1 Kings

16

1The word of Yahweh came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
1 Kala Rabbi sanno kaa Yehu, Hanani izo do Baasa boŋ ka ne:
2“Because I exalted you out of the dust, and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;
3behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
4The dogs will eat Baasha’s descendants who die in the city; and he who dies of his in the field the birds of the sky will eat.”
4 Baasa dumo kaŋ ga bu kwaara ra, hansiyaŋ g'a ŋwa, a wane kaŋ bu saajo ra mo, beene curey g'a ŋwa.»
5Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
5 Baasa goy cindey da haŋ kaŋ a te, d'a hino, manti i n'i hantum Israyla bonkooney baaru tira ra bo?
6Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his place.
6 Baasa mo kani nga kaayey banda. I n'a fiji Tirza kwaara ra. A ize Ela te bonkooni a nango ra.
7Moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of Yahweh against Baasha, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck him.
7 Hala hõ koyne Rabbi sanno ye ka kaa Yehu, Hanani ize me ra Baasa boŋ d'a dumo boŋ mo, laala kulu boŋ kaŋ a te Rabbi jine, kaŋ a n'a bine zuku hal a dukur.
8In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.
8 Yahuda bonkoono Asa mayra jiiri waranka cindi iddanta ra no Bassa izo Ela sintin ka may Israyla boŋ Tirza ra. A may mo jiiri hinka.
9His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah:
9 Kala a tam fo Zimri, a torkey jara jine boro na zamba soola te a se, murteyaŋ wane. Ela mo go Tirza, a goono ga haŋ ka bugu Arza windo ra (kaŋ ga ti Tirza din bonkooni windo.)
10and Zimri went in and struck him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.
10 Zimri mo furo k'a kar ka wi, Yahuda bonkoono Asa mayra jiiri waranka cindi iyyanta ra no. Zimri may a nango ra.
11It happened, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he struck all the house of Baasha: he didn’t leave him a single one who urinates on a wall, neither of his relatives, nor of his friends.
11 A ciya mo, waato kaŋ a furo koytaray, a karga boŋ goranta ra, kal a na Baasa dumo kulu kar. A mana ize alboro naŋ a se, baa afolloŋ, wala baa a dumey do haray wane, wala a corey do haray wane.
12Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,
12 Yaadin cine no Zimri na Baasa dumo kulu halaci nd'a, Rabbi sanno kaŋ a ci Baasa boŋ annabi Yehu me ra.
13for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and with which they made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.
14Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
14 Ela goy cindey binde da hay kulu kaŋ a te, manti i n'i hantum Israyla bonkooney baaru tira ra bo?
15In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.
15 Yahuda bonkoono Asa mayra jiiri waranka cindi iyyanta ra, Zimri te jirbi iyye a goono ga may Tirza ra. Jama mo go margante wongu se Jibbeton windante kaŋ go Filistancey mayray ra.
16The people who were encamped heard say, Zimri has conspired, and has also struck the king: therefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.
16 Jama kaŋ go wongu marga do maa kaŋ i goono ga ne Zimri na zamba soola, hal a na bonkoono wi. Israyla kulu binde na wongu marga wonkoyo Omri sambu. I n'a didiji bonkooni Israyla boŋ han din hane wongu marga ra.
17Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
I na Tirza windi nda wongu.
18It happened, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died,
18 A ciya mo, waato kaŋ Zimri di i na kwaara ŋwa, a furo bonkoono windo faada ra ka danji daŋ bonkoono windo gaa nga boŋ ka bu
19for his sins which he sinned in doing that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.
20Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he committed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
20 Zimri goy cindey binde, nda murteyaŋ kaŋ a te, manti i n'i hantum Israyla bonkooney baaru tira ra bo?
21Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.
21 Saaya din no Israyla jama fay ihinka. Boro jarey na Tibni Jinat izo gana zama i n'a didiji bonkooni, boro jarey mo na Omri gana.
22But the people who followed Omri prevailed against the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.
22 Amma borey kaŋ yaŋ na Omri gana hin ngey kaŋ yaŋ na Tibni Jinat izo gana. Tibni binde bu, Omri te bonkooni.
23In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel for twelve years. He reigned six years in Tirzah.
23 Asa mayra jiiri waranza cindi fo Yahuda, gaa no Omri sintin ka Israyla may. A te jiiri way cindi hinka a goono ga may. I ra a goono ga may Tirza ra jiiri iddu.
24He bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill, Samaria.
24 A na Samariya tondo mo day Semer gaa k'a bana nzarfu danga kilo wayga cine. A na kwaara mo cina tondo boŋ. A na kwaara kaŋ a cina maa daŋ Samariya, Semer maa boŋ, kaŋ ga ti noodin tondo koyo doŋ.
25Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and dealt wickedly above all who were before him.
25 Omri mo na goy laalo te Rabbi jine ka hari laalo yaŋ te ka bisa boro kulu kaŋ n'a jin.
26For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins with which he made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.
26 Zama a na Yerobowam Nebat ize fondey kulu gana, d'a zunubey kulu, naŋ kaŋ a na Israyla daŋ i ma zunubi te, i ma Rabbi Israyla Irikoyo bina zuku a ma dukur i goy yaamey se.
27Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
27 Omri goy cindey kaŋ a te binde, da hino kaŋ a cabe, manti i n'i hantum Israyla bonkooney baaru tira ra bo?
28So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his place.
28 Omri mo kani nga kaayey banda. I n'a fiji Samariya ra. A izo Ahab te bonkooni a nango ra.
29In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.
29 Yahuda bonkoono Asa mayra jiiri waranza cindi ahakkanta ra no Ahab, Omri izo sintin ka Israyla may. Omri ize Ahab mo na Israyla may Samariya ra jiiri waranka cindi hinka.
30Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh above all that were before him.
30 Omri izo Ahab na goy laalo te Rabbi jine ka bisa boro kulu kaŋ n'a jin.
31It happened, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him.
31 A ciya binde, danga day hay fo doogono no a ma dira Nebat izo Yerobowam zunubey ra, hala mo a na Zidonancey bonkooni Et-Baal ize wayo Yezabel hiiji. A koy mo ka may Baal* se ka sududu a se.
32He reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.
32 A na sargay feema cina mo Baal se, Baal windo ra kaŋ a cina Samariya ra.
33Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
A na Rabbi Israyla Irikoyo bine zukuyaŋ goy tonton, hal a jaase Israyla bonkooney kulu kaŋ yaŋ n'a jin.
34In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho: he laid its foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.
34 A zamana ra mo Hiyel, Betel bora na Yeriko kwaara cina. A ize hay jine Abiram mursay ra no a n'a daba sinji. A n'a meyey mo daŋ da nga ize koda Segub mursay, Rabbi sanno kaŋ a ci Yasuwa Nun ize me ra din boŋ.
