1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
1 Ay, Bitros, ay ya Yesu Almasihu diya no. Ay go ga tiro wo hantum suubanantey kaŋ go say-sayanteyaŋ se, kaŋ yaŋ ciya yawyaŋ Bontos, da Galatiya, da Kabadosiya, da Aziya, da Bitiniya laabey ra.
2according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
2 Baaba Irikoy n'araŋ suuban nga waado boŋ, Biya _Hanno|_ fay waaniyaŋo Irikoy se do. A n'araŋ suuban hal araŋ ma Yesu Almasihu gana ka hanan mo a kuro say-sayyaŋo do. Gomni nda laakal kanay ma tonton araŋ gaa.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
3 Iri ma saabu iri Rabbi Yesu Almasihu Irikoyo se, a Baabo mo no. A suuji beero ra no a n'iri hay hayyaŋ taji a do hal iri ma du beeje* fundikooni Yesu Almasihu tun ka fun buukoy game ra yaŋo do.
4to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,
4 Iri ma du mo tubuyaŋ kaŋ si halaci, kaŋ si ziibi, kaŋ si daray mo. Irikoy n'a jisi beena ra araŋ se,
5who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
5 araŋ kaŋ Irikoy dabaro goono ga hallasi araŋ cimbeero* do faaba se kaŋ a soola zama nga m'a bangandi alwaati bananta ra.
6Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been put to grief in various trials,
6 Araŋ go ga farhã gumo woodin sabbay se, baa d'a ga tilas sohõ araŋ biney ma sara alwaati kayna taabi waani-waani ra.
7that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—
7 Wura ga halaci, baa kaŋ i g'a soogu nda danji hal a ma hanan. Araŋ taabi waani-waaney mo g'araŋ cimbeero, kaŋ ga bisa wura darza, gosi hal a ma tabbat, hal araŋ cimbeero gosiyaŋo bananta mo ma ciya sifayaŋ da darza nda beeray hari Yesu Almasihu bangandiyaŋo waate.
8whom not having known you love; in whom, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory—
8 Araŋ ga ba Yesu, baa kaŋ araŋ mana di a. Araŋ goono g'a cimandi mo, baa kaŋ araŋ siino ga di a sohõ. Araŋ goono ga farhã gumo nda farhã kaŋ ga bisa ciyaŋ, kaŋ to da darza mo.
9receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
9 Zama araŋ goono ga du araŋ cimbeero timmandiyaŋo kaŋ ga ti araŋ fundey faaba.
10Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you,
10 Annabey* kaŋ na annabitaray te gomno boŋ kaŋ Irikoy soola ka jisi araŋ se, i na ceeciyaŋ te da anniya ka fintal mo faaba din ciine ra.
11searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ, which was in them, pointed to, when he predicted the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that would follow them.
11 I goono ga ceeci ngey ma faham alwaati kaŋ no da mate kaŋ cine no a ga kaa d'a, kaŋ Almasihu Biya kaŋ go i ra goono ga cabe, kaŋ a jin ka Almasihu gurzugayey da darza kaŋ ga kaa gurzugayey din banda seeda.
12To them it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you, they ministered these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
12 Irikoy bangandi annabey din se kaŋ manti ngey bumbey se no i n'a te bo, amma araŋ se no i na hayey din seeda. Sohõ Baaru Hanna waazukoy n'araŋ kabarandi nd'ey, Biya Hanno do kaŋ Irikoy donton a ma fun beena ra. Hayey din binde, malaykey* ga ba ngey ma faham d'ey gumo.
13Therefore prepare your minds for action, literally, “gird up the waist of your mind” or “put on the belt of the waist of your mind” be sober and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—
13 Woodin sabbay se, sanda mate kaŋ boro ga nga bankaaray guddu goy se, w'araŋ laakaley soola yaadin cine. Wa hin araŋ boŋ, w'araŋ beeja kulu daŋ gomno boŋ kaŋ Irikoy ga kande araŋ se Yesu Almasihu bangandiyaŋo waate.
14as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,
14 Danga izeyaŋ kaŋ ga baaba gana, wa s'araŋ boŋ sasabandi d'araŋ doŋ ibaay laaley kaŋ araŋ gana, alwaato kaŋ araŋ go jaŋ-ka-bayyaŋ ra.
15but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;
15 Amma mate kaŋ cine nga kaŋ n'araŋ ce ya Hananyankoy no, yaadin cine no araŋ bumbey mo ma bara ihannoyaŋ araŋ gora kulu ra.
16because it is written, “You shall be holy; for I am holy.” Leviticus 11:44-45
16 Zama i n'a hantum ka ne: «Araŋ ma ciya ihannoyaŋ, Zama ay ya Hananyankoy no.»
17If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear:
17 Araŋ goono ga Irikoy ce «Baaba», nga kaŋ ga ciiti manti nda baar'a-baar'a, amma boro kulu goyo boŋ. Woodin se, w'araŋ yawtaray gora te da Irikoy humburkumay.
18knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,
18 Zama araŋ ga bay kaŋ Irikoy mana araŋ fansa araŋ goray yaama gaa kaŋ araŋ tubu araŋ kaayey do da hayey kaŋ ga halaci, danga nzarfu wala wura.
19but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Christ;
19 Amma Irikoy n'araŋ fansa nda Almasihu kuro kaŋ gonda darza, sanda feej'ize kaŋ sinda dollo wala leebu wane kuri.
20who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of times for your sake,
20 Irikoy na Almasihu suuban za a mana ndunnya sinji, amma a n'a bangandi araŋ sabbay se alwaati banantey ra.
21who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.
21 A do no araŋ goono ga Irikoy cimandi, nga kaŋ n'a tunandi ka kaa buukoy game ra k'a no beeray mo, zama araŋ cimbeero d'araŋ beeja ma bara Irikoy ra.
22Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:
22 Za kaŋ araŋ n'araŋ fundey hanandi araŋ cimi ganayaŋo ra, hal araŋ gonda baakasinay kaŋ sinda munaficitaray nya-izey se, araŋ ma ba care gumo d'araŋ bine kulu.
23having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.
23 Zama i n'araŋ hay hayyaŋ taji, manti nda dumar'ize kaŋ ga sara, amma da wo kaŋ si sara, Irikoy Sanno do nooya, kaŋ goono ga funa ka goro hal abada.
24For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;
24 Zama i ne: «Adam-ize kulu go danga subu cine, a darza kulu mo danga subu boosi cine no. Subu ga koogu, booso mo ga kaŋ,
25but the Lord’s word endures forever.” Isaiah 40:6-8 This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
25 Amma Rabbi Sanno ga duumi hal abada.» Woodin mo no ga ti Baaru Hanna sanno kaŋ i waazu araŋ se.
