2 Chronicles

16

1In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of Yahweh and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben Hadad king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,
2 Waato din gaa Asa na wura nda nzarfu sambu Rabbi windo jisiri jinayey ra, da bonkoono windi waney ra mo, a n'i samba Suriya bonkoono Ben-Hadad do, kaŋ go Damaskos da goray, ka ne a se:
3“Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”
3 «Sappe ma furo in da nin game ra, sanda mate kaŋ cine a goro ay baaba da ni baaba game ra. A go, ay na wura nda nzarfu samba ni se.
4Ben Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.
4 Ben-Hadad binde maa Bonkoono Asa sanno. A binde na nga wongu marga jine boroyaŋ donton i ma koy ka wongu nda Israyla galley.
5It happened, when Baasha heard of it, that he left off building Ramah, and let his work cease.
5 I go no yaadin, waato kaŋ Baasa maa baaro din, a fay da Rama wongu cinaro cinayaŋo ka nga goyo naŋ.
6Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
6 Kala Bonkoono Asa konda Yahuda borey kulu. I na Rama tondey d'a kataakey kaŋ yaŋ Baasa na cinaro te d'a ku.
7At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on Yahweh your God, therefore is the army of the king of Syria escaped out of your hand.
8Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? Yet, because you relied on Yahweh, he delivered them into your hand.
8 Etiyopi borey da Libi borey, manti kunda marga boobo no gumo, da torkoyaŋ da bari-kari boobo nda cimi? Kulu nda yaadin, zama ni de Rabbi gaa, a se no a n'i daŋ ni kambe ra.
9For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly; for from henceforth you shall have wars.”
9 Zama Rabbi moy goono ga koy-da-ye te ndunnya kulu ra, zama nga ma nga boŋ cabe gaabikooni ngey kulu se kaŋ yaŋ i biney ya timmanteyaŋ no a do.
10Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.
Koyne, Asa na boro fooyaŋ mo kankam alwaati woodin ra.
11Behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
11 A go mo, Asa goyey, za sintinay wano ka koy a kokor banda wano, i n'i hantum Yahuda da Israyla bonkooney tira ra.
12In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet; his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he didn’t seek Yahweh, but to the physicians.
12 A mayra jiiri waranza cindi yagganta ra no, Asa te ce doori. A dooro mo laala. Kulu nda yaadin a dooro ra a mana Rabbi ceeci, amma a na safarkoyaŋ ceeci.
13Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
13 Asa kani nga kaayey banda. A bu nga mayra jiiri waytaaci cindi fa ra.
14They buried him in his own tombs, which he had dug out for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumers’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
14 I n'a fiji nga bumbo saara kaŋ a jabu nga boŋ se din ra Dawda birno ra. I n'a jisi dima boŋ kaŋ i toonandi nda mani haw kaano da yaazi jinay dumi-dumi kaŋ yaŋ i soola waddi teekoy kambe ra.
