1You shall observe to do all the commandment which I command you this day, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers.
1 Lordey kulu kaŋ ay ga ni lordi nd'a hunkuna, ni ma haggoy k'i afo kulu te, zama ni ma funa, ni ma tonton, ni ma furo mo ka du laabo kaŋ Rabbi ze d'a ni kaayey se.
2You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.
A na woodin te zama a ma ni boŋbeera kaynandi, a ma ni si, a ma bay mo haŋ kaŋ go ni bina ra, hala ni g'a lordey gana, wala manti yaadin no.
3He humbled you, and allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh.
3 A na ni kaynandi mo. A naŋ ni ma maa haray, gaa no a na ni no Manna* kaŋ ni si bay doŋ, baa ni kaayey man'a bay. A ga ba nga ma ni fahamandi kaŋ manti ŋwaari hinne no boro ga funa nd'a bo, amma sanni kulu kaŋ ga fun Rabbi meyo ra no boro ga funa nd'a.
4Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.
4 Jiiri waytaaco wo ra ni bankaaray mana zeen ni gaa, ni ce mana fuusu mo.
5You shall consider in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so Yahweh your God chastens you.
6You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
6 Nin mo, kala ni ma Rabbi ni Irikoyo lordey gana, k'a fondey mo gana ka humbur'a.
7For Yahweh your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;
7 Zama Rabbi ni Irikoyo ga kande nin hala laabu hanna ra. Laabo din gonda hari zuruyaŋ, da hari mo yaŋ, da mansaare yaŋ, kaŋ yaŋ ga bambari ka zuru gooruyaŋ ra da tudey boŋ.
8a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey;
8 Laabo din gonda alkama nda sayir* da reyzin nyayaŋ, da jeejay* nyayaŋ, da garenad* nyayaŋ. Laabu no kaŋ gonda zeytun* nyayaŋ da yu.
9a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.
10You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you.
10 Ni ga ŋwa ka kungu mo ka Rabbi ni Irikoyo saabu laabu hanna din kaŋ a na ni no sabbay se.
11Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you this day:
11 Ma haggoy fa, hala ni ma si dinya Rabbi ni Irikoyo, ni ma si fay d'a lordey d'a farilley d'a hin sanney ganayaŋ, wo kaŋ yaŋ ay go ga ni lordi nd'a hunkuna.
12lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and lived therein;
12 Zama a ma si te ka ciya, waati kaŋ ni ŋwa ka kungu, ni na windi hanno yaŋ cina ka goro i ra,
13and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
14then your heart be lifted up, and you forget Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;
15who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint;
15 Nga mo no ka furo ni jine saaji bambata kaŋ ga humburandi ra. Noodin gondi laaloyaŋ go no, da daŋyaŋ, da laabu kogo kaŋ sinda hari.
16who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end:
16 A na ni ŋwaayandi mo nda Manna noodin saaji fimbo ra, hay fo kaŋ ni kaayey mana bay. A ga ba nga ma ni kaynandi ka ni si, ka te ni se ihanno ni kokor banda jirbey ra.
17and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.”
17 A ma si te ka ciya mo ni ma ne ni bina ra: «Ay dabaro d'ay kambe gaabo no ka du ay se arzaka wo.»
18But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day.
18 Amma ni ma fongu Rabbi ni Irikoyo gaa, zama nga no ga ni no dabari ni ma du arzaka wo. A g'a te zama a ma nga alkawlo kaŋ a ze d'a ni kaayey se tabbatandi, mate kaŋ a go d'a hunkuna.
19It shall be, if you shall forget Yahweh your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.
19 A ga ciya mo, da day ni ga dinya Rabbi ni Irikoyo, ka koy de-koy fooyaŋ banda, ka may i se, ka sududu i se mo, ay go ga seeda te araŋ se hunkuna kaŋ araŋ ga halaci pat!
20As the nations that Yahweh makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you wouldn’t listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.
20 Danga mate kaŋ Rabbi ga dumi fooyaŋ halaci araŋ jine, yaadin cine no araŋ mo ga halaci, zama araŋ wangu ka hanga jeeri Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo sanno se.
