1“‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, neither shall you raise up an engraved image or a pillar, neither shall you place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am Yahweh your God.
1 «Araŋ ma si tooru kulu te araŋ boŋ se. Araŋ ma si himandi jabante sinji mo, wala tondi kuuku, wala mo araŋ ma si tondi kaŋ gonda hima-care jisi araŋ laabo ra, zama araŋ ma boŋ sumbal a se, zama ay ya Rabbi no araŋ Irikoyo.
2“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.
2 Araŋ ma haggoy d'ay asibtey ka gaakuri cabe ay Nangoray Hananta se. Ay ya Rabbi no.
3“‘If you walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
3 D'araŋ g'ay hin sanney gana ka haggoy d'ay farilley k'i te,
4then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
4 kal ay ma beene hari no araŋ se alwaatey kaŋ ga hagu ra. Laabo ma nga albarka hay, saajo ra tuuri-nyaŋey mo ma ngey izey hay.
5Your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
5 Araŋ ntaaso karayaŋo ma gay kala reyzin* kosuyaŋ. Reyzin goy mo ma to kala dumayaŋ waate. Araŋ g'araŋ ŋwaaro ŋwa ka kungu ka goro araŋ laabo ra baani samay.
6“‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one will make you afraid; and I will remove evil animals out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
6 Ay ga naŋ baani ma bara laabo ra. Araŋ ga kani, boro kulu si mo kaŋ g'araŋ humburandi. Ay ga naŋ ganji ham futay ma ban laabo ra, takuba mo si bisa araŋ laabo ra.
7You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
7 Araŋ g'araŋ ibarey gaaray. Takuba g'i zeeri araŋ jine.
8Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
8 Araŋ boro gu ga hin boro zangu ka gaaray, araŋ boro zangu fo mo ga boro zambar way gaaray. Takuba g'araŋ ibarey zeeri mo araŋ jine.
9“‘I will have respect for you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.
9 Ay g'ay jine bare ka ye araŋ do haray, k'araŋ ciya albarkanteyaŋ. Ay g'araŋ tonton, k'ay alkawlo tabbatandi araŋ do.
10You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall move out the old because of the new.
10 Araŋ ga ŋwa barma zeeno gayante gaa. Araŋ ga manaŋ ntaaso kaa kal i ma itajo daŋ.
11I will set my tent among you: and my soul won’t abhor you.
11 Ay g'ay nangora sinji araŋ game ra mo, ay fundo si araŋ fanta.
12I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be my people.
12 Ay ga bar-bare araŋ game ra, ay ga ciya araŋ Irikoyo, araŋ mo ga ciya ay jama.
13I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.
13 Ay ya Rabbi no, araŋ Irikoyo, kaŋ n'araŋ fattandi araŋ ma fun Misira laabo ra, zama araŋ ma si ye ka ciya i tamyaŋ. Ay n'araŋ taabi goy calo* ceeri ka naŋ araŋ ma dira kayante.
14“‘But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments;
14 Amma d'araŋ wangu ka maa ay se, araŋ si farilley din kulu te mo,
15and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;
15 d'araŋ g'ay hin sanney furu, d'araŋ fundey g'ay ciiti sanney fanta, hal araŋ ga wangu k'ay farilley kulu te, d'araŋ n'ay sappa tunandi --
16I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and you will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.
16 kal ay mo ma woone te araŋ se: Ay ga humburkumay taŋ araŋ gaa, danga doori kaŋ ga ŋwa, da gaaham konni kaŋ yaŋ g'araŋ moy halaci ka naŋ araŋ fundey ma suugu. Araŋ g'araŋ dumar'izey duma yaamo, zama araŋ ibarey no g'a ŋwa.
17I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.
17 Ay ga banda bare araŋ gaa mo, hal araŋ ibarey m'araŋ kar ka gaaray. Borey kaŋ ga konna araŋ g'araŋ may. Araŋ ga zuru mo baa gaarayko si no.
18“‘If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.
18 Woodin banda, d'araŋ wangu ka maa ay se hala hõ, woodin sabbay se kal ay m'araŋ gooji kala sorro iyye koyne araŋ zunubey sabbay se.
19I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like brass;
19 Ay g'araŋ dabaro boŋbeera ceeri, ya araŋ beena ciya kolay, araŋ laabo mo danga guuru-say cine.
20and your strength will be spent in vain; for your land won’t yield its increase, neither will the trees of the land yield their fruit.
20 Araŋ g'araŋ gaabo sara yaamo, zama araŋ laabo si nga albarka hay. Laabo tuuri-nyaŋey mo si ngey izey hay.
21“‘If you walk contrary to me, and won’t listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.
21 D'araŋ ga dira ka gaaba nd'ay mo, d'araŋ wangu ka maa ay se, kal ay ma kande balaaw iyye koyne araŋ boŋ araŋ zunubey lasaabo boŋ.
22I will send the wild animals among you, which will rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your roads will become desolate.
22 Ay ga ganji hamey donton araŋ game ra, kaŋ g'araŋ izey kom araŋ se, i m'araŋ almaney halaci. Araŋ ga ciya jama kayna, araŋ fondey mo ma jaŋ boro.
23“‘If by these things you won’t be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me;
23 Amma da hayey din kulu mana araŋ gooji ay se, hal araŋ ga dira ka gaaba nd'ay,
24then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.
24 kulu ay mo ga dira ka gaaba nd'araŋ. Ay bumbo mo g'araŋ kar hala sorro iyye araŋ zunubey sabbay se.
25I will bring a sword upon you, that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; and you will be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
25 Ay ga kande takuba araŋ gaa hal a ma sappa tunandiyaŋo bana. Araŋ ga margu care do araŋ kwaarey ra, ay ga balaaw samba araŋ gaa. I g'araŋ daŋ araŋ ibarey kambey ra mo.
26When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.
26 Waati kaŋ ay na ŋwaaro kaŋ gaa araŋ ga de din gazandi, kala wayboro way m'araŋ hawru hina feema folloŋ boŋ. I ga hawru lasaabu araŋ se tiŋay neesiji boŋ. Araŋ g'a ŋwa amma araŋ si kungu.
27“‘If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me;
27 Da hala hõ araŋ ga wangu ka maa ay se, amma araŋ ga dira ka gaaba d'ay,
28then I will walk contrary to you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.
28 kal ay ma dira ka gaaba nd'araŋ dukuri ra. Ay g'araŋ gooji hala sorro iyye mo araŋ zunubey sabbay se.
29You will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.
29 Araŋ g'araŋ ize arey basey ŋwa, araŋ ize wayey basey mo araŋ g'i ŋwa.
30I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.
30 Ay g'araŋ tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey halaci, k'araŋ wayna himandey dumbu, k'araŋ buukoy furu araŋ tooru himandey boŋ. Ay fundo mo g'araŋ fanta.
31I will lay your cities waste, and will bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not take delight in the sweet fragrance of your offerings.
31 Ay g'araŋ kwaarey mo ciya kurmu k'araŋ nangu hanney ciya yaamo. Ay ga wangu ka maa araŋ dugu haw kaaney.
32I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell therein will be astonished at it.
32 Ay ga laabo mo ciya kurmu hal araŋ ibarey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga goro a ra ma di a ka dambara nd'a.
33I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
33 Araŋ bumbey mo, ay g'araŋ say-say dumi cindey game ra, ay ga takuba candi araŋ banda mo. Araŋ laabo ga goro koonu, araŋ kwaarey ma te kurmuyaŋ.
34Then the land will enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
34 Alwaato din no laabo ga nga fulanzamay te ka maa kaani, alwaati kulu kaŋ a ga goro kurmu, kaŋ araŋ mo go araŋ ibarey laabo ra. Kala waati din laabo ga fulanzam ka farhã nda nga asibtey.
35As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your sabbaths, when you lived on it.
35 Alwaati kulu kaŋ a ga goro kurmu a ga du fulanzamay danga fulanzamay kaŋ a mana du araŋ asibtey ra, saaya kaŋ araŋ goro a ra.
36“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword; and they will fall when no one pursues.

37They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues: and you will have no power to stand before your enemies.

38You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will eat you up.
38 Araŋ ga halaci mo dumi cindey ra, araŋ ibarey laabey g'araŋ gon.
39Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
39 Borey kaŋ cindi araŋ ra mo ga faabu ka ciya ikomsoyaŋ i zunubey sabbay se araŋ ibarey laabey ra. I kaayey zunubey sabbay se mo no i ga faabu ka te ikomsoyaŋ i banda.
40“‘If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me,
40 I ga ngey zunubey ci mo, d'i kaayey waney. I taaley kaŋ ra i na amaana ŋwaari te ay se nooya, za kaŋ i soobay ka gaaba nda ay.
41I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity;
41 Ay mo, ay soobay ka gaaba nd'ey ka kond'ey hala ngey ibarey laabey ra. Noodin d'i biney kaŋ yaŋ sinda dambanguyaŋ ga ye ganda, d'i yadda nda goojiyaŋo kaŋ kaa i boŋ i zunubey sabbay se,
42then I will remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.
42 kal ay mo, ay ma fongu nd'ay sappa kaŋ go in nda Yakuba game ra, ay sappa kaŋ go in nda Isaka game ra, ay sappa kaŋ go in nda Ibrahim game ra mo. Ay ma fongu a gaa, ay ma fongu nda laabo mo.
43The land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them: and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they rejected my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.
43 Zama i ga laabo naŋ hal a ma farhã da nga fulanzama, alwaati kulu kaŋ a ga goro kurmu i siinoyaŋ sabbay se. I ga ngey zunubey goojiyaŋo ta mo, zama i n'ay farilley furu, i fundey n'ay hin sanney fanta mo.
44Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God;
44 Kulu nda yaadin, baa waati kaŋ i go ngey ibarey laabo ra, ay si g'i furu, ay si g'i fanta mo hal i ma halaci parkatak. Ay s'ay alkawlo tunandi i se, zama ay ya Rabbi no, i Irikoyo.
45but I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”

46These are the statutes, ordinances and laws, which Yahweh made between him and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai by Moses.
