1Yahweh said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people;
2except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,
2 kala day nga dumi se kaŋ ga maan a, sanda a nya se, wala a baaba, wala a ize aru, wala a ize way, wala a nya-izey alboro,
3and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.
3 wala a wayme kaŋ ga ti wandiyo, a dumi maanante, kaŋ sinda kurnye -- i sabbay se i yadda a se a ma nga boŋ ziibandi.
4He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
4 A ma si nga boŋ ziibandi za kaŋ jine boro no nga dumey ra. A ma si nga boŋ ziibandi.
5“‘They shall not shave their heads, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beards, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
6They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.
Zama ngey no ga Rabbi sargayey salle danji ra ka ngey Irikoyo buuro mo salle. Woodin sabbay se no i ma goro fayante yaŋ.
7“‘They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane; neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband: for he is holy to his God.
8You shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of your God: he shall be holy to you: for I Yahweh, who sanctify you, am holy.
9“‘The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father: she shall be burned with fire.
9 Alfaga kulu ize way mo kaŋ ga nga boŋ ciya yaamo ka te kaaruwa, a na nga baabo ciya yaamo nooya. I m'a ton danji ra.
10“‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, nor tear his clothes;
10 Koyne, boro kaŋ ga ti alfaga beeri nga nya-izey game ra, nga kaŋ i na tuusuyaŋ jiyo soogu a boŋo gaa, kaŋ mo i n'a fay waani a ma bankaaray hanantey daŋ, a ma si nga boŋ hamney feeri, a ma si nga bankaaray kottu,
11neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
11 wala a ma si furo nangu kaŋ buuko kulu go ra.
12neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am Yahweh.
12 A ma si fatta Nangoray Hananta ra, a ma si nga Irikoyo Nangoray Hananta kaynandi mo, zama a Irikoyo tuusuyaŋ jiyo kaŋ n'a fay waani din go a gaa. Ay ya Rabbi no.
13“‘He shall take a wife in her virginity.
13 A ma hiiji wandiyo.
14A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry: but a virgin of his own people shall he take as a wife.
14 A ma si wayboro kaŋ kurnye bu hiiji, wala wayboro kaŋ i fay, wala kaaruwa. Amma a ma wandiyo suuban nga bumbo kunda dumo ra, a ma ciya a wande.
15He shall not profane his seed among his people: for I am Yahweh who sanctifies him.’”
Ay ya Rabbi no kaŋ n'a fay waani.»
16Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
16 Rabbi salaŋ Musa se koyne ka ne:
17“Say to Aaron, ‘None of your seed throughout their generations who has a blemish, may approach to offer the bread of his God.
17 «Ma salaŋ Haruna se ka ne: Ni banda ra boro kulu, i zamaney kulu ra, boro kaŋ gonda laru ma si maan _sargay feema gaa|_ ka nga Irikoyo ŋwaaro salle sargay.
18For whatever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
18 Zama boro kulu kaŋ no kaŋ gonda laru, a ma si maan: danaw, wala simbarko, wala boro kaŋ niina kortu, wala boro kaŋ dabu fo kuuyaŋ tonton,
19or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,
19 wala boro kaŋ a ce ceeri, wala a kambe ceeri,
20or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles;
20 wala koomakooni wala tinksim wala boro kaŋ a mo fa sara, wala boro kaŋ te kursa, wala bi-koy, wala boro kaŋ a alborotaray sara.
21no man of the seed of Aaron the priest who has a blemish, shall come near to offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Since he has a blemish, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
21 Alfa Haruna banda kulu kaŋ gonda laru ma si maan ka Rabbi sargayey salle, danji ra waney. A gonda laru.
22He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
22 A ga nga Irikoyo ŋwaaro ŋwa, wo kaŋ ga hanan nda wo kaŋ ga hanan gumo.
23He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a blemish; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.’”
A ma s'ay Nangoray Hananta kaynandi, zama ay ya Rabbi no kaŋ g'i hanandi.»
24So Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
