2 Kings

23

1The king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
1 Bonkoono donton i ma Yahuda da Urusalima arkusey kulu margu.
2The king went up to the house of Yahweh, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of Yahweh.
2 Bonkoono koy mo Rabbi windo do, nga nda Yahuda boro fo kulu, da Urusalima gorokoy, da alfagey, da annabey, da jama kulu, ibeeri gaa, ikayna gaa. A na sappa tira kaŋ i gar Rabbi windo ra din sanney kulu caw i hangey ra.
3The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before Yahweh, to walk after Yahweh, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.
3 Bonkoono mo kay bonjara do ka alkawli sambu Rabbi jine, ka ne nga ga Rabbi gana, nga m'a lordey d'a seedey, d'a hin sanney haggoy, da nga bina kulu da nga fundo kulu mo, zama nga ma sappa sanney kaŋ go hantumante tira ra din toonandi. Jama kulu mo na alkawlo tabbatandi.
4The king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring forth out of Yahweh’s temple all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the army of the sky, and he burned them outside of Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.
A n'i ton Urusalima banda Kidron gooro ra. A n'i booso sambu ka kond'a hala Betel.
5He put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places around Jerusalem; those also who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the army of the sky.
5 A na tooru alfagey mo kaa, ngey kaŋ yaŋ Yahuda bonkooney daŋ zama i ma dugu ton sududuyaŋ nangey ra Yahuda kwaarey ra, da Urusalima windanta ra nda woodin yaŋ mo kaŋ yaŋ na dugu ton Baal da handu nda beene handariyayzey, da beena ra kunda kulu se.
6He brought out the Asherah from the house of Yahweh, outside of Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and beat it to dust, and cast its dust on the graves of the common people.
6 Koyne, a na wayboro himandi bundu tooro kaa taray a ma fun Rabbi windo ra. A kond'a Urusalima kwaara banda ka koy Kidron gooro ra. A n'a ton Kidron gooro ra; a n'a taamu-taamu, ka ciya hamni. A na hamno mun talkey saarayey boŋ.
7He broke down the houses of the sodomites, that were in the house of Yahweh, where the women wove hangings for the Asherah.
7 A na arkuurey fuwey mo kaŋ yaŋ go Rabbi windo ra bagu-bagu, da naŋ kaŋ wayborey ga bundu tooro din kosandey kay.
8He brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba; and he broke down the high places of the gates that were at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man’s left hand at the gate of the city.
8 A na alfagey kulu kaa taray Yahuda kwaarey ra, ka tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey ciya harram, naŋ kaŋ alfagey ga dugu ton din, za Geba kal a ma koy Beyer-Seba. A na meyo sombuyaŋey do bagu-bagu, ngey kaŋ go Yasuwa windi meyo gaa, bora kaŋ ga kwaara dabari, i go kwaara meyo kambe wow gaa haray.
9Nevertheless the priests of the high places didn’t come up to the altar of Yahweh in Jerusalem, but they ate unleavened bread among their brothers.
9 Amma tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey alfagey, i mana kaaru ka koy Rabbi sargay feema do Urusalima ra, amma i ga buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu ŋwa ngey nya-ka-fo-siney banda.
10He defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.
10 A na Tofet* kaŋ go Hinnom izey gooro ra ciya harram, zama boro kulu ma si ye ka nga ize aru wala nga ize way daŋ danji ra Molek se koyne.
11He took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entrance of the house of Yahweh, by the room of Nathan Melech the officer, who was in the court; and he burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
11 A na bariyey kaŋ Yahuda bonkooney no wayna se ganandi ka kaa Rabbi windo me gaa, mo-ka-biro kaŋ se i ga ne Natan-Melek fuwo jarga, kaŋ go ga lamba Irikoy windo gaa. A na wayna bari torkey ton.
12The king broke down the altars that were on the roof of the upper room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of Yahweh, and beat them down from there, and cast their dust into the brook Kidron.
12 Sargay feemey kaŋ yaŋ go Ahaz gar'izo boŋ mo, wo kaŋ Yahuda bonkooney te, da sargay feemey kaŋ yaŋ Manasse te Rabbi windo batama hinka ra, bonkoono n'i kulu bagu-bagu k'i tutubu i nangey ra, k'i hamno mun Kidron gooro ra.
13The the king defiled the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mountain of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon.
13 Bonkoono na tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey kaŋ yaŋ go Urusalima jine mo ciya harram, wo kaŋ yaŋ go halaciyaŋ tondo kambe ŋwaari gaa haray, ngey kaŋ yaŋ Suleymanu Israyla bonkoono cina Astoret sabbay se, kaŋ ga ti Zidonancey fanta haro, da Kemos, Mowabancey fanta haro, da Milkom, Amon izey fanta haro.
14He broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and filled their places with the bones of men.
14 Bonkoono na cinaro mo bagu-bagu, ka wayboro himandi bundu toorey beeri-beeri, k'i nangey toonandi nda boro biriyaŋ.
15Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, even that altar and the high place he broke down; and he burned the high place and beat it to dust, and burned the Asherah.
15 Woodin banda, sargay feema kaŋ go Betel, da sududuyaŋ nangey kaŋ Yerobowam Nebat izo te, nga kaŋ na Israyla daŋ i ma zunubi te. Sargay feema din da sududuyaŋ nangey, bonkoono n'i bagu-bagu, ka sududuyaŋ nangey ton, k'i tutubu, hala i ciya hamni. A na wayboro himandi bundu tooro mo ton.
16As Josiah turned himself, he spied the tombs that were there in the mountain; and he sent, and took the bones out of the tombs, and burned them on the altar, and defiled it, according to the word of Yahweh which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these things.
16 Yosiya zagu mo. Kal a di saarayey kaŋ go tondo ra. A donton i ma biriyey kaŋ yaŋ go saarayey ra ku k'i kaa. I na i ton sargay feema boŋ. I n'a ciya harram hari, Rabbi sanno boŋ, kaŋ Irikoy bora fe, nga kaŋ ga ti hayey din feko.
17Then he said, “What monument is that which I see?” The men of the city told him, “It is the tomb of the man of God, who came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that you have done against the altar of Bethel.”
17 Kala bonkoono ne: «Cinari woofo no ay goono ga di wo?» Kwaara ra borey ne a se: «Irikoy bora saara nooya, nga kaŋ kaa ka fun Yahuda. A na hayey wo kaŋ ni goono ga te Betel sargay feema se din annabitaray te.»
18He said, “Let him be! Let no man move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.
18 Kala bonkoono ne: «A naŋ yaadin. Boro kulu ma si a biriyey nyooti.» I fay d'a biriyey da annabo kaŋ kaa ka fun Samariya ra biriyey care banda.
19All the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke Yahweh to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.
19 Sududuyaŋ fuwey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go Samariya kwaarey ra, wo kaŋ yaŋ Israyla bonkoono te zama i ma Rabbi zokoti se, i kulu Yosiya n'i kaa. A te i se sanda mate kaŋ cine a te Betel ra.
20He killed all the priests of the high places that were there, on the altars, and burned men’s bones on them; and he returned to Jerusalem.
20 A na tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey alfagey kulu wi, ngey kaŋ yaŋ go noodin sargay feemey do. A na boro biriyaŋ ton feemey boŋ. Gaa no a ye ka kaa Urusalima.
21The king commanded all the people, saying, “Keep the Passover to Yahweh your God, as it is written in this book of the covenant.”
21 Bonkoono na jama kulu lordi mo ka ne: «Wa Paska* bato haggoy Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo se, sanda mate kaŋ cine i hantum sappa tira wo ra.»
22Surely there was not kept such a Passover from the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
22 Haciika mo i mana doona ka Paska bato din dumi haggoy za fondo kaakoy zamana ra kaŋ na fondo kaa Israyla se, sanda Israyla bonkooney jirbey kulu ra, wala Yahuda bonkooney wane.
23but in the eighteenth year of king Josiah was this Passover kept to Yahweh in Jerusalem.
23 Amma bonkoono Yosiya mayra jiiri way cindi ahakkanta ra no i na Paska bato din haggoy Rabbi se Urusalima ra.
24Moreover Josiah removed those who had familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the teraphim, and the idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might confirm the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of Yahweh.
24 Woodin banda borey kaŋ yaŋ gonda follayyaŋ da ziimayaŋ da fu-kaliyaŋ da tooruyaŋ, da kazaamataray-kazaamataray kulu kaŋ go Yahuda laabo ra, da Urusalima ra, Yosiya n'i ton, zama a ma asariya sanney kaŋ yaŋ i hantum tira ra kaŋ Alfa Hilciya gar Rabbi windo ra tabbatandi.
25Like him was there no king before him, who turned to Yahweh with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.
25 I mana bonkooni te a jine sanda Yosiya cine, kaŋ bare Rabbi do haray da nga bine kulu, da nga fundi kulu, da nga gaabi kulu, Musa asariya kulu boŋ. A banda mo boro fo kulu mana te a cine.
26Notwithstanding, Yahweh didn’t turn from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocation with which Manasseh had provoked him.
26 Kulu nda yaadin, Rabbi mana bare ka nga bine korna naŋ, naŋ kaŋ a futa koroŋ Yahuda boŋ, zokotiyaŋ kulu kaŋ Manasse n'a zokoti nd'a sabbay se.
27Yahweh said, “I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and I will cast off this city which I have chosen, even Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, ‘My name shall be there.’”
28Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
28 Yosiya goy cindey mo, da haŋ kaŋ a te kulu, manti i n'i hantum Yahuda bonkooney baaru tira ra bo?
29In his days Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and Pharaoh Necoh killed him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.
29 A zamana ra kala Misira bonkoono Firawna-Neko kande wongu Assiriya bonkoono gaa Ufratis isa meyo gaa. Bonkoono Yosiya mo fatta ka kond'a gaa wongu. Firawna n'a wi mo Mejiddo waato kaŋ a n'a kubay.
30His servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. The people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father’s place.
30 Kal a tamey n'a sambu buuko torka ra Mejiddo ka kand'a Urusalima. I n'a fiji nga bumbo saara ra. Laabo borey na Yehowahaz Yosiya izo sambu ka ji dooru a boŋ k'a didiji bonkooni a baabo nango ra.
31Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
31 Yehowahaz gonda jiiri waranka cindi hinza waato kaŋ a sintin ka may. A may handu hinza Urusalima ra. A nyaŋo maa Hamutal, Irimiya ize wayo, Libna boro no.
32He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that his fathers had done.
32 A na goy laaloyaŋ te Rabbi jine, haŋ kaŋ a kaayey te kulu boŋ.
33Pharaoh Necoh put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of one hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.
33 Firawna-Neko mo n'a haw Ribla Hamat laabo ra, zama a ma si may Urusalima ra. A na laabo mo jukke nzarfu ton taaci nda jare cine, da wura kilo waytaaci cindi gu cine.
34Pharaoh Necoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of Josiah his father, and changed his name to Jehoiakim: but he took Jehoahaz away; and he came to Egypt, and died there.
34 Firawna-Neko mo na Bonkoono Yosiya izo Eliyacim didiji bonkooni a baabo Yosiya nango ra. A n'a maa barmay ka daŋ Yehoyacim, amma a na Yehowahaz sambu ka kond'a. Yehowahaz kaa Misira ka bu noodin.
35Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of everyone according to his taxation, to give it to Pharaoh Necoh.
35 Amma Yehoyacim na nzarfu nda wura no Firawna se, amma a na jangal dake laabo borey boŋ, zama i ma nooro no Firawna lordo boŋ. A na nzarfu nda wura kom laabo borey gaa, boro kulu a jangalo me, zama i m'a no Firawna-Neko se.
36Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Zebidah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
36 Yehoyacim gonda jiiri waranka cindi gu alwaato kaŋ a sintin ka may. A may jiiri way cindi fo Urusalima ra. A nyaŋo maa Zebida, Pedaya ize wayo, Ruma boro no.
37He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that his fathers had done.
37 A na goy laalo te Rabbi diyaŋ gaa, kaŋ ga saba nda haŋ kaŋ a kaayey te kulu.
