18

1He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,
1 Yesu ye ka misa fo ci i se ka cabe a ga hima boro ma te adduwa alwaati kulu, a ma si farga.
2saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man.
2 A ne: «Alkaali fo go kwaara fo ra, kaŋ a si humburu Irikoy, a baa si nda borey mo.
3 A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’
3 Kwaara din mo wayboro fo kaŋ kurnye bu go no kaŋ ga kaa a do alwaati kulu ka ne: ‹Ma faas'ay se.›
4 He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man,
4 Day alkaalo wangu jina. Amma kokor banda a ne nga bina ra: ‹Baa kaŋ ay si humburu Irikoy, ay baa si nda borey mo,
5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
5 kulu nda yaadin, zama waybora kaŋ kurnye bu wo goono g'ay kankam, ay ga faas'a se, a ma s'ay fargandi nda nga waati kulu kaayaŋo.› »
6The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
6 Rabbi ne mo: «Wa maa haŋ kaŋ alkaali kaŋ sinda adilitaray wo ne.
7 Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
7 Irikoy binde, manti a ga faasa nga suubanantey se, kaŋ yaŋ goono ga hẽ a gaa cin da zaari, kaŋ a gonda i se suuru kuuku mo?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
8 Ay ga ne araŋ se: waasi no a ga faasa i se d'a. Kulu nda yaadin, waati kaŋ Boro Izo ga kaa, a ga gar cimi fonda ganayaŋ ndunnya ra, wala?»
9He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.
9 Yesu na misa wo ci koyne boro fooyaŋ se kaŋ yaŋ goono ga naanay ngey boŋ gaa hal ngey ya toonanteyaŋ no Irikoy jine, hala i ga boro cindey ye yaamo.
10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
10 A ne: «Boro hinka koy Irikoy* windo ra zama ngey ma te adduwa. Afa Farisi* fonda boro no, afa mo jangal taako no.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: ‘God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
11 Nga, Farisi fonda bora, a kay ka adduwa te nda nga boŋ ka ne: ‹Ya Irikoy, ay ga saabu ni se kaŋ ay wo manti sanda boro cindey cine no -- zambanteyaŋ, adilitaray-jaŋay-koyyaŋ, zina-teeriyaŋ, wala baa jangal taako wo cine.
12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’
12 Ay ga mehaw sorro hinka habu kulu, ay ga zakka kaa hay kulu gaa kaŋ ay ga du.›
13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
13 Amma jangal taakwa, kaŋ a kay banda nangu mooro, a mana baa ta ka beene guna, amma a soobay ka nga ganda di _bine saray sabbay se|_ ka ne: ‹Ya Irikoy, m'ay suuji, ay kaŋ ga ti zunubikoono.›
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
14 Ay ga ne araŋ se: boro wo koy fu adilante _Irikoy jine|_, amma manti afa din. Zama boro kaŋ ga nga boŋ beerandi, i g'a kaynandi. Amma boro kaŋ ga nga boŋ kaynandi, i g'a beerandi.»
15They were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
15 I kande Yesu se mo zanka kayna yaŋ, zama a m'i ham. Amma waato kaŋ talibey di woodin, i deen'i gaa.
16Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
16 Amma Yesu na talibey ce nga do ka ne: «Wa naŋ zanka kayney ma kaa ay do. Wa s'i ganji, zama woone yaŋ dumi no Irikoy koytara ga bara nd'a.
17 Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
17 Haciika ay ga ne araŋ se: boro kulu kaŋ si Irikoy koytara ta sanda zanka kayna cine, a si furo a ra hal abada.»
18A certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
18 Jine boro fo mo na Yesu hã ka ne: «Alfa hanno, ifo no ay ga hima ka te hal ay ma du fundi hal abada ka tubu?»
19Jesus asked him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one—God.
19 Yesu ne a se: «Ifo se no ni ga ne ay se ihanno? Ihanno kulu si no kal afolloŋ, Irikoy hinne.
20 You know the commandments: ‘Don’t commit adultery,’ ‘Don’t murder,’ ‘Don’t steal,’ ‘Don’t give false testimony,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”
20 To. Ni ga lordey* bay kaŋ ne: ‹Ni ma si zina, ni ma si boro wi, ni ma si zay, ni ma si tangari seeda te, ni ma ni baaba nda ni nya beerandi.› »
21He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”
21 Bora ne: «Woodin yaŋ kulu no ay gana ka haggoy d'ey za ay go arwasu.»
22When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me.”
22 Amma kaŋ Yesu maa woodin, a ne a se: «Hari folloŋ no ni jaŋ jina. Ma koy ka hay kulu neera kaŋ go ni se ka fay-fay talkey se -- ni mo ga du arzaka beena ra. Ma kaa mo k'ay gana.»
23But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.
23 Amma waato kaŋ a maa woodin, a zici dumbu zama nga wo arzakante no gumo.
24Jesus, seeing that he became very sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!
24 Kaŋ Yesu di woodin, a ne: «Da cat no ngey kaŋ gonda arzaka ma furo Irikoy koytara ra!
25 For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
25 Zama a ga faala yo se a ma furo sana fune ra, da arzakante ma furo Irikoy koytara ra.»
26Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”
26 Ngey kaŋ yaŋ maa ne: «Yaadin gaa binde, may no ga hin ka du faaba?»
27But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
27 Amma Yesu ne: «Haŋ kaŋ si te borey do, a ga te Irikoy do.»
28Peter said, “Look, we have left everything, and followed you.”
28 Bitros mo ne: «Guna me, iri na hay kulu naŋ ka ni gana.»
29He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the Kingdom of God’s sake,
30 who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.”
30 kaŋ ga jaŋ ka du riiba boobo zamana wo ra. Zamana kaŋ ga kaa ra mo, a ga du fundi hal abada.»
31He took the twelve aside, and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.
31 Yesu na iway cindi hinka sambu nga banda ka ne i se: «Wa guna, iri goono ga koy Urusalima*. Hay kulu mo kaŋ i hantum annabey do Boro Izo boŋ, i g'i toonandi.
32 For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.
32 Zama i g'a daŋ dumi cindey kambey ra. Ngey mo g'a hahaara k'a fanta, ka tufa a gaa,
33 They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”
33 i g'a barzu k'a wi. Jirbi hinzanta hane mo a ga ye ka tun.»
34They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they didn’t understand the things that were said.
34 Amma i mana faham da hayey din kulu. Sanno wo mo goro tugante i se, hal i mana faham da hayey din kaŋ a ci.
35It happened, as he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.
35 A go no mo, waato kaŋ Yesu maan Yeriko kwaara, kala danaw fo go ga goro fonda me gaa ga bar kar.
36Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.
36 Kaŋ a maa borey marga yooje kaŋ goono ga bisa, a soobay ka hã haŋ kaŋ no wo.
37They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
37 I ne a se: «Yesu, Nazara bora no go ga bisa.»
38He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
38 Sahãadin a na nga jinde sambu ka ne: «Ya Yesu, Dawda izo, ma bakar ay se!»
39Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 Ngey kaŋ yaŋ go jina sintin ka deen'a gaa ka ne a ma dangay. Amma a na nga jinda sambu gumo, ka ne: «Ya Dawda izo, ma bakar ay se!»
40Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,
40 Kala Yesu kay ka ne i ma kand'a nga do. Waato kaŋ a maan mo, Yesu n'a hã ka ne:
41 “What do you want me to do?” He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”
41 «Ifo no ni ga ba ay ma te ni se?» A ne: «Rabbi, ay ma du ka di koyne.»
42Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.”
42 Yesu ne a se: «Ni ma di. Ni cimbeero* na ni no baani.»
43Immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
43 Sahãadin-sahãadin a ye ka di, ka Yesu gana, a goono ga Irikoy beerandi. Boro kulu kaŋ di woodin mo na Irikoy kuku.
