Habakkuk

3

1A prayer of Habakkuk, the prophet, set to victorious music.
1 Annabi Habaku adduwa neeya. I g'a baytu da Sijiyonot subo:
2Yahweh, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, Yahweh. Renew your work in the midst of the years. In the midst of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.
Ya Rabbi, ma ni goyey tajandi jiirey bindi ra, Ni m'i bayrandi mo jiirey bindi ra. Futay ra mo ni ma fongu suuji.
3God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and his praise filled the earth.
3 Irikoy kaa ka fun Teman haray, Hananyankoyo fun Paran tondo do. (Wa dangay) A darza ga beeney daabu, ndunnya mo to nd'a sifayaŋo.
4His splendor is like the sunrise. Rays shine from his hand, where his power is hidden.
4 A nyaaleyaŋo mo ga bisa wayna kaariyaŋ, Sansariyaŋ ga fun a kambey ra, Noodin mo no a hino go tugante.
5Plague went before him, and pestilence followed his feet.
5 A jine balaaw goono ga fun ka koy, Balaaw doori mo goono g'a banda gana.
6He stood, and shook the earth. He looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains were crumbled. The age-old hills collapsed. His ways are eternal.
6 A kay ka ndunnya neesi, A guna ka ndunnya dumey jijirandi. Za doŋ tondi kuukey bagu-bagu, A tudey kaŋ ga duumi sumbal. A fondey mo, za zamaney kaŋ sinda me wane yaŋ no.
7I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction. The dwellings of the land of Midian trembled.
7 Ay di kaŋ Etiyopi kuuru fuwey go kankami ra, Midiyan waney mo go ga jijiri.
8Was Yahweh displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode on your horses, on your chariots of salvation?
8 Rabbi dukur isey se, wala? Ni futa go isey do haray, Wala mo ni bine tunay go teeko do haray?
9You uncovered your bow. You called for your sworn arrows. Selah. You split the earth with rivers.
10The mountains saw you, and were afraid. The storm of waters passed by. The deep roared and lifted up its hands on high.
11The sun and moon stood still in the sky, at the light of your arrows as they went, at the shining of your glittering spear.
11 Wayna da hando kay ngey nangey ra, Ni hangawey kaariyaŋ kaŋ i ga dira nd'a, Da ni yaajo nyaaleyaŋo walayyaŋ mo i jine.
12You marched through the land in wrath. You threshed the nations in anger.
13You went forth for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the land of wickedness. You stripped them head to foot. Selah.
13 Ni fatta ni jama faabayaŋ se, Ni wane suubananta faabayaŋ sabbay se no. Ni na fuwo beena bagu boro laalo windo ra, Ni n'a feeri-feeri mo za ganda gaa kala boŋo gaa. (Wa dangay)
14You pierced the heads of his warriors with their own spears. They came as a whirlwind to scatter me, gloating as if to devour the wretched in secret.
14 A yaajey no ni na wongaarey boŋey hay d'a, I kaa sanda alma haw cine zama ngey m'iri say-say. I farhã hari ga hima ngey kaŋ ga alfukaarey ŋwa tuguray ra.
15You trampled the sea with your horses, churning mighty waters.
16I heard, and my body trembled. My lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness enters into my bones, and I tremble in my place, because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, for the coming up of the people who invade us.
17For though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food; the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls:
17 Amma baa jeejay* nya si boosi te, Reyzin* nya si ize hay, Zeytun* nya taabo ciya yaamo, Farey si te ŋwaari mo -- Baa feejey daray ka fay da ngey kaley, I ma si hawey gar mo ngey kangayey gaa,
18yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
18 Kulu nda yaadin ay ga farhã Rabbi do, Ay ga farhã ay Faabakwa Irikoy do.
19Yahweh, the Lord , is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places. For the music director, on my stringed instruments.
19 Rabbi, Koy Beero no ga ti ay gaabo, A g'ay cey ye ka ciya sanda jeeri wane yaŋ cine, A ga naŋ ay ma soobay ka dira ay nangu kuukey boŋ. Doonkoy koyo se: I m'a te ay moola boŋ.
