Jeremiah

36

1It happened in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
1 Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim, Yosiya izo koytara jiiri taacanta ra no, sanni woone fun Rabbi do ka kaa Irimiya do ka ne:
2Take a scroll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day.
3It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do to them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
3 Hambara Yahuda dumo ga maa masiiba kulu kaŋ ay goono ga miila ay ma te i se, hal i boro fo kulu ma bare ka fay da nga fondo laala, gaa no ay g'i yaafa nd'i laala d'i zunubey mo.
4Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah; and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of Yahweh, which he had spoken to him, on a scroll of a book.
4 Kala Irimiya na Baruk Neriya izo ce. Baruk mo, sanni kulu kaŋ Rabbi ci Irimiya se, a n'i hantum tira ra, Irimiya me sanno boŋ.
5Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I can’t go into the house of Yahweh:
5 Irimiya na Baruk lordi mo ka ne: «Ay wo kay, i n'ay gaay, ay si hin ka furo Rabbi windo ra.
6therefore you go, and read in the scroll, which you have written from my mouth, the words of Yahweh in the ears of the people in Yahweh’s house on the fast day; and also you shall read them in the ears of all Judah who come out of their cities.
6 Day, tira kaŋ ni hantum ay me sanno boŋ, kaŋ ga ti Rabbi sanno, ni ma koy k'a caw borey hangey ra Rabbi windo ra mehaw zaaro hane. Ni ga sanney caw mo Yahuda jama kulu kaŋ yaŋ ga fun ngey galley ra hangey ra.
7It may be they will present their supplication before Yahweh, and will return everyone from his evil way; for great is the anger and the wrath that Yahweh has pronounced against this people.
7 Hambara i ga konda ngey hẽeno Rabbi jine. I boro fo kulu mo ma bare ka fay da nga fondo laala, zama dukuro da futa kaŋ Rabbi ci dumo wo boŋ ga beeri.»
8Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of Yahweh in Yahweh’s house.
8 Baruk Neriya izo binde goy mate kulu kaŋ annabi Irimiya n'a lordi nd'a boŋ. A go ga Rabbi sanno kaŋ go tira ra din caw Rabbi windo ra.
9Now it happened in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before Yahweh.
9 A ciya mo, kala Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim Yosiya izo mayra jiiri guwanta ra, jiiro handu yagganta ra, Urusalima borey kulu da borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ fun Yahuda galley ra ka kaa Urusalima na mehaw fe Rabbi jine.
10Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of Yahweh, in the room of Gemariah the son of Shaphan, the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the new gate of Yahweh’s house, in the ears of all the people.
10 Kala Baruk na Irimiya sanney kaŋ go tira ra din caw Rabbi windo ra, hantumkwa Gemariya Safan izo fu-izo ra, beene windi batama ra, Rabbi windo Me Tajo furoyaŋo do. A n'a caw jama kulu hangey ra.
11When Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of Yahweh,
11 Waato kaŋ Mikaya Gemariya izo, Safan ize maa Rabbi sanney kulu kaŋ go tira ra,
12he went down into the king’s house, into the scribe’s room: and behold, all the princes were sitting there, Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
12 kal a zulli ka koy bonkoono windo ra, ka koy hantumkoy fu-izo ra. Wiiza, faadancey kulu go noodin ga goro. Ngey neeya: Elisama kaŋ ga hantum, da Delaya Semaya izo, da El-Natan Akbor izo, da Gemariya Safan izo, da Zedeciya Hananiya izo, da faadancey kulu mo.
13Then Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
13 Kala Mikaya ci i se sanney kulu kaŋ nga maa waato kaŋ Baruk na tira caw jama kulu hangey ra.
14Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, Take in your hand the scroll in which you have read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand, and came to them.
14 Faadancey kulu binde na Yehudi Netaniya izo, Selemiya ize, Kusi ize donton a ma koy Baruk do ka ne: «Tira kaŋ ni caw jama hangey ra din, m'a sambu ka kand'a ni kamba ra.» Baruk Neriya izo binde na tira sambu nga kamba ra ka koy i do.
15They said to him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.
15 I ne a se: «Sohõ, ma goro k'a caw iri mo se.» Baruk binde n'a caw i hangey ra.
16Now it happened, when they had heard all the words, they turned in fear one toward another, and said to Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.
16 A ciya mo, waato kaŋ i maa sanney kulu, i bare ngey nda care gaa da humburkumay.
17They asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How did you write all these words at his mouth?
17 I na Baruk hã ka ne a se: «Ma ci iri se sohõ, mate no ni te ka sanney wo kulu hantum? Irimiya me sanno gaa no, wala?»
18Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words to me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
18 Kala Baruk tu i se ka ne: «A na sanney wo kulu ci ay se da nga meyo. Ay mo n'i hantum tira ra da dawa.»
19Then the princes said to Baruch, Go, hide, you and Jeremiah; and let no man know where you are.
Boro kulu ma si bay naŋ kaŋ araŋ go.»
20They went in to the king into the court; but they had laid up the scroll in the room of Elishama the scribe; and they told all the words in the ears of the king.
20 Ngey mo koy faada ra bonkoono do, amma i fay da tira hantumkwa Elisama fu-izo ra. I n'a sanney kulu ci bonkoono se a hanga ra.
21So the king sent Jehudi to get the scroll; and he took it out of the room of Elishama the scribe. Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes who stood beside the king.
22Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month: and there was a fire in the brazier burning before him.
22 Bonkoono goono mo ga goro jaw waate fuwo ra, handu yagganta ra. Danji go cambu ra ga di a jine.
23It happened, when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, that the king cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was in the brazier, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier.
23 A ciya binde, waati kaŋ Yehudi na tira calle hinza wala itaaci caw, kala bonkoono ma tira dumbu nda zaama k'a furu danjo kaŋ goono ga di nga jine cambo ra din ra. Kala tira kulu ton ka ban noodin cambo danjo ra.
24They were not afraid, nor tore their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants who heard all these words.
24 Humburkumay man'i di, i mana ngey bankaarayey tooru-tooru* mo, za bonkoono da nga tamey, ngey kaŋ yaŋ maa sanney wo kulu.
25Moreover Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the scroll; but he would not hear them.
26The king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet; but Yahweh hid them.
27Then the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the scroll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
27 Waato din gaa no Rabbi sanno kaa Irimiya do, waato kaŋ bonkoono na tira da sanney kulu kaŋ hantumkwa Baruk hantum Irimiya me sanney boŋ din ton. Rabbi ne:
28Take again another scroll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first scroll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.
Woodin gaa no ni ma sanni zeeney kulu hantum, wo kaŋ yaŋ go tira sintina ra kaŋ Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim ton.
29Concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, Thus says Yahweh: You have burned this scroll, saying, Why have you written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from there man and animal?
Ni ne: «Ifo se no ni hantum a ra ka ne: Daahir Babila bonkoono ga kaa ka laabo wo halaci, hal a ma naŋ boro nda alman kulu ma ban a ra?»
30Therefore thus says Yahweh concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: He shall have none to sit on the throne of David; and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
30 Woodin sabbay se no, yaa no Rabbi ci Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim boŋ: A si du boro kulu kaŋ ga goro Dawda karga boŋ, i g'a buukwa furu wayna korna da cin yeeno ra mo.
31I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring on them, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and on the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they didn’t listen.
31 Ay mo g'a ciiti, nga nda nga banda nd'a tamey i laalayaŋo sabbay se. Urusalima ra gorokoy da Yahuda borey mo, ay ga masiibey kulu kaŋ ay ci candi ka kande i boŋ -- amma i mana hangan _ay se|_.
32Then took Jeremiah another scroll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire; and there were added besides to them many like words.
32 Waato din gaa no Irimiya ye ka tira fo sambu koyne, k'a no hantumkwa Baruk Neriya izo se. Nga mo na Irimiya me sanney hantum, sanney kulu kaŋ yaŋ go tira ra kaŋ Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim ton danjo ra. I ye ka sanni woodin yaŋ dumi boobo tonton i gaa.
