Joshua

3

1Joshua rose up early in the morning; and they moved from Shittim, and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel. They lodged there before they passed over.
1 Yasuwa tun za susubay da hinay. I gana ka fun Sittim ka kaa Urdun me gaa, nga nda Israyla izey kulu. I zumbu noodin jina za i mana daŋandi.
2It happened after three days, that the officers went through the midst of the camp;
2 A ciya mo jirbi hinza banda wongu nyaŋey soobay ka gana gata ra.
3and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then you shall move from your place, and follow it.
3 I goono ga borey lordi ka ne: «Saaya kaŋ cine araŋ di araŋ Rabbo Irikoy sappa sundurko kaŋ go Lawitey alfagey boŋ ga jare, saaya din gaa no araŋ mo ga tun araŋ nangey ra k'i banda gana.
4Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Don’t come near to it, that you may know the way by which you must go; for you have not passed this way before.”
4 Amma wa jandi cindi araŋ d'a game ra, danga kambe kar zambar hinka cine, (araŋ ma si maan a gaa bo), zama araŋ ma bay fondo kaŋ no araŋ ga gana, zama araŋ mana fonda din gana ce fo.»
5Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves; for tomorrow Yahweh will do wonders among you.”
5 Yasuwa ne jama se: «W'araŋ boŋ hanandi, zama suba no Rabbi ga dambara goyyaŋ te araŋ game ra.»
6Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, “Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people.” They took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.
6 Yasuwa ye ka salaŋ alfagey se ka ne: «Wa sappa sundurko sambu ka daŋandi jama jine.» I binde na sappa sundurko sambu ka furo jama jine.
7Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
7 Rabbi ne Yasuwa se mo: «Hunkuna no ay ga sintin ka ni beerandi Israyla jama kulu jine, zama i ma bay kaŋ ay go ni banda, danga mate kaŋ cine ay goro Musa banda.
8You shall command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying, ‘When you come to the brink of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.’”
8 Ni ma alfagey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga sappa sundurko jare lordi ka ne: ‹Waati kaŋ araŋ to Urdun harey jabo gaa, araŋ ma kay tak! Urdun ra.› »
9Joshua said to the children of Israel, “Come here, and hear the words of Yahweh your God.”
9 Yasuwa binde ne Israyla izey se: «Wa kaa ka maa Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo sanney.»
10Joshua said, “Hereby you shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Hivite, and the Perizzite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Jebusite out from before you.
10 Yasuwa ne koyne: «Ne no araŋ ga bay kaŋ Irikoy fundikoono go araŋ do haray. Sikka si mo a ga Kanaanancey da Hibancey, da Perizancey, da Jirgasancey, da Amorancey, da Yebusancey gaaray araŋ jine.
11Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passes over before you into the Jordan.
11 Guna, ndunnya kulu Koyo sundurko ga bisa araŋ jine ka koy Urdun ra.
12Now therefore take twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, for every tribe a man.
12 Araŋ ma boro way cindi hinka suuban Israyla izey kundey ra, kunda kulu ra boro fo.
13It shall come to pass, when the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of Yahweh, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan will be cut off, even the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand in one heap.”
13 A ga ciya mo, waati kaŋ alfagey kaŋ yaŋ go ga Rabbi, ndunnya kulu Koyo sundurko jare, i ce taamey furo Urdun haro ra, i ga Urdun haro dumbu ka fay, danga haro kaŋ ga gunguray ka fun tudey boŋ ga margu-margu nangu folloŋ.»
14It happened, when the people moved from their tents to pass over the Jordan, the priests who bore the ark of the covenant being before the people,
14 A ciya mo, waato kaŋ cine borey fun ngey kuuru-fuwey ra zama ngey ma Urdun daŋandi se, alfagey mo kaŋ yaŋ goono ga sappa sundurko jare go jama jine.
15and when those who bore the ark had come to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark had dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the time of harvest),
15 Saaya kaŋ cine sundurko sambukoy kaa ka to Urdun, alfagey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga sundurko jare cey miri haro me gaa, (zama heemar waate kulu Urdun haro ga furo no,)
16that the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap, a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those that went down toward the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off. Then the people passed over right against Jericho.
16 kala haro kaŋ go ga gunguray ka fun tudey boŋ kay. A margu-margu nangu folloŋ, jandi kuuku fo no ngey nda Adma game ra, birno kaŋ ga maan Zaretan. Haro kaŋ zuru ka koy Gooru* Beero Teeko ra mo, danga Ciiri Teeko nooya, i n'a dumbu parkatak! Borey daŋandi mo naŋ kaŋ day ga saba nda Yeriko.
17The priests who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan; and all Israel passed over on dry ground, until all the nation had passed completely over the Jordan.
17 Alfagey kaŋ yaŋ go ga Rabbi sappa sundurko sambu kay Urdun bindo ra laabu koga boŋ. Israyla kulu mo daŋandi ka bisa laabu koga boŋ, kala jama kulu na Urdun daŋandi, pat!
