14

1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1 Rabbi salaŋ Musa se ka ne:
2“Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall encamp opposite it by the sea.
2 «Ma ne Israyla izey se i ma bare ka zumbu Pi-Hahirot meyo jine, Migdol da teeko game ra, Baal-Zefon jine, a tanjay no araŋ ga zumbu teeko me gaa.
3Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.’
3 Zama Firawna ga salaŋ Israyla izey boŋ ka ne: ‹I te boŋdaray laabo ra. Saajo n'i daabu.›
4I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh.” They did so.
4 Ay mo ga Firawna bina sandandi hal a m'i banda gana. Ay ga du beeray mo Firawna nd'a kundey kulu do. Misirancey ga bay mo kaŋ ay no ga ti Rabbi.» Yaadin mo no i te.
5It was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed towards the people, and they said, “What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”
5 I ci Misira bonkoono se ka ne borey zuru. Kala Firawna nda nga bannyey biney bare borey gaa. I ne: «Ifo no hayo wo kaŋ iri te, mate kaŋ iri na Israyla taŋ, i ma fay d'iri se tamtara?»
6He prepared his chariot, and took his army with him;
7and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them.
8Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.
8 Rabbi mo na Misira bonkoono Firawna bina sandandi. A na Israyla izey cey gana mo, zama Israyla izey fatta no gaabi-nda-gaabi boŋ.
9The Egyptians pursued after them: all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army; and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon.
9 Misirancey mo n'i banda gana nda bariyaŋ, hala nda Firawna torkey d'i kaarukoy, d'a wongu marga. A n'i to nango kaŋ i zumbu teeko me gaa, Pi-Hahirot tanjay, Baal-Zefon jine.
10When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.
10 Saaya kaŋ Firawna maan, Israyla izey mo na ngey boŋ sambu. Kal i di Misirancey go ga kaa ngey banda nda wongu marga, i humburu gumo mo. Israyla izey na jinde tunandi Rabbi gaa,
11They said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?
11 ka ne Musa se: «Zama saarayyaŋ si no Misira ra se no ni n'iri candi neewo zama iri ma bu saajo ra, wala? Ifo no woone kaŋ ni te iri se, kaŋ ni n'iri kaa Misira ra?
12Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.”
Iri go ga ne: ‹Ma fay d'iri, iri ma may Misirancey se, zama iri ma may Misirancey se bisa iri se iri ma bu saajo wo ra.› »
13Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them again.
14Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”
14 Rabbi no ga tangam araŋ se. Wa dangay hinne day.»
15Yahweh said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.
16Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go into the midst of the sea on dry ground.
Israyla izey mo ma furo teeko bindo ra, i ga laabu kogo taamu.
17I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.
17 Ay mo, guna, ay ga Misirancey biney sandandi, i ga furo mo i banda. Ay ga du beeray mo Firawna nda nga kunda kulu boŋ d'a torkey d'a bari-karey.
18The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.”
18 Misirancey ga bay kaŋ ay no ga ti Rabbi, d'ay du beeray Firawna nda nga torkey d'a bari-karey boŋ.»
19The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.
19 Kala Irikoy malayka kaŋ go Israyla jama jine g'i candi tun ka ye i banda. Buru sari himando tun i jine haray ka kay i banda.
20It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one didn’t come near the other all the night.
20 A furo Misira jama nda Israyla jama game ra. Buro gonda kubay kambu fo haray, amma kambu fa a na kaari no cin. Cino din kulu jama fa mana maan afa.
21Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
21 Kala Musa na nga kamba salle teeko boŋ. Rabbi naŋ teeko ma soobay ka ye banda wayna funay haw gaabikooni fo kaŋ goono ga faaru cino kulu sabbay se. A na teeko kogandi, harey mo fay ihinka.
22The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.
22 Israyla izey furo teeko bindo ra, i go ga laabo taamu. Haro kay i se ka te jabu i kambe ŋwaari nd'i kambe wow gaa.
23The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea: all of Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
23 Misirancey n'i gana ka furo teeko bindo ra i banda, Firawna bariyey d'a torkey d'a bari-karey kulu.
24It happened in the morning watch, that Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.
24 A ciya mo, mo boyaŋ alwaato ra Rabbi na Misirancey wongu marga niigaw buru nda danji sari himandey ra k'i wongu marga jijirandi.
25He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, “Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”
25 A n'i torkey cey dagu, kala da cat gaa no i n'i candi tiŋay sabbay se, hala Misirancey ne: «Iri ma zuru Israyla se, zama Rabbi go i do haray ga yanje nda Misirancey.»
26Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.”
26 Rabbi ne Musa se: «Ni kamba salle teeko boŋ, zama haro ma ye Misirancey d'i torkey d'i bari-karey boŋ.»
27Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh’s army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.
28 Haro binde ye. I ra baa afo mana cindi.
29But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.
29 Amma Israyla izey na laabu kogo taamu teeko bindo ra. Haro mo te i se jabu kambu hinka kulu gaa, kambe ŋwaari nda kambe wow.
30Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
30 Yaadin no Rabbi na Israyla faaba nd'a zaaro din ra Misirancey kambe ra, Israyla izey di Misirancey buukoy teeko jabo gaa mo.
31Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh, and in his servant Moses.
31 Israyla di goy bambata kaŋ Rabbi goy Misirancey boŋ, jama humburu Rabbi mo. I na Rabbi nd'a tamo Musa mo cimandi.
