1Now these are the heads of their fathers’ households, and this is the genealogy of those who went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king:
1 Woone yaŋ binde, ngey no ga ti kaayey windey boro beerey kaŋ yaŋ kaa ay banda ka fun Babila, bonkoono Artasersiz mayra ra. I asulo lasaabuyaŋ neeya:

10Of the sons of Shelomith, the son of Josiphiah; and with him one hundred sixty males.
10 Selomit izey do haray: Yosifiya ize; a banda mo alboro zangu nda waydu.

12 Azgad izey do haray: Yohanan, Hakkatam ize; a banda mo alboro zangu nda iway.
13Of the sons of Adonikam, who were the last; and these are their names: Eliphelet, Jeuel, and Shemaiah; and with them sixty males.
13 Adonikam izey do haray, kokor banda waney nooya: i maayey Elifelet, da Yeyel, da Semaya; i banda mo alboro waydu.
14Of the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zabbud; and with them seventy males.
14 Bigbay izey do haray mo: Utay da Zakkur; i banda mo alboro wayye.
15I gathered them together to the river that runs to Ahava; and there we encamped three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
15 Ay n'i margu ka kond'ey isa kaŋ ga zulli ka koy Ahaba do. Noodin no iri zumbu jirbi hinza. Ay na jama da alfagey guna mo. Kal ay gar Lawi borey do haray baa afo si no.
16Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, who were teachers.
17I sent them forth to Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia; and I told them what they should tell Iddo, and his brothers the Nethinim, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.
17 Ay n'i donton i ma koy jine bora Iddo do, nga kaŋ go Kasifiya. Ay ci i se mo haŋ kaŋ i ga ci Iddo nda nga nya-izey se, ngey: Irikoyo windo goy-izey kaŋ yaŋ go Kasifiya ra. Ay ne i ma kande iri se saajaw teekoyaŋ iri Irikoyo windo se.
18According to the good hand of our God on us they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brothers, eighteen;
18 Iri Irikoyo gomno se kaŋ go iri boŋ mo, i kande iri se boro laakalkooni fo Mali izey do haray wane, Lawi ize, Israyla ize. I kande mo Serebiya nda nga izey, d'a nya-izey, boro way cindi ahakku.
19and Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brothers and their sons, twenty;
19 I kande Hasabiya mo, nga nda Yesaya, Merari izey do haray wane, da mo nga nya-izey d'i izey, boro waranka.
20and of the Nethinim, whom David and the princes had given for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinim: all of them were mentioned by name.
20 Windo goy-izey do haray, ngey kaŋ Dawda nda koyey nooyandi Lawi borey gaayaŋ se, goy-ize zangu hinka nda waranka go no. I n'i kulu maa ce mo.
21Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek of him a straight way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
21 Waato din gaa ay na mehaw fe, noodin Ahaba isa me gaa, zama iri m'iri boŋ kaynandi iri Irikoyo jine, iri ma fondo ceeci a do mo kaŋ ga saba iri boŋ se d'iri zankey se, da hay kulu kaŋ iri gonda mo se.
22For I was ashamed to ask of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, “The hand of our God is on all those who seek him, for good; but his power and his wrath is against all those who forsake him.”
22 Zama haawi n'ay di ay ma bonkoono ŋwaaray a m'iri gaa da sooje marga nda bari-kariyaŋ i m'iri yanjekaarey kosaray iri se fonda boŋ. Zama iri jin ka ne bonkoono se kaŋ iri Irikoyo kambe go borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ g'a ceeci boŋ, zama nga ma gomni te i se, amma a hino d'a dukuro go borey kaŋ yaŋ fay d'a kulu boŋ.
23So we fasted and begged our God for this: and he was entreated of us.
23 Kal iri mehaw, iri n'iri Irikoyo ŋwaaray woodin boŋ. A maa iri ŋwaara se mo.
24Then I set apart twelve of the chiefs of the priests, even Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers with them,
24 Waato din gaa ay na boro way cindi hinka fay waani alfagey arkusey ra, sanda Serebiya nda Hasabiya, d'i nya-izey ra boro way i banda.
25and weighed to them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his princes, and all Israel there present, had offered:
25 Ay na nzarfo neesi i se, da wura, da taasa jinayey. Woodin yaŋ ga ti nooyaŋ iri Irikoyo windo se, haŋ kaŋ bonkoono da nga faadancey d'a laabukoyey da Israyla kulu kaŋ go noodin mo no.
26I weighed into their hand six hundred fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels one hundred talents; of gold one hundred talents;
26 Ay neesi ka daŋ i kambe ra nzarfu ton waranza cindi hinka, da nzarfu jinay ton gu. Wura mo, ton gu go no.
27and twenty bowls of gold, of one thousand darics; and two vessels of fine bright brass, precious as gold.
27 Wura taasa waranka go no mo, i kulu kilo taaci tiŋay, da guuru-say taasa hinka kaŋ yaŋ ga haaga, i ga boori, i caadayaŋo mo danga wura no.
28I said to them, “You are holy to Yahweh, and the vessels are holy; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering to Yahweh, the God of your fathers.
28 Ay ne i se mo: «Araŋ wo hananteyaŋ no Rabbi se, jinayey wo mo hananteyaŋ no. Wura nda nzarfey mo bine yadda nooyaŋ no Rabbi araŋ kaayey Irikoyo se.
29Watch, and keep them, until you weigh them before the chiefs of the priests and the Levites, and the princes of the fathers’ households of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the rooms of the house of Yahweh.”
29 Wa te laakal ka haggoy d'ey kala hano kaŋ araŋ g'i neesi alfagey arkusey nda Lawi borey, da Israyla kaayey windi arkusey mo jine, Urusalima ra, Rabbi windo fu-izey ra.»
30So the priests and the Levites received the weight of the silver and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.
30 Kala alfagey nda Lawi borey na wura nda nzarfu neesanta nda jinayey din mo ta, zama ngey ma kand'ey iri Irikoyo windo do Urusalima.
31Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and the bandit by the way.
31 Gaa no iri tun Ahaba isa boŋ, handu sintina, zaari way cindi hinkanta hane, zama iri ma koy Urusalima. Iri Irikoyo kamba mo go iri boŋ. A n'iri faaba iri yanjekaarey gaa da gumandi izey kambey ra mo fonda boŋ.
32We came to Jerusalem, and stayed there three days.
32 Iri kaa Urusalima mo ka te jirbi hinza noodin.
33On the fourth day the silver and the gold and the vessels were weighed in the house of our God into the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, the Levite;
33 Jirbi taacanta hane mo i na wura nda nzarfu nda jinayey neesi iri Irikoyo fuwo ra. I n'a daŋ Meremot, Alfa Uriya izo kambe ra. (Eliyezar, Fineyas izo mo go a banda, nga nda Yozabad Yesuwa ize, da Nowadiya Binnuwi izo, kaŋ ga ti Lawi boroyaŋ.)
34the whole by number and by weight: and all the weight was written at that time.
34 I kulu baayaŋo d'i tiŋa boŋ, i n'i kulu tiŋa neesi mo alwaato din, k'a hantum.
35The children of the captivity, who had come out of exile, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel, twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve male goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering to Yahweh.
35 Tamtaray izey mo kaŋ yaŋ tun ka fun yawtaray laabey ra kande sargayyaŋ kaŋ i ga ton Israyla Irikoyo se: yeeji way cindi hinka Israyla kulu se, da feeji gaaru wayga cindi iddu, da feej'ize wayye cindi iyye, da hincin jindi way cindi hinka kaŋ ga te zunubi se sargay. Woodin yaŋ kulu sargay kaŋ i ga ton yaŋ no Rabbi se.
36They delivered the king’s commissions to the king’s satraps, and to the governors beyond the River: and they furthered the people and God’s house.
36 Bonkoono lordo mo, i n'a daŋ laabu koyey kambey ra, da mayraykoyey kaŋ yaŋ go isa banda se mo. Ngey mo na jama nda Irikoy windo gaakasinay.
