1As they spoke to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came to them,
1 I goono ga salaŋ jama se yaadin cine, kal alfagey da Irikoy windo batukoy jine funa, da Sadusi* fonda boroyaŋ kaa ka kaŋ i boŋ.
2being upset because they taught the people and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
2 Kankami go i biney ra, zama Bitrosyaŋ goono ga borey dondonandi ka buuyaŋ tunyaŋo waazu Yesu maa ra.
3They laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was now evening.
3 I na diyey di ka daŋ kasu kala suba, zama wiciri kambo ban ka to.
4But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
4 Amma boro boobo kaŋ yaŋ maa sanno din n'a cimandi, alborey baayaŋo mo kaa ka to sanda boro zambar gu cine.
5It happened in the morning, that their rulers, elders, and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem.
6Annas the high priest was there, with Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and as many as were relatives of the high priest.
6 Hanana kaŋ ga ti alfaga* beero go noodin, nga nda Kayafa, da Yohanna, da Iskandari, da alfaga beero dumey kulu.
7When they had stood them in the middle of them, they inquired, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?”
7 Waato kaŋ i na diyey kayandi borey bindo ra, i n'i hã ka ne: «Dabari woofo dumi wala maa woofo no araŋ na woone wo te d'a?»
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
8 Bitros to da Biya Hanno. Gaa no a ne i se: «Araŋ wo jama koyey da arkusey,

10be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole.

12There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
12 A cine fo mo si no kaŋ do faaba go, zama maa fo si no koyne beeno wo cire kaŋ Irikoy no borey se kaŋ do tilas iri ma du faaba.»
13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.
13 Waato kaŋ i di Bitros da Yohanna bine-gaabey, i di mo kaŋ boroyaŋ no kaŋ mana caw, talkayaŋ mo no, jama go ga dambara. I bay mo kaŋ Bitrosyaŋ go Yesu banda za doŋ.

14 I go ga di mo bora kaŋ du baani go ga kay i banda, i sinda mo hay kulu kaŋ i ga ci.
15But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
15 Amma waato kaŋ i n'i lordi ka ne i ma fatta Yahudancey arkusey marga ra, jama binde saaware ngey nda care game ra.
16saying, “What shall we do to these men? Because indeed a notable miracle has been done through them, as can be plainly seen by all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we can’t deny it.
16 I ne: «Mate no iri ga te borey wo se? Zama haciika alaama bambata fo te i do kaŋ bangay taray kwaaray Urusalima boro kulu se. Iri si hin k'a ze mo.
17But so that this spreads no further among the people, let’s threaten them, that from now on they don’t speak to anyone in this name.”
17 Amma zama baaro wo ma si say-say ka tonton jama game ra, wa naŋ iri ma kaseeti i gaa ka ne i ma si ye ka salaŋ boro kulu se koyne maa wo ra.»
18They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
18 Gaa no i na diyey ce k'i lordi ka ne i ma si salaŋ, wala i ma si dondonandi kulu-kulu Yesu maa ra.
19But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves,
20for we can’t help telling the things which we saw and heard.”
20 Zama a si du ka te iri ma jaŋ ka dede haŋ kaŋ iri di da haŋ kaŋ iri maa.»
21When they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people; for everyone glorified God for that which was done.
21 Waato kaŋ i kaseeti diyey gaa ka tonton, i n'i taŋ, zama i mana du fondo ka du k'i gooji jama sabbay se.

23Being let go, they came to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.
23 Kaŋ i n'i taŋ, i ye ka koy ngey jama do.
24When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, “O Lord, you are God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;
24 Waato kaŋ jama maa, i na ngey jindey tunandi Irikoy gaa da bine folloŋ ka ne: «Ya Koy Beero, nin no na beene nda ganda, da teeku, da hay kulu kaŋ go i ra mo te.

29Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,
29 Sohõ mo, ya Rabbi, guna i kaseetiyaŋo.

31When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
31 Waato kaŋ i te adduwa, nango kaŋ i bara din zinji. I kulu to mo da Biya Hanna, i na Irikoy sanno ci mo da bine-gaabi.
32The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
