Matthew

22

1Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
1 Yesu ye ka salaŋ i se koyne nda misayaŋ ka ne:
2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
2 «Beene* koytara go sanda koy fo kaŋ na hiijay batu te nga izo se.
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
3 Day, a na nga tamyaŋ donton ka borey ce kaŋ yaŋ se i na hiijay bato ci ka ne i ma kaa. I binde wangu ka kaa.
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’
4 Koyo na tam fooyaŋ donton koyne ka ne: ‹Wa ci borey kaŋ yaŋ i ce se: A go, i na ŋwaari soola. I n'ay yeejey d'ay alman naasey wi. I na hari kulu soola ka ban. Wa kaa hiijay bato do.›
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
5 Amma i mana saal a. I na ngey koyyaŋ te, afo koy nga fari, afo mo koy habu.
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
6 Cindey mo n'a tamey di k'i gurzugandi k'i wi.
7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
7 Kala koyo futu. A na nga wongu marga donton ka boro-wiyey din halaci, k'i kwaara ton parkatak.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
8 Gaa no a ne nga tamey se: ‹Sikka si, hiijay bato go soolante, amma borey kaŋ yaŋ i ce, i mana to r'a.
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’
9 Sohõ binde, wa koy birni meyey gaa. Borey kulu kaŋ araŋ ga di, w'i ce i ma kaa hiijay bato do.›
10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
10 Tamey koy mo birni meyey gaa. Borey kulu kaŋ i di i n'i margu, boro laaley da boro hanney. Hiijay bato binde to da yaw.
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,
11 Amma waato kaŋ koyo furo zama nga ma di yawey, kal a di boro fo kaŋ mana hiijay bato kwaay daŋ.
12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
12 A ne a se: ‹Ay bora, mate no ni te ka furo ne, ni sinda kwaay?› Bora dangay.
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
13 Gaa no koyo ne nga tamey se: ‹W'a kuntunkulma, k'a catu taray, kubay biyo ra. Noodin no i ga hẽ ka hinjey kanji.›
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”
14 Zama borey kaŋ i ce, iboobo no, amma borey kaŋ i suuban ikaynayaŋ no.»
15Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
15 Saaya din ra binde Farisi* fonda borey koy ka ngey saaware te mate kaŋ ngey ga Yesu hirri k'a di a sanno ra.
16They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone.
16 I na ngey talibiyaŋ donton a gaa nda Hirodus* boro fooyaŋ care banda. I kaa ka ne: «Alfa, iri ga bay kaŋ ni ya cimikoy no, cimi ra mo no ni goono ga Irikoy fonda dondonandiyaŋo te. Ni baa si nda boro kulu zama ni si baar'a-baar'a te mo.
17Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
17 Ni binde ma ci iri se, ni diyaŋ gaa ifo no ni ga ho? A ga halal iri ma jangal bana Kaysar* se no, wala manti yaadin no?»
18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
18 Amma za kaŋ Yesu faham d'i laalayaŋo, a ne i se: «Ifo se no araŋ g'ay si, araŋ munaficey?
19 Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius.
19 Wa jangal nooru cab'ay se.» I na dinari* nooru ize fo no a se.
20He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
20 A ne i se: «Foto nda hantumo wo binde, may wane no?»
21They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
21 I ne a se: «Kaysar wane no.» Nga mo ne i se: «Wa Kaysar hayey no Kaysar se. Irikoy hayey mo, araŋ m'i no Irikoy se.»
22When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.
22 Waato kaŋ i maa woodin, i dambara. I fay d'a ka ngey fondo gana.
23On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
23 Han din hane Sadusi* fonda borey, kaŋ yaŋ goono ga ne buukoy tunandiyaŋ si no, ngey mo kaa Yesu do k'a hã.
24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’
24 I ne: «Alfa, Musa ne da boro fo bu, a sinda ize, kal a nya-ize m'a wando hiiji ka du ize nga nya-izo se.
25Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother.
25 Waato mo nya-ize iyye go ne iri do. Ijina hiiji ka bu, a mana hay. A banda-ka-zumba mo n'a wando hiiji.
26In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
26 Nga mo yaadin, da ihinzanta mo -- hala i boro iyya kulu me, baa afo mana hay waybora gaa.
27After them all, the woman died.
27 Ikulu banda no waybora mo bu.
28In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”
28 To. Kayando hane binde, i boro iyya din ra, may wande no a ga bara? Zama ikulu n'a hiiji.»
29But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
29 Amma Yesu tu ka ne i se: «Araŋ harta, zama araŋ si Tawretu nda Zabura* nda Annabey* Tirey bay, araŋ mana Irikoy hino mo bay.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.
30 Zama tunyaŋo ra wo i si hiiji, i s'i hiijandi mo, amma i go sanda beena ra malaykey cine.
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
31 Amma tunyaŋo ciine ra, araŋ mana caw ce fo bo, haŋ kaŋ Irikoy ci araŋ se kaŋ a ne:
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
32 ‹Ay no ga ti Ibrahim Irikoyo, da Isaka Irikoyo, da Yakuba Irikoyo?› Nga wo manti buukoy Irikoy no bo, amma fundikooney wane no.»
33When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
33 Waato kaŋ borey maa woodin i te dambara nd'a dondonandiyaŋo.
34But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
34 Amma Farisi fonda borey, waato kaŋ i maa Yesu na Sadusi fonda borey me daabu, i margu care banda.
35One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
35 I ra afo kaŋ ga Tawretu* bay na Yesu hã k'a si ka ne:
36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
36 «Alfa, woofo ga ti lordo* kaŋ ga bisa ikulu Tawreto ra?»
37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
37 Yesu ne a se: « ‹Ni ma ba Rabbi ni Irikoyo da ni bina kulu, da ni fundo kulu, da ni laakalo kulu mo.›
38 This is the first and great commandment.
38 Woodin no ga ti ibeero, nga mo no ga ti ijina.
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
39 Afo mo koyne, ihinkanta, sanda woodin cine: ‹Ni ma ba ni gorokasin danga ni boŋ cine.›
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
40 Lordi hinka din, i gaa no Tawretu nda annabey sanney kulu goono ga sarku.»
41Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
41 Za Farisi fonda borey goono ga margu nangu folloŋ, Yesu n'i hã
42saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”
42 ka ne: «Ifo no araŋ ga tammahã Almasihu boŋ? May se n'a ga te ize?» I ne: «Dawda ize no.»
43He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
43 A ne i se: «Day, mate no kaŋ Biya _Hanno|_ hino ra a ne a se Rabbi, kaŋ a ne:
44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’
44 Rabbi ne ay Koyo se: ‹Ma goro ay kambe ŋwaaro gaa hal ay ma ni ibarey daŋ ni ce taamey cire?›
45 “If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”
45 Da Dawda ga ne a se Rabbi, to, yaadin gaa mate no Almasihu ga te ka ciya a se ize koyne?»
46No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
46 Boro kulu mana ta ka tu a se da sanni kulu. Za han din hane mo no boro kulu mana ta k'a hã hari fo koyne.
