1It happened, when all the kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, who were by the sea, heard how that Yahweh had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we had passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
1 A ciya mo, alwaato kaŋ Amorancey koyey kulu, kaŋ yaŋ go Urdun daŋanta wayna kaŋay haray, da Kanaanancey koyey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go teeko me gaa, i maa kaŋ Rabbi na Urdun haro kosu Israyla izey jine, hal iri daŋandi, kal i biney yay latak! Bine-gaabi fo kulu mana cindi i ra, Israyla izey sabbay se.
2At that time, Yahweh said to Joshua, “Make flint knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.”
2 Saaya din ra binde Rabbi ne Yasuwa se: «Ni ma te captu tondi zaamayaŋ ka Israyla izey dambangu koyne, dambanguyaŋ hinkanta nooya.»
3Joshua made himself flint knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.
3 Yasuwa binde na captu tondi zaamayaŋ te ka Israyla izey dambangu jofolo kuurey ra.
4This is the reason Joshua circumcised: all the people who came out of Egypt, who were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.
4 Sabaabo kaŋ se Yasuwa n'i dambangu neeya: borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ fun Misira, kaŋ ga ti alborey, danga wongu teekoy kulu bu fonda boŋ saajo ra, i Misira funyaŋo banda.
5For all the people who came out were circumcised; but all the people who were born in the wilderness by the way as they came out of Egypt had not been circumcised.
5 Zama wo kaŋ yaŋ fun noodin kulu, i n'i dambangu. Amma wo kulu kaŋ i hay fonda boŋ saajo ra, kaŋ i fun Misira, i mana woodin yaŋ dambangu.
6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, even the men of war who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they didn’t listen to the voice of Yahweh. Yahweh swore to them that he wouldn’t let them see the land which Yahweh swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
6 Zama Israyla izey te jiiri waytaaci fonda boŋ, i goono ga dira saajo ra, hala jama kulu, danga wongu alborey kaŋ yaŋ fun Misira ban, zama i mana Rabbi sanney ta. Rabbi mo ze i se ka ne nga s'i naŋ i ma di laabo kaŋ nga ze ka ne nga g'iri no, laabu no kaŋ ga wa nda yu bambari.
7Their children, whom he raised up in their place, were circumcised by Joshua; for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them on the way.
Zama i sinda dambanguyaŋ, zama i mana i dambangu fonda boŋ.
8It happened, when they were done circumcising all the nation, that they stayed in their places in the camp until they were healed.
8 Waato kaŋ i na alborey kulu dambangu ka ban, i goro ngey nangey ra gata do hal i kulu yay.
9Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you.” Therefore the name of that place was called Gilgal, “Gilgal” sounds like the Hebrew for “roll.” to this day.
Woodin se no i ga ne nango din se Jilgal, hala ka kaa sohõ.
10The children of Israel encamped in Gilgal. They kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho.
10 Israyla izey na gata sinji Jilgal ra. I na Paska* bato te hando jirbi way cindi taacanta wiciri kambo, Yeriko batama ra haray.
11They ate unleavened cakes and parched grain of the produce of the land on the next day after the Passover, in the same day.
11 Paska wane suba i na laabo albarka ŋwa. Maasa kaŋ sinda dalbu, da jirmayyaŋ, ngey no i ŋwa han din hane.
12The manna ceased on the next day, after they had eaten of the produce of the land. The children of Israel didn’t have manna any more; but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
12 Kaŋ i na laabo albarka ŋwa, a wane suba kala Manna kay.
13It happened, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man stood in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him, and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?”
13 A ciya mo, waato kaŋ cine Yasuwa go Yeriko tanjay, kala a na nga boŋ sambu ka guna. A di boro fo go ga kay nga jine, a gonda takuba foobante nga kambe ra g'a gaay beene. Yasuwa binde koy a do ka ne a se: «Iri do haray no ni go, wala iri yanjekaarey do haray no ni go?»
14He said, “No; but I have come now as commander of Yahweh’s army.” Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshipped, and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?”
14 A ne: «Manti yaadin no! Amma ay ya Rabbi kunda wonkoy no! Ay kaa no sohõ.» A ne a se: «Ifo no ay Koyo ga ci nga tamo se wo?»
15The prince of Yahweh’s army said to Joshua, “Take your shoes off of your feet; for the place on which you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.
