¹In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

¹ Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim Yosiya izo koytara sintina ra no, sanni woone fun Rabbi do ka kaa Irimiya do kaŋ ne:

²Thus says Yahweh to me: Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck;

² Yaa no Rabbi ci ay se: Ma sisiri da calu yaŋ te ni boŋ se k'i sarku ni jinda gaa.

³and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;

³ M'i samba mo i ma koy Edom bonkoono do, da Mowab bonkoono do, da Amon izey bonkoono do, da Tir koyo do, da Zidon koyo mo do. Diyey kaŋ yaŋ kaa Urusalima Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya do no ga kond'ey.

⁴and give them a command to their masters, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, You shall tell your masters:

⁴ M'i lordi mo ka ne i ma koy ngey koyey do, i ma ne: Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Mate kaŋ araŋ ga ci araŋ koyey se neeya:

⁵I have made the earth, the men and the animals that are on the surface of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it to whom it seems right to me.

⁵ «Ay no ka ndunnya, da boro, da almaney kaŋ yaŋ go ndunnya ra te d'ay hin beero d'ay kambe sallanta mo. Ay g'a no mo bora kaŋ ay di ga hagu a se.

⁶Now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the animals of the field also have I given him to serve him.

⁶ Sohõ mo ay na laabey wo kulu daŋ ay tamo Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar kambe ra. Ay n'a no ganji hamey mo zama i ma may a se.

⁷All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant.

⁷ Ndunnya dumey kulu mo ga may a se, nga nd'a izo, d'a haama mo se, hala Babila laabo alwaato ma kubay. Waato din gaa no ndunnya dumi boobo da bonkooni beeri yaŋ ga nga mo daŋ tamtaray.»

⁸It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says Yahweh, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

⁹But as for you, don’t you listen to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon:

⁹ Araŋ binde ma si saal araŋ annabey din, d'araŋ gunakoy, d'araŋ hindirikoy, d'araŋ moodabal-teekoy, d'araŋ ziimey, kaŋ yaŋ ga salaŋ araŋ se ka ne: «Abada, araŋ si may Babila bonkoono se bo!»

¹⁰for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish.

¹⁰ Zama tangari annabitaray no i goono ga te araŋ se, kaŋ g'araŋ hibandi ka moorandi araŋ laabo. Ay mo g'araŋ gaaray, araŋ ga halaci mo.

¹¹But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, says Yahweh; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

¹¹ Amma dumo kaŋ ga nga jinda daŋ Babila bonkoono calo cire, a ga may a se mo, dumo din kal ay ma fay d'ey i ma goro ngey laabo ra. I ga ngey laabo far ka goro a ra mo. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.

¹²I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

¹² Ay na sanni te Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya se mo, kaŋ ga saba nda woodin yaŋ. Ay ne: W'araŋ jindey daŋ Babila bonkoono calo cire. Araŋ ma may a se d'a borey mo se, zama araŋ ma funa!

¹³Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

¹³ Ifo se no araŋ ga ba araŋ ma bu, nin da ni borey, takuba nda haray da balaaw se, haŋ kaŋ Rabbi n'a kaseetiyaŋ te dumi kaŋ wangu ka may Babila bonkoono se boŋ?

¹⁴Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

¹⁴ Wa si saal annabey sanney kaŋ i goono ga ci araŋ se ka ne: «Abada, araŋ si may Babila bonkoono se bo!» -- zama tangari annabitaray no i goono ga te araŋ se.

¹⁵For I have not sent them, says Yahweh, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.

¹⁵ Zama ay wo man'i donton, yaa no Rabbi ci, amma i goono ga tangari annabitaray te ay maa ra. Woodin sabbay se no ay g'araŋ gaaray araŋ ma halaci, araŋ da annabey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga annabitaray sanney din te araŋ se.

¹⁶Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

¹⁶ Ay salaŋ alfagey da jama kulu mo se ka ne: Yaa no Rabbi ci: Wa si hangan araŋ annabey sanney se, kaŋ yaŋ goono ga annabitaray te araŋ se ka ne: «A go, d'a tonton kayna, i ga ye ka kande Rabbi windo jinayey ka fun d'ey Babila.» Zama tangari no i goono ga annabitaray te d'a araŋ se.

¹⁷Don’t listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city become a desolation?

¹⁷ Wa si hangan i se bo! Wa soobay ka may Babila bonkoono se ka funa. Ifo se no gallo wo ga ciya kurmu?

¹⁸But if they be prophets, and if the word of Yahweh be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

¹⁹For thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,

¹⁹ Zama Rabbi Kundeykoyo sanno neeya muuley*, da nyumayyaŋ bango, da taasa kanjekoyey, da jinayey kaŋ cindi gallo wo ra boŋ.

²⁰which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

²¹yes, thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:

²¹ Oho, jinayey kaŋ cindi Rabbi windo ra, da Yahuda bonkoono windo ra, da Urusalima mo ra, yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci i boŋ:

²²They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, says Yahweh; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

²² Ngey mo, i ga kond'ey Babila. I ga goro noodin mo, hala waati kaŋ ay g'i kunfa. Waato din gaa no ay ga ye ka kand'ey k'i yeti neewo. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
