Psalms

42

1As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God .
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. Kora izey baytu fo no.
2My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
2 Sanda mate kaŋ cine me-kwaaray ga zuka nga ma du hari zurey, Ya Irikoy, yaadin cine no ay fundo goono ga zuka ni se.
3My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?”
3 Ay fundo goono ga maa Irikoy jaw, Irikoy fundikoono. Waatifo no ay ga kaa ka bangay Irikoy jine?
4These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I used to go with the crowd, and led them to God’s house, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.
4 Ay mundo ciya ay se ŋwaari cin da zaari, Kaŋ waati kulu borey goono ga ne ay se: «Day man no ni Irikoyo go?»
5Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.
5 Hayey wo no ay fongu, ay goono g'ay fundo soogu ay ra, Dirawo kaŋ ay goro ka te jama banda, Ay goono g'i candi ka kond'ey Irikoy windo do, Ka farhã da saabuyaŋ jinde sambu, Batu teeyaŋ jama nooya.
6My God, my soul is in despair within me. Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon, from the hill Mizar.
6 Ya ay fundo, ifo se no ni goono ga taagum? Ifo se mo no ni goono ga joote ay ra? Ma beeje sinji Irikoy boŋ, Zama ay ga ye k'a saabu a moyduma gaakasina sabbay se.
7Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves and your billows have swept over me.
7 Ya ay Irikoyo, ay fundo goono ga taagum ay ra, Woodin se no ay ga fongu ni gaa za Urdun* laabu, Da Hermon yolley, da Mizar tudo boŋ mo.
8 Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: a prayer to the God of my life.
8 Ni hari bondayey kaatiyaŋo maayaŋ gaa no guusuyaŋey ga care ce. Ni hari zurey da bondayey kulu n'ay yoole.
9I will ask God, my rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
9 Amma Rabbi ga nga baakasinay suujo lordi zaari haray, Cin mo a bayto go ay banda, Sanda ay fundo Irikoyo gaa adduwa nooya.
10As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me, while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?”
10 Ay ga ne Irikoy kaŋ ti ay tondi daaro se: «Ifo se no ni dinya ay gaa? Ifo se mo no ay goono ga dira nda bine saray ibare kankamo sabbay se?»
11Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.
11 Ay yanjekaarey wowo ga hima ay se sanda mate kaŋ cine i g'ay biriyey tutubu, Kaŋ waati kulu no i ga ne ay se: «Man no ni Irikoyo go me?»
12 Ya ay fundo, ifo se no ni goono ga taagum? Ifo se mo no ni goono ga joote ay ra? Ma beeje sinji Irikoy boŋ, Zama ay ga ye k'a saabu, Nga kaŋ ci ay moyduma gaakwa, ay Irikoyo mo no.
