18

1After this it happened, that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
1 A go mo, woodin banda Dawda na Filistancey kar ka zeeri k'i kaynandi. A na Gat kwaara nda nga kawyey ta Filistancey kambe ra.
2He struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.
2 A na Mowab mo zeeri. Mowabancey ciya Dawda bannyayaŋ, ka kande _a se|_ jangal.
3David struck Hadadezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
3 Dawda na Zoba bonkoono Hadad-Ezer mo zeeri ka to hala Hamat gaa. A mayra to mo hala Ufratis isa me gaa.
4David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.
4 Dawda na wongu torko zambar fo ta a gaa, da bari-kari zambar iyye, da ce-koy zambar waranka. Dawda na torko bariyey kulu tanje kaajey beeri ka pati, amma a fay da wo kaŋ yaŋ ga wasa torko zangu se.
5When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Syrians twenty-two thousand men.
5 Waato kaŋ Damaskos Suriyancey kaa ka kande Zoba bonkoono Hadad-Ezer se gaakasinay, Dawda na boro zambar waranka cindi hinka wi Suriyancey do haray.
6Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
6 Gaa no Dawda na wongu batandikoyaŋ daŋ Damaskos kwaara, Suriya laabo ra. Suriyancey mo ciya Dawda tamyaŋ, ka kande _a se|_ jangal. Rabbi na Dawda gaa nangu kulu kaŋ a ga koy.
7David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
7 Wura korayey mo kaŋ yaŋ Hadad-Ezer tamey ga jare doŋ, Dawda n'i ku ka kand'ey Urusalima.
8From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much brass, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
8 Hadad-Ezer kwaarey Tibnat da Kun ra mo, Dawda na guuru-say boobo sambu. Suleymanu goy d'a ka guuru-say bango, da muuley da guuru-say goy jinayey te d'a.
9When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,
9 Waato kaŋ Hamat bonkoono Toy maa baaru kaŋ Dawda na Zoba bonkoono Hadad-Ezer wongu marga kulu kar,
10he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou;) and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
10 kal a na nga ize Hadoram donton Bonkoono Dawda do. A kaa k'a baani hã, k'a saabu mo, zama a wongu nda Hadad-Ezer k'a kar mo. Zama Hadad-Ezer doona ka kande wongu Toy gaa. Hadoram mo kande wura nda nzarfu nda guuru-say jinay kulu dumi.
11King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
11 Bonkoono Dawda na woodin yaŋ mo fay waani Rabbi se, ka margu nda nzarfu nda wura kaŋ a ku ka fun d'ey Edom, da Mowab, da Amon izey, da Filistancey, da Amalek laabey kulu ra.
12Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.
12 Zeruwiya ize Abisay mo na Edomance zambar way cindi ahakku kar Ciiri Gooro ra.
13He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
13 A na wongu batandikoyaŋ daŋ Edom laabo ra mo hala Edomancey kulu ciya Dawda se tamyaŋ. Rabbi na Dawda gaa mo nangu kulu kaŋ a ga koy.
14David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.
14 Yaadin no Dawda na Israyla kulu may d'a. A go ga cimi ciiti nda adilitaray te nga jama kulu se.
15Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
15 Zeruwiya izo Yowab ga ti wongu marga jine bora. Yehosafat Ahilud izo ga ti laabo baaru hantumkwa.
16and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
16 Ahitub izo Zadok da Abiyatar izo Abimelek mo ga ti alfagey. Sabsa ga ti bonkoono se hantumkwa.
17and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
17 Yehoyda izo Benaya go bonkoono doogarey boŋ, kaŋ ga ti Keretey da Peletey. Dawda izey mo ga ti koy kayna yaŋ ka bonkoono gaakasinay.
