1 Kings

10

1When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Yahweh, she came to prove him with hard questions.
1 Waato kaŋ Seba wayboro bonkoono maa Suleymanu maa beera kaŋ a te Rabbi maa sabbay se, kal a kaa zama nga m'a si da hãayaŋ kaŋ ga sandi.
2She came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.
2 A kaa Urusalima nda jama beeri bambata, da yoyaŋ kaŋ go ga yaazi jinayyaŋ jare, da wura boobo, da taalam tondiyaŋ kaŋ nooru ga baa. Waato kaŋ a kaa Suleymanu do kal a na hay kulu kaŋ go nga bina ra kaa taray a se.
3Solomon told her all her questions: there was not anything hidden from the king which he didn’t tell her.
4When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
4 Waato kaŋ Seba wayboro bonkoono di Suleymanu laakalo kulu, da windo kaŋ a cina,
5and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, and his cup bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Yahweh; there was no more spirit in her.
5 d'a taablo ŋwaaro, d'a tamey gora dumi, d'a windi goy-izey kayyaŋo dumi, d'i bankaarayey, da ngey kaŋ yaŋ g'a no haŋyaŋ hari, da mate kaŋ i ga sargay salle Rabbi windo ra, kala waybora gaa yay.
6She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.
6 A ne bonkoono se: «Cimi baaruyaŋ no ay maa ay laabo ra ni muraadey ciine ra, da ni laakalo wane.
7However I didn’t believe the words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it. Behold, the half was not told me! Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame which I heard.
A go mo, wiiza, i mana baa jara ci ay se.
8Happy are your men, happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you, who hear your wisdom.
8 Bine-kaani-koyyaŋ no ni borey, bine-kaani-koyyaŋ mo no ni tamey, kaŋ yaŋ goono ga kay ni jine han kulu, ka maa ni laakalo.
9Blessed is Yahweh your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because Yahweh loved Israel forever, therefore made he you king, to do justice and righteousness.”
9 I ma Rabbi ni Irikoyo sifa mo, nga kaŋ maa ni kaani hal a na ni daŋ Israyla karga boŋ, zama Rabbi ga ba Israyla hal abada.
10She gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones. There came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
10 Kala wayboro bonkoono na bonkoono no wura danga ton gu nda jare cine, da yaazi jinay boobo mo, hala nda taalam tondi caadanteyaŋ. Boro kulu mana ye ka kande yaazi jinay sanda wo kaŋ Seba wayboro bonkoono kande ka bonkoono Suleymanu no baayaŋ cine.
11The navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees and precious stones.
11 Hiram hiyey mo, kaŋ yaŋ ga kande wura ka fun Ofir, i kande almug* dubi boobo, da taalam tondi caadante boobo ka fun Ofir.
12The king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of Yahweh, and for the king’s house, harps also and stringed instruments for the singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen, to this day.
Boro kulu mana ye ka kande almug dubiyaŋ, boro kulu mana ye ka di i cine yaŋ mo hala hunkuna.
13King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.
13 Bonkoono Suleymanu na Seba wayboro bonkoono no hay kulu kaŋ a ga ba kaŋ a ŋwaaray mo, kaŋ waana haŋ kaŋ Suleymanu n'a no nga koytara yulwa ra.
14Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
14 Wura kaŋ ga kaa Suleymanu do jiiri fo ra, a neesiyaŋ ga ti ton waranza cine, wura wane koonu,
15besides that which the traders brought, and the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of the mixed people, and of the governors of the country.
15 kaŋ baa si haŋ kaŋ i ga du dillaŋey jangalo do haray, da fatawc'izey, da kunda dumi-dumey, da laabu-laabukoy kayney do haray.
16King Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of gold went to one buckler.
Koray fo kulu tiŋay ga to wura kilo iddu cine.
17he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
18Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.
19There were six steps to the throne, and the top of the throne was round behind; and there were stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.
19 Kaarimi hari iddu go no hal i ga to karga do. Karga boŋo mo koomakoy no banda, nangora do mo gonda kambe yaŋ kuray hinka kulu. Muusu beeri hinka mo go ga kay, afo go kambu kulu haray.
20Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps: there was nothing like it made in any kingdom.
20 Muusu beeri way cindi hinka mo goono ga kay, kambu woone da ya-haray kambo mo gaa, kaarimi hari iddo boŋ. I mana karga din cine te mayray kulu ra.
21All king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
21 Suleymanu haŋyaŋ gaasiyey mo, i kulu wurayaŋ no. Liban tuuri zugay faada taasey mo, i kulu wura hanno wane yaŋ no, nzarfu wane baa afo si i ra. Nzarfu manti hay fo kaŋ i ga saal no Suleymanu jirbey ra.
22For the king had at sea a navy of Tarshish with the navy of Hiram: once every three years came the navy of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
22 Zama bonkoono gonda Tarsis hi boobo teeko boŋ, ngey da Hiram hiyey mo care banda. Jiiri hinza kulu ra Tarsis hiyey ga kaa sorro folloŋ, i ga kande wura da nzarfu da cebeeri hinjeyaŋ da foonoyaŋ, da makka curoyaŋ.
23So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
23 Bonkoono Suleymanu binde bisa ndunnya koyey kulu arzaka da laakal.
24All the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24 Ndunnya kulu mo soobay ka Suleymanu ceeci zama ngey ma maa laakalo kaŋ Irikoy daŋ a bina ra.
25They brought every man his tribute, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and clothing, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
25 I afo kulu mo ga kande nga nooyaŋo: nzarfu taasayaŋ, da wura taasayaŋ, da bankaaray, da wongu kwaayyaŋ, da yaazi jinay yaŋ, da bariyaŋ, da alambaanayaŋ, yaadin cine no jiiri kulu.
26Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
26 Suleymanu mo na torkoyaŋ da bari-kariyaŋ margu. A gonda torko zambar fo da zangu taaci. A gonda bari-kari zambar way cindi hinka mo kaŋ yaŋ a fay-fay ka jisi torkey kwaarey ra, da bonkoono do mo Urusalima.
27The king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
27 Bonkoono na nzarfu ciya sanda tondiyaŋ Urusalima ra. A na sedre* bundu mo ciya sanda durmi kaŋ go gooru batama ra cine, baayaŋ se.
28The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt; and the king’s merchants received them in droves, each drove at a price.
28 Bariyey kaŋ yaŋ go Suleymanu se, Misira no i ga fun d'ey kuru-kuru. Bonkoono dillaŋey no ga kand'ey, kuru fo kulu nda nga hayo.
29A chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty; and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, they brought them out by their means.
29 Torko fo ga fun Misira nzarfu kilo iyye cine boŋ, bari fo mo kilo hinka cine boŋ. I kaa dillaŋey din kambe ra.
