3Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go: perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me; and whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.
3 Gaa no Balaam ne Balak se: «Ni ma kay ne ni sargay kaŋ i ga ton jarga hal ay ma koy. Hambara Rabbi ga kaa ka kuband'ay. Hay kulu kaŋ a cab'ay se, nga no ay mo ga ci ni se.» A koy ka kaaru tudu fo kaŋ sinda tuuri-nya boŋ.

8How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy whom Yahweh has not defied?
8 Mate n'ay ga te ka boro laali kaŋ Irikoy mana laali? Mate n'ay ga te ka canda nda boro kaŋ Rabbi mana canda nd'a?
9For from the top of the rocks I see him. From the hills I see him. Behold, it is a people that dwells alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
9 Zama za tondey boŋ no ay go ga di a, za tudey boŋ no ay n'a fonnay. Guna, dumi no kaŋ i gora go waani. I s'a lasaabu mo dumi cindey game ra.
10Who can count the dust of Jacob, or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous! Let my last end be like his!”
10 May no ga hin ka Yakuba gurayze lasaabu? Baa i na Israyla fay itaaci, may no ga hin ka jare fo kabu i ra? Naŋ ay ma bu adilante* buuyaŋ, naŋ day ay kokora ma hima a wano.»

18 Kala Balaam na nga misa sambu ka ne: «Ya Balak, tun ka kay ka maa, ya Zippor izo, ma hanga jeeri ay se.
19God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?
19 Irikoy wo manti boro no, hal a ma taari, a manti Adam-ize mo no hal a ma salaŋ ka tunandi. D'a salaŋ, a ga jaŋ k'a te, wala? Wala a ma ci ka jaŋ k'a tabbatandi no?
20Behold, I have received a command to bless. He has blessed, and I can’t reverse it.
20 Guna, lordi no ay ta ay ma albarka daŋ. Irikoy no ka albarka daŋ, ay wo si hin k'a barmay bo.
21He has not seen iniquity in Jacob. Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel. Yahweh his God is with him. The shout of a king is among them.
21 A mana izefututaray kulu gar Yakuba do, a mana taali gar Israyla do. Rabbi a Irikoyo go a banda, bonkooni zamuuyaŋ go a jama ra.
22God brings them out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox.
22 Irikoy n'i fattandi k'i kaa Misira ra. A gaabo ga hima haw-bi gaabi.
23Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; Neither is there any divination with Israel. Now it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God done!
24Behold, the people rises up as a lioness, As a lion he lifts himself up. He shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”
