Deuteronomy

4

1Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances, which I teach you, to do them; that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, gives you.
1 Sohõ binde, ya Israyla, wa hangan ka maa hin sanney da ciiti sanney kaŋ ay go g'araŋ dondonandi. Araŋ m'i te mo hal araŋ ma funa, araŋ ma du ka furo mo ka du laabo kaŋ Rabbi araŋ kaayey Irikoyo g'araŋ no.
2You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you.
3Your eyes have seen what Yahweh did because of Baal Peor; for all the men who followed Baal Peor, Yahweh your God has destroyed them from the midst of you.
3 Araŋ moy di haŋ kaŋ Rabbi te Baal-Peyor sabbay se, zama alborey kulu kaŋ yaŋ na Baal-Peyor teera gana, Rabbi ni Irikoyo n'i halaci k'i kaa ni game ra.
4But you who were faithful to Yahweh your God are all alive this day.
4 Amma araŋ kaŋ na Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo di da gaabi, araŋ kulu go ga funa hala ka kaa hunkuna.
5Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as Yahweh my God commanded me, that you should do so in the midst of the land where you go in to possess it.
5 Guna, ay n'araŋ dondonandi hin sanney da farilley mate kaŋ cine Rabbi ay Irikoyo n'ay lordi nd'a, hal araŋ ma te yaadin laabo kaŋ araŋ ga furo ka du a mayray din ra.
6Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who shall hear all these statutes, and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”
6 W'i haggoy fa, k'i goyey te mo, zama woodin ga ciya araŋ se laakal da fahamay dumi cindey jine. Ngey wo, i ga maa hin sanney din kulu baaru ka ne: «Haciika, dumo wo kaŋ ga beeri, a borey gonda laakal da fahamay.»
7For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as Yahweh our God is whenever we call on him?
7 Zama dumi beeri woofo no ka bara i cine kaŋ gonda Irikoy kaŋ ga maan i gaa mate kaŋ cine Rabbi iri Irikoyo go no saaya kulu kaŋ iri g'a ce?
8What great nation is there, that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
8 Wala dumi beeri woofo no ka bara kaŋ gonda hin sanni da farilla yaŋ kaŋ gonda adilitaray sanda asariya wo kulu cine, kaŋ ay go ga daŋ araŋ jine hunkuna?
9Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children;
10the day that you stood before Yahweh your God in Horeb, when Yahweh said to me, “Assemble me the people, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”
I ma ngey izey mo dondonandi nd'ey.»
11You came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.
11 Han din mo araŋ kaa ka kay tondo cire, tondo go ga di nda danji ka to hala beene kuuro gaa mo. Kubay mo go no, da buru yuumay da kubay bi tik!
12Yahweh spoke to you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.
12 Kala Rabbi salaŋ araŋ se, jinda fun danjo bindo ra. Araŋ maa a sanney jinda, amma araŋ mana di alhaali kulu, kala day araŋ maa jinde fo.
13He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments; and he wrote them on two tables of stone.
13 A na nga sappa mo fe araŋ hangey ra, wo kaŋ a n'araŋ lordi ka ne araŋ ma te, sanda lordi waya din nooya. A n'i hantum mo tondi walhã hinka gaa.
14Yahweh commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and ordinances, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.
14 Koyne, woodin banda, Rabbi ye k'ay lordi ka ne ay ma hin sanni da ciiti sanni yaŋ dondonandi araŋ se, zama araŋ ma i goy te laabo kaŋ araŋ ga daŋandi ka koy ka du a mayra din ra.
15Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no kind of form on the day that Yahweh spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire.
15 Woodin sabbay se no araŋ ma haggoy d'araŋ boŋ gumo, zama araŋ mana di alhaali dumi kulu han din hane kaŋ Rabbi salaŋ araŋ se Horeb tondo ra, jinda fun danjo bindo ra.
16Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself an engraved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,
17 wala alman fo kaŋ go ndunnya ra himandi, wala curo fatakoy fo kaŋ ga deesi beene himandi,
18the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth;
18 wala wo kaŋ ga noru ganda laabo ra himandi, wala hari ham fo kaŋ go haro ra laabo cire himandi.
19and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which Yahweh your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.
Zama Rabbi ni Irikoyo na beena ra marga waadu dumey kaŋ yaŋ go beena cire kulu se.
20But Yahweh has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as at this day.
20 Amma Rabbi n'araŋ suuban, a n'araŋ kaa taray araŋ ma fun guuru-bi dudal ra, kaŋ ga ti Misira laabo. A n'araŋ suuban araŋ ma ciya nga bumbo jama d'a wane mayray hari, mate kaŋ a go d'a hunkuna.
21Furthermore Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance:
21 Woodin baa si mo, Rabbi dukur ay se araŋ sabbay se. A ze ka ne ay si du ka Urdun daŋandi. Ay si furo laabu hanna din ra, nga kaŋ Rabbi ni Irikoyo ga ni no ni m'a tubu.
22but I must die in this land, I must not go over the Jordan; but you shall go over, and possess that good land.
22 Amma a ga tilas ay ma bu ne laabo wo ra, ay ma si Urdun daŋandi. Amma araŋ wo, araŋ g'a daŋandi ka du laabu hanna din, araŋ mayray hari no.
23Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he made with you, and make you an engraved image in the form of anything which Yahweh your God has forbidden you.
23 Wa haggoy d'araŋ boŋ fa, hal araŋ ma si dinya Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo sappa kaŋ a te nga nda araŋ game ra. Araŋ ma si koy ka himandi jabante fo te araŋ boŋ se kaŋ gonda hay kulu alhaali kaŋ Rabbi ni Irikoyo n'araŋ ganji.
24For Yahweh your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.
25When you shall father children, and children’s children, and you shall have been long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make an engraved image in the form of anything, and shall do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh your God, to provoke him to anger;
25 Da ni hay izeyaŋ, hala ni du haamayaŋ, hala mo araŋ gay gumo laabo ra, da waato din araŋ ga koy k'araŋ boŋ sara, ka himandi jabante te kaŋ gonda hay kulu alhaali, ka hay kulu te mo kaŋ ga laala Rabbi ni Irikoyo jine, k'a dukurandi mo,
26I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over the Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
Araŋ si te aloomar kuuku a ra, amma i g'araŋ halaci, parkatak!
27Yahweh will scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in number among the nations, where Yahweh shall lead you away.
27 Rabbi g'araŋ say-say mo ndunnya dumey game ra. Araŋ ga cindi boro ciraariyaŋ dumi cindey game ra, naŋ kaŋ Rabbi g'araŋ candi ka konda araŋ.
28There you shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
I si di, i si hangan ka maa, i si ŋwa, i si mani ka maa mo.
29But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
29 Amma hala day noodin araŋ ga Rabbi ni Irikoyo ceeci, ni ga ye ka du a koyne, waati kaŋ ni n'a ceeci da ni bina kulu da ni anniya kulu mo.
30When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to Yahweh your God, and listen to his voice:
30 Waati kaŋ ni go taabi ra, kaŋ hayey din kulu kaa ni gaa, kokor banda ni ga ye ka kaa Rabbi ni Irikoyo do ka maa a sanno se.
31for Yahweh your God is a merciful God; he will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.
31 Zama Rabbi ni Irikoyo ya suujikoy no. A si ni furu, a si ni halaci, a si dinya mo alkawlo kaŋ a sambu ka ze ni kaayey se.
32For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as this great thing is, or has been heard like it?
Wa guna za hano kaŋ hane Irikoy na boro taka ndunnya ra, za beena me fa gaa ka koy hal a me fa gaa. Wa hã hala hari bambata wo dumi jin ka te ce fo, wala baa i maa a cine baaru?
33Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?
33 A jin ka te ce fo no, kaŋ dumi fo ga maa Irikoy jinde kaŋ salaŋ a se ka fun danji ra, mate kaŋ cine ni wo ni maa r'a, ni go ga funa hala hõ mo?
34Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
A m'i kaa i game ra da siyaŋ, da alaamayaŋ, da dabari goyyaŋ, da wongu, da kambe gaabikooni, da kambe sallante, da humburkumay hari bambata yaŋ no? Hayey din kulu mo Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo n'i te araŋ se Misira laabo ra, araŋ jine.
35It was shown to you so that you might know that Yahweh is God. There is no one else besides him.
35 Ni se mo no i na woodin kulu cabe zama ni ma bay kaŋ Rabbi ya Irikoy no. Afo si no mo kala nga.
36Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and on earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.
Ni maa a jinda mo kaŋ fun danjo bindo ra.
37Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;
37 Zama a ga ba ni kaayey mo, woodin se no a n'i banda-ka-zumbey suuban.
38to drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as at this day.
38 A na dumiyaŋ gaaray ni jine mo, borey kaŋ yaŋ baa da nin, i bisa ni gaabo mo. A furo nda nin mo, k'i laabo no ni se, a ma ciya ni mayray hari, mate kaŋ a go d'a hunkuna.
39Know therefore this day, and lay it to your heart, that Yahweh he is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is none else.
Afo kulu si no.
40You shall keep his statutes, and his commandments, which I command you this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land, which Yahweh your God gives you, forever.
41Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;
41 Waato din gaa no Musa na kwaara hinza suuban k'i fay waani, i go Urdun daŋanta wayna funay haray.
42that the manslayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unawares, and didn’t hate him in time past; and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:
42 I ga te boro-wi kaŋ na nga gorokasin wi se, amma manti ibaay boŋ no, sanda a mana konn'a za doŋ. Bora din koy ma zuru ka koy kwaarey din afo ra, a ma funa mo.
43Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, for the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, for the Manassites.
43 Kwaarey maayey neeya: Bezer kaŋ go saajo ra, batama laabo ra, Ruben kunda laabo ra, da Ramot kaŋ go Jileyad, Gad kunda laabo ra, da Golan mo kaŋ go Basan ra, Manasse kunda laabo ra.
44This is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
44 Woone wo mo, nga no ga ti asariya kaŋ Musa daŋ Israyla izey jine.
45these are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Moses spoke to the children of Israel, when they came forth out of Egypt,
45 Ngey mo ga ti seedey da hin sanney da farilley kaŋ Musa salaŋ Israyla izey se waato kaŋ i fun Misira.
46beyond the Jordan, in the valley over against Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck, when they came forth out of Egypt.
46 I go noodin Urdun daŋanta, gooro din ra kaŋ go Bayt-Peyor tanjay, Amorancey bonkoono Sihon laabo ra, nga kaŋ goro Hesbon kwaara doŋ. Nga no Musa nda Israyla izey ŋwa waato kaŋ i kaa ka fun Misira.
47They took his land in possession, and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;
47 Israyla n'a laabo di mo a ma ciya ngey mayray hari, nga nda Basan bonkoono Og laabo. Amorancey bonkooni hinka nooya, kaŋ waato i go Urdun daŋanta wayna funay haray.
48from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even to Mount Sion (the same is Hermon),
48 Laabo ga di za Arower kwaara kaŋ go Arnon gooro me gaa, ka koy to Sihon tondo gaa (danga Hermon nooya.)
49and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even to the sea of the Arabah, under the slopes of Pisgah.
49 A go mo Gooru Beero ra Urdun daŋanta wayna funay haray ka koy hala Gooru Beero Teeko do, Pisga tondi beero gangara cire.
