatenda.
