6

1Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
1 Araŋ game ra, da boro fo na boro fo kalima, a ga yaaru ka koy ciitikoy kaŋ si Irikoy cimo gana do no, i ma ciiti dumbu i se? Manti hanantey do no araŋ ga hima ka koy?
1Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
2Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
2 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ hanantey no ga ndunnya ciiti? D'araŋ no ga ndunnya ciiti binde, araŋ mana to naŋ kaŋ araŋ ga sanni kayney ciiti?
2Or know ye not that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
3 Araŋ mana bay kaŋ iri no ga malaykey ciiti, sanku fa zamana wo harey?
3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, things that pertain to this life?
4If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?
4 Yaadin gaa, d'araŋ gonda zamana wo ciiti harey, araŋ ga boroyaŋ daŋ i ma ciiti, kaŋ yaŋ manti hay kulu Almasihu marga ra no?
4If then ye have to judge things pertaining to this life, do ye set them to judge who are of no account in the church?
5I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?
5 Ay go ga woodin ci zama araŋ ma haaw! Haba? Sohõ araŋ ga jaŋ laakalkooni folloŋ araŋ game ra kaŋ ga waani ka nya-izey da care sanni feeri?
5I say [this] to move you to shame. What, cannot there be [found] among you one wise man who shall be able to decide between his brethren,
6But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!
6 Amma sohõ nya-ize fo go ga konda nga nya-izo ciito do. A go ga woodin te mo ciitikoy kaŋ manti Almasihu ganakoy jine!
6but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?
7Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
7 Haciika, baa sohõ woone te mursay hari gumo araŋ da care game ra, za kaŋ araŋ ga konda care ciiti do. Manti a ga bisa araŋ ma yadda nda toonye bo? Manti a ga bisa i m'araŋ kom?
7Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?
8No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.
8 Amma araŋ bumbey no goono ga toonye, araŋ goono ga kom mo, hal araŋ nya-izey gaa.
8Nay, but ye yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that [your] brethren.
9Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
9 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ bora kaŋ sinda adilitaray si Irikoy koytara tubu no? Wa s'araŋ boŋ darandi! Boro ziibey, wala tooru ganakoy, wala zina-teerey, wala aru-ci-way, wala aru-baay,
9Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,
10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.
10 wala zayey, wala binikomey, wala baji-haŋ-ka-bugukoy, wala wowkoy, wala komkoy, ikulu si Irikoy koytara tubu.
10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
11 Araŋ ra afooyaŋ, yaadin no araŋ goro doŋ. Amma Irikoy n'araŋ nyumay, a n'araŋ hanandi, a n'araŋ adilandi* Rabbi Yesu Almasihu maa ra d'iri Irikoyo Biya do mo.
11And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.
12“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
12 Hay kulu ga halal ay se, day manti hay kulu no ga hagu ay se. Hay kulu ga halal ay se, amma ay si yadda hay kulu m'ay dabari.
12All things are lawful for me; but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
13 }waari ya gunde wane no, gunde mo go ŋwaari se, amma Irikoy ga ihinka kulu halaci. Amma i mana gaaham te zina se, amma day Rabbi se. Rabbi mo go gaaham se.
13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall bring to nought both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:
14Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.
14 Irikoy na Rabbi tunandi ka kaa buuyaŋ ra nga dabaro do, a g'iri mo tunandi.
14and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up as through his power.
15Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!
15 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ araŋ gaahamey ya Almasihu gaahamo jareyaŋ no? Ay ma Almasihu gaahamo jara sambu k'a ciya kaaruwa gaaham jare no? Abada!
15Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? shall I then take away the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid.
16Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two,” says he, “will become one flesh.”
16 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ boro kaŋ margu nda kaaruwa, a te gaaham folloŋ nga nd'a? Zama a ne: «I boro hinka ga ciya gaaham folloŋ».
16Or know ye not that he that is joined to a harlot is one body? for, The twain, saith he, shall become one flesh.
17But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.
17 Amma boro kaŋ margu nda Rabbi, a te biya folloŋ nga nd'a.
17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
18 Araŋ ma zuru zina se! Zunubi kulu kaŋ boro ga te, a si lamba boro gaahamo gaa. Amma boro kaŋ go ga zina te, a koy go ga taali te nga bumbo gaahamo se.
18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,
19 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ araŋ gaahamey ga ti Biya Hanna fuwo? Nga no go araŋ ra, Irikoy do mo no araŋ du a. Araŋ manti araŋ bumbey wane yaŋ mo no
19Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
20for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
20 zama Irikoy n'araŋ day da hay bambata. Yaadin gaa araŋ ma Irikoy beerandi araŋ gaahamey ra.
20for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.
