Exodus

12

1Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
1 Rabbi salaŋ Musa nda Haruna se Misira laabo ra ka ne:
2“This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.
2 «Handu woone ga ciya handu sintinay araŋ se. A ga ciya handu sintinay jiiro ra araŋ se.
3Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;
3 Wa salaŋ Israyla jama marga kulu se ka ne: ‹Hando wo, a zaari wayanta hane, araŋ ra boro fo kulu ma sambu feej'ize nga baabo windo hina me, windi fo, feej'ize fo.
4and if the household is too little for a lamb, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls; according to what everyone can eat you shall make your count for the lamb.
4 Da mo feej'izo bisa windo gaabi, kala nga nda nga gorokasino kaŋ ga maan a windo ma sambu afo, fundikooney kaŋ yaŋ go windo ra baayaŋ hina me. Borey kulu ŋwaayaŋ hina me no araŋ ga feej'izo deedandi.
5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats:
5 Araŋ feej'izo ma ciya mo wo kaŋ sinda laru, jiiri fo feeji gaaru ize. Feejey ra wala hinciney ra no araŋ g'a sambu.
6and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at evening.
6 Araŋ m'a jisi mo hala hando wo zaari way cindi taacanta ra. Israyla jama kulu m'i jindey kaa wiciri kambo ra.
7They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.
7 I ma kaa kuro gaa ka tuusu fu me carawey gaa, da meyey beeney gaa, fuwey kaŋ ra i ga feejo ŋwa.
8They shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.
8 Cino din ra no i g'a hamo ŋwa. I m'a ton ka ŋwa, nga nda buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu*, da kobto yaŋ kaŋ ga fottu no i ga ŋwa a banda.
9Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts.
9 I ma s'a ŋwa igani wala hinante, amma i m'a ton, a boŋo d'a cey da gunde ra jinayey mo.
10You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.
10 Araŋ ma si ta a ra hay fo kulu ma cindi ka di susubay, amma haŋ kaŋ to susuba, araŋ m'a ton ka ban.
11This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Passover.
11 Mate kaŋ araŋ g'a ŋwa mo neeya: da guddamayaŋ araŋ cantey gaa, da taamuyaŋ araŋ cey gaa, da goobuyaŋ araŋ kambey ra. Waasi-waasi no mo araŋ g'a ŋwa d'a; nga no ga ti Rabbi Paska* _kaŋ a feerijo ga ti bisayaŋ|_.›
12For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal. Against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am Yahweh.
12 Zama cino din ra no ay ga gana Misira laabo kulu ra, ay ma hay-jiney kulu kar Misira laabo ra, boro nda alman. Misira borey kulu boŋ no ay g'ay ciitey donton. Ay no ga ti Rabbi.
13The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be on you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
13 Kuro mo ga ciya seeda araŋ se fuwey gaa nangu kaŋ araŋ go. D'ay di kuro, ay g'araŋ daaru ka bisa. Balaaw fo si no kaŋ ga kaŋ araŋ boŋ halaciyaŋ se, saaya kaŋ ay ga Misira laabo kar.
14This day shall be to you for a memorial, and you shall keep it a feast to Yahweh: throughout your generations you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
14 Zaari woodin binde ga ciya fonguyaŋ hari araŋ se. Araŋ g'a gaay sududuyaŋ hane Rabbi se kal araŋ zamaney kulu me. Araŋ g'a gaay sududuyaŋ hane farilla boŋ hal abada.
15“‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
15 Jirbi iyye no araŋ ga buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu ŋwa. Za zaari sintina no araŋ ga dalbu ganandi araŋ windey ra. Zama boro kaŋ na buuru dalbukoy ŋwa za zaari sintina ka koy hala zaari iyyanta, ay ga fundikoono din kaa Israyla ra.
16In the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no kind of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you.
16 Zaari sintina ra araŋ ga marga hanno te, zaari iyyanta ra mo marga hanno ma te. I si goy kulu dumi te, baa kayna, kala day haŋ kaŋ boro kulu ga ŋwa, woodin hinne no ga halal araŋ se.
17You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.
17 Araŋ ga sududuyaŋ hano wo haggoy, buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu wane, zama zaaro din ra no ay n'araŋ kundey fattandi Misira laabo ra. Woodin se no araŋ ga zaaro din gaay farilla kaŋ ga duumi boŋ hal araŋ zamaney kulu me.
18In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty first day of the month at evening.
18 Handu sintina ra jirbi way cindi taacanta hando ra, a wiciri kambo no araŋ ga buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu ŋwa, kala hando ra zaari waranka cindi fa wiciri kambo.
19There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.
19 Jirbi iyye i ma si dalbu gar araŋ windey ra. Zama boro kulu kaŋ ga hay fo kaŋ gonda dalbu ŋwa, ay ga bora din kaa Israyla ra, da yaw no wala boro kaŋ i hay laabo ra no.
20You shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations you shall eat unleavened bread.’”
20 Araŋ ma si hay kulu ŋwa kaŋ margu nda dalbu araŋ goray nangey kulu ra. Kal araŋ ma ŋwa buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu.»
21Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, “Draw out, and take lambs according to your families, and kill the Passover.
21 Waato din gaa Musa na Israyla arkusey kulu ce ka ne i se: «Wa koy ka feej'izeyaŋ sambu araŋ almayaaley hina me, ka wi Paska* se.
22You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
22 Araŋ ma hissop* kambe folloŋ ceeci, araŋ m'a sufu kuro ra kaŋ go gaasu ra ka tuusu fu me beena da meyo kambey gaa da kuro kaŋ go gaaso ra. Araŋ boro fo kulu ma si fatta mo nga fu meyo gaa kala nda mo bo.
23For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two doorposts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.
23 Zama Rabbi ga gana ka bisa ka Misirancey izey kar, amma d'a di kuro fu me beena gaa, da kambu hinka gaa mo, Rabbi ga me woodin daaru. A si ta mo halacikwa ma furo araŋ fuwey ra k'araŋ kar.
24You shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.
24 Araŋ ma woodin gaay farilla araŋ izey se hal abada.
25It shall happen when you have come to the land which Yahweh will give you, according as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.
25 A ga ciya mo, d'araŋ to laabo kaŋ Rabbi g'araŋ no din ra, alkawlo kaŋ a sambu boŋ, kal araŋ ma haggoy da saajawo din.
26It will happen, when your children ask you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’
26 A ga ciya mo, saaya kaŋ izey ga ne araŋ se: ‹Ifo no ga ti araŋ misa wo sabaabu?›
27that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.
27 kal araŋ ma ne: ‹Sargay no, Rabbi Paska wane, kaŋ a bisa Israyla izey fuwey gaa Misira ra se, waato kaŋ a na Misirancey kar. A n'iri windey faaba mo.› » Borey binde na ngey boŋ sumbal ka sombu.
28The children of Israel went and did so; as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
28 Israyla izey koy ka woodin te. Danga mate kaŋ Rabbi na Musa nda Haruna lordi* nd'a, yaadin mo no i te.
29It happened at midnight, that Yahweh struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of livestock.
29 A ciya mo, hala cin bindi, kala Rabbi na Misira laabo ra hay-jiney kulu kar, za Firawna kaŋ go nga karga boŋ ga goro hay-jina, ka koy borey kaŋ yaŋ go kaso ra hawante hay-jiney, da alman hay-jiney kulu.
30Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
30 Firawna mo tun cino ra, nga nda nga bannyey da Misirancey kulu. I na hẽeni korno te Misira ra zama windi si no kaŋ ra buuko si no.
31He called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve Yahweh, as you have said!
31 A na Musa nda Haruna ce cino ra ka ne: «Wa tun ka fatta ay borey ra, araŋ da Israyla izey kulu. Wa koy ka may Rabbi se danga mate kaŋ araŋ ci din.
32Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also!”
32 Wa sambu araŋ haw kurey da feeji kurey, danga mate kaŋ araŋ ci mo. Araŋ ma koy, araŋ ma albarka gaara ay se mo.»
33The Egyptians were urgent with the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for they said, “We are all dead men.”
33 Misirancey mo kankamandi borey gaa, i ma cahã k'i fattandi laabo ra, zama i ne: «Iri kulu buukoyaŋ no!»
34The people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.
34 Borey binde na ngey buuru mottey sambu za i mana fuuru. I diibiyaŋ harey mo go i se ga kunkuni ngey bankaarayey ra ga koto ngey jasey gaa.
35The children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing.
35 Israyla izey mo te Musa sanno boŋ. I na taalam jinayyaŋ ŋwaaray, nzarfu nda wura wane, da bankaaray mo Misirancey gaa.
36Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. They despoiled the Egyptians.
36 Rabbi mo na borey no gaakuri Misirancey do, hal i na harey kaŋ yaŋ i ŋwaaray no i se. I na Misirancey arzakey ku ka dira.
37The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, besides children.
37 Israyla izey na diraw sintin za Ramses ka koy Sukkot. Boro danga zambar zangu iddu no, alborey kaŋ zankey baa si, i go ga koy ce gaa.
38A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.
38 Jama boobo fooyaŋ mo koy i banda, da haw kurey da feeji kurey, alman boobo no nda cimi.
39They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought out of Egypt; for it wasn’t leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, and couldn’t wait, neither had they prepared for themselves any food.
39 I na maasayaŋ kaŋ sinda dalbu ton da ngey buuru mottey kaŋ i fun d'a Misira, zama i sinda dalbu. Zama i n'i tuti no i ma fatta Misira ra. I sinda daama no kaŋ ga kay, i mana hindoonay te mo ngey boŋ se.
40Now the time that the children of Israel lived in Egypt was four hundred thirty years.
40 Yawtaray gora kaŋ Israyla izey te Misira ra ga ti jiiri zangu taaci nda waranza.
41It happened at the end of four hundred thirty years, even the same day it happened, that all the armies of Yahweh went out from the land of Egypt.
41 A ciya mo, jiiri zangu taaci nda waranza din bananta, zaaro din ra no Rabbi kundey kulu fatta Misira laabo ra.
42It is a night to be much observed to Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahweh, to be much observed of all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
42 Cin nooya kaŋ i ga haggoy d'a gumo Rabbi se, fattandiyaŋ woodin kaŋ a te i se Misira laabo ra sabbay se. Woodin ga ti Rabbi cino kaŋ i ga haggoy d'a gumo Israyla izey kulu do, i zamaney kulu ra.
43Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner shall eat of it,
43 Rabbi ne Musa nda Haruna se: «Woone ga ti Paska farilla: Yaw kulu s'a ŋwa.
44but every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat of it.
44 Amma bannya kaŋ i day da nooru, da ni n'a dambangu, woodin banda nga mo m'a ŋwa.
45A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it.
45 Amma ce-yaw, da sufuray goy-teerey s'a ŋwa.
46In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry out anything of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall you break a bone of it.
46 Fu ra no i g'a ŋwa. Ni ma si hay kulu sambu a hamo ra ka kond'a taray, ni s'a biri fo kulu ceeri mo.
47All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
47 Israyla izey jama kulu ga haggoy d'a.
48When a stranger shall live as a foreigner with you, and will keep the Passover to Yahweh, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one who is born in the land: but no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
48 Da yaw go ni do da goray, nga no, a ga ba nga ma Paska haggoy Rabbi se, i m'a alborey kulu dambangu, waato din gaa a ma maan ka Paska haggoy. A ga saba nda boro kaŋ i hay laabo ra. Amma wo kaŋ sinda dambanguyaŋ, a s'a ŋwa.
49One law shall be to him who is born at home, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you.”
49 Sanni folloŋ no laab'ize nda yaw kaŋ goono ga goro araŋ do kulu se.»
50All the children of Israel did so. As Yahweh commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
50 Yaadin no Israyla izey kulu te. Danga mate kaŋ Rabbi na Musa nda Haruna lordi nd'a, yaadin mo no i te.
51It happened the same day, that Yahweh brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
51 A ciya binde, zaaro din ra Rabbi na Israyla izey fattandi Misira laabo ra, kunda-kunda.
