1But it happened after a while, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a young goat; and he said, “I will go in to my wife into the room.” But her father wouldn’t allow him to go in.
A konda hincin ize. A ne: «Ay ga furo ay wando do fuwo ra.»
2Her father said, “I most certainly thought that you had utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to your companion. Isn’t her younger sister more beautiful than she? Please take her, instead.”
2 Wando baabo ne: «Sikka si ay wo mana ne kala ni si ba r'a pat-pat. Woodin se no ay na ni wande no ni cora se. Day, manti a kayno bis'a boori yaŋ?
3Samson said to them, “This time I will be blameless in regard of the Philistines, when I harm them.”
4Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took torches, and turned tail to tail, and put a torch in the midst between every two tails.
4 Samson binde koy ka zoŋo zangu hinza di. A na yulbeyaŋ sambu k'i didiji i dibbey gaa k'i haw care gaa dibba nda dibba. A na yulbe daŋ i kulu dibba hinka nda care game ra.
5When he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks and the standing grain, and also the olive groves.
5 Gaa no a na danji tusu yulbey gaa ka zoŋey taŋ i ma furo Filistancey farey ra, naŋ kaŋ alkama goono ga kay. A na bokwey da wo kaŋ i mana wi mo ton, hala nda zeytun kaley.
6Then the Philistines said, “Who has done this?” They said, “Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife, and given her to his companion.” The Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
6 Waato din gaa no Filistancey ne: «May no ka hayo wo te?» I ne: «Samson no, Timna bora anzuray, zama anzura n'a wando sambu k'a no a cora se.» Filistancey binde kaa k'a wando da nga baabo kulu ton da danji.
7Samson said to them, “If you behave like this, surely I will be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.”
7 Kala Samson ne i se: «Hala day ya-cine no i ga te, haciika ay mo, ay ga fansa sambu araŋ boŋ, woodin banda ay ma naŋ.»
8He struck them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and lived in the cleft of the rock of Etam.
8 A n'i kar parkatak! ce da kambe, da wiyaŋ bambata. Woodin banda no a koy ka goro Etam tondi guuso ra.
9Then the Philistines went up, and encamped in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.
9 Kala Filistancey koy ka gata sinji Yahudiya* laabo ra. I bambari Lehi ra.
10The men of Judah said, “Why have you come up against us?” They said, “We have come up to bind Samson, to do to him as he has done to us.”
10 Yahuda laabo borey ne: «Ifo se no araŋ kande iri gaa wongu?» Ngey mo ne: «Iri kaa no zama iri ma Samson haw, iri ma te a se danga mate kaŋ cine a te iri se.»
11Then three thousand men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock of Etam, and said to Samson, “Don’t you know that the Philistines are rulers over us? What then is this that you have done to us?” He said to them, “As they did to me, so have I done to them.”
I ne Samson se: «Ni mana bay kaŋ Filistancey no g'iri may? Ifo no woone kaŋ ni te iri se?» Nga mo ne i se: «Danga mate kaŋ cine i te ay se, yaadin cine no ay mo te i se.»
12They said to him, “We have come down to bind you, that we may deliver you into the hand of the Philistines.” Samson said to them, “Swear to me that you will not fall on me yourselves.”
12 I ne a se: «To, sohõ iri kaa no zama iri ma ni haw ka ni daŋ Filistancey kambe ra.» Samson ne i se: «Wa ze ay se, hala araŋ bumbey din, araŋ s'ay wi.»
13They spoke to him, saying, “No; but we will bind you fast, and deliver you into their hand; but surely we will not kill you.” They bound him with two new ropes, and brought him up from the rock.
13 I salaŋ a se ka ne: «Oho. Amma iri ga ni haw hala a ma boori, iri ma ni nooyandi i se. I binde n'a haw da korfo taji hinka. I n'a kaa taray a ma fun tondo ra.
14When he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him: and the Spirit of Yahweh came mightily on him, and the ropes that were on his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands dropped from off his hands.
14 Saaya kaŋ cine a kaa Lehi, Filistancey kubay nd'a, i goono ga kuuwa. Kala Rabbi Biya zumbu a boŋ da hin. Korfey kaŋ go a kambey gaa kulu ciya danga silli kaŋ i ton. A hawyaŋ harey kulu foobu ka fun kambey gaa ka gusam.
15He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, and put forth his hand, and took it, and struck a thousand men therewith.
15 Kala Samson du farka gawal biri taji fo.
16Samson said, “With the jawbone of a donkey, heaps on heaps; with the jawbone of a donkey I have struck a thousand men.”
16 Samson ne: «Farkay gawal biri no gusam, gusam! Farkay gawal biri no ay na boro zambar wi d'a!»
17It happened, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand; and that place was called Ramath Lehi.
17 Waato kaŋ a na sanni woodin ci ka ban, gaa no a na garbay biriyo furu k'a kaa nga kambe ra. Nango din mo, i n'a maa daŋ Ramat-Lehi.
18He was very thirsty, and called on Yahweh, and said, “You have given this great deliverance by the hand of your servant; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?”
Sohõ binde ay go ga bu da hari jaw. Wala ya kaŋ borey wo kaŋ yaŋ sinda dambanguyaŋ kambe ra?»
19But God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out of it. When he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: therefore its name was called En Hakkore, which is in Lehi, to this day.
19 Amma Irikoy na gooro kaŋ go Lehi ra din kortu kal a go, hari zotti ka fatta. Waato kaŋ a haŋ, Samson biya ye ka kaa, a yay. Woodin se no i na nango maa daŋ En-Hakkore. A go no mo Lehi ra hala hunkuna.
20He judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
